:00:23. > :00:27.Hello there news fans. Ore and Sonali here with you live. We have

:00:27. > :00:32.this on the way for you today: How plans to take humans to the sun are

:00:32. > :00:38.hotting up. And why this lovable beast is not

:00:38. > :00:42.looking forward to the winter. First, we are talking about runaway

:00:42. > :00:45.kids. If you have ever had an argument

:00:46. > :00:49.with your family or a fight with your brother or sister you might

:00:49. > :00:52.have felt like running away from home. There are some kids who think

:00:52. > :00:56.walking out is their only option. The Children's Society charity says

:00:56. > :00:59.each year 100,000 kids in the UK run away for at least one night and

:00:59. > :01:02.around a third are under 12. It's something that's grabbed the

:01:02. > :01:05.attention of Diversity who are backing a new campaign to raise

:01:05. > :01:15.awareness about how dangerous running away can be.

:01:15. > :01:19.Ricky has been to meet them. There are some kids out there who

:01:19. > :01:22.don't have that support network and when you have this anger, confused

:01:22. > :01:26.feel feelings, and there's no one supporting you, obviously you are

:01:26. > :01:30.not going to be in a good place, this is why we have got involved in

:01:30. > :01:35.the campaign to let people know there's something there. Tell us

:01:35. > :01:38.about the video. We filmed the video, it includes stats and more

:01:38. > :01:43.information to show people. We had loads of fun making it. There was

:01:43. > :01:46.loads of cool camera techniques like all the slow-mo. There's 11 of

:01:46. > :01:50.us in the group, we are like brothers so we have a massive

:01:50. > :01:54.support network. For anyone who is feeling angry and feels they're

:01:54. > :02:00.going to run away having that outlet of activity or something you

:02:00. > :02:04.are passionate about can help. With us today is Andy McCullough

:02:04. > :02:08.from the charity Railway Children behind this campaign. You yourself

:02:08. > :02:12.ran away as a kid, why? I ended up in care after things in my family

:02:12. > :02:16.went wrong and I felt nobody listened to me, nobody cared so I

:02:16. > :02:20.run off and would end up spending weeks at a time on the streets.

:02:20. > :02:23.It's probably a case a lot of people have had, but there's a

:02:23. > :02:27.difference between just spending a few nights away and running away

:02:27. > :02:32.and living on the streets, isn't there? Luckily most children will

:02:32. > :02:35.return home, however a lot stay out there and the dangers they face are

:02:35. > :02:39.horrific. If there is anyone out there at the moment that's feeling

:02:39. > :02:44.bad about where they're living and feels like no one kaeufrs, -- cares,

:02:44. > :02:50.what would you say? What would your advice be? Please don't suffer in

:02:50. > :02:54.silence. Speak to somebody, find aadult, a teacher, a youth worker,

:02:54. > :02:59.but don't say silent and see if you can get help. Thank you very much.

:02:59. > :03:02.We have lots more information on the Newsround website including who

:03:03. > :03:07.to contact if you are thinking about running away from home and

:03:07. > :03:14.next week we are running special reports on what it's like to be

:03:14. > :03:17.young and homeless. Now to America, there p frantic

:03:17. > :03:22.rescue scenes in New York. It was after a helicopter crashed into a

:03:23. > :03:25.river. A British woman died in the crash and two others are in

:03:25. > :03:30.hospital. Investigators are trying to find out why the helicopter went

:03:30. > :03:34.down minutes after it took off. Now a big row about whale hunting.

:03:34. > :03:37.Catching the huge mammals for money has been banned for 25 years. But

:03:38. > :03:42.this week whale hunters in Japan said they're going ahead with their

:03:42. > :03:45.annual mission to capture and kill whales in Antarctica despite lots

:03:45. > :03:49.of protests from the rest of the world.

:03:49. > :03:51.They're one of nature's most impressive figures, admired by

:03:51. > :03:56.animal lovers for their grace and size.

:03:56. > :04:00.But in one part of the globe the fascination with whales is

:04:00. > :04:03.controversial. Fishermen in Japan have been tradely hunting --

:04:03. > :04:06.traditionally hunting whales for years and catch about 1,000 a year.

:04:06. > :04:10.It's something the rest of the world think is wrong. It's

:04:10. > :04:13.something we feel strongly about and we have expressed our

:04:13. > :04:17.disappointment. In international rules say it's illegal to hunt

:04:17. > :04:21.whales and then sell on their meat, teeth or other products. Japan

:04:21. > :04:25.insists the whales they catch are for scientific research. But lots

:04:25. > :04:29.of the meat ends up on dinner plates around the country. Despite

:04:29. > :04:32.having to cut short their whaling season last year because of fierce

:04:32. > :04:37.protests, this week Japan said they're doing it again this year

:04:37. > :04:40.and they're increasing security to keep the protesters away. Many

:04:40. > :04:43.whale species are on the endangered list and their numbers are going

:04:43. > :04:46.down. Animal rights groups say they will continue to follow the

:04:46. > :04:52.fishermen to try and get them to stop when the ships leave later

:04:52. > :04:58.this year. Now look at this blazing sun. A

:04:58. > :05:00.swirling ball of gas raging at over 5,000 stke Greece sells -- degrees

:05:00. > :05:05.Celsius. You wouldn't think of getting close to the real thing, or

:05:05. > :05:08.would you? This is the solar orbitter, it's a new rocket that

:05:08. > :05:11.scientists say will go closer to the sun than ever before. It's

:05:11. > :05:16.being led by the European Space Agency and will be ready to launch

:05:16. > :05:21.in six years. A huge dust storm caused chaos

:05:22. > :05:25.yesterday when it swept across the desert in Arizona in America. It

:05:25. > :05:29.was so thick drivers couldn't see out of their windscreens. It caused

:05:29. > :05:33.a big accident on the motorway involving 16 vehicles. One man died

:05:33. > :05:37.and 12 others were injured. You might think the countryside is

:05:37. > :05:40.the best place for bird-spotting, if that's your bag. But that's not

:05:40. > :05:48.necessarily the case. Cities are home to all kinds of impressive

:05:49. > :05:54.birds. We sent Leah, from such famous wildlife series as Leah's

:05:54. > :06:00.Wild 5 to see if she could spot some. Where is the best place to

:06:00. > :06:05.spot birds of prey? I headed up and up, and up one of the tallest

:06:05. > :06:08.skyscrapers in London. We have made it to the top of tower

:06:08. > :06:12.42 overlooking this concrete jungle that is London, a stunning view.

:06:12. > :06:16.The last place you might expect to see lots of wildlife, but in fact,

:06:16. > :06:22.I am told there's hrodz of birds of -- loads of birds of prey that

:06:23. > :06:28.should be flying above us, I am hoping to spot some. We are looking

:06:28. > :06:33.for peregrines. Buzzards occasionally fly over. We are

:06:34. > :06:42.hoping for red waoeuts that have been -- waoeuts -- kites. I had no

:06:42. > :06:51.idea these birds flew across London, especially the peregrinie falcon.

:06:51. > :06:55.Got it! What is it do you think? How big are they? A pigeon?! Sadly,

:06:55. > :07:00.that was as close as we got. We haven't spotted anything today. But

:07:00. > :07:04.whether you live in a big city like London or the countryside wildlife

:07:04. > :07:11.is never far away and the key to spotting birds of prey where you

:07:12. > :07:16.live is heading outside and looking I am gutted for her, no luck there.

:07:16. > :07:20.She tries her hardest. Maybe she forgot her lucky charm, whether you

:07:20. > :07:25.believe they work or not, hundreds are on display in a special

:07:25. > :07:29.exhibition in London. Some people believe they can protect you from

:07:29. > :07:34.lightning strikes or getting getting ill. You can see more

:07:34. > :07:37.pictures on the website. Adele has been forced to cancel her

:07:38. > :07:42.ten-date tour of America because of problems with her throat. She had
