:00:21. > :00:26.Hi, guys. Hayley and Joe here at the start of another great week of

:00:26. > :00:30.Newsround action. Coming up in a Christmas cracker of a show:

:00:30. > :00:33.will find out what's next for this panda pair as they settle down to

:00:33. > :00:38.life in Scotland. And we will hear from the classroom divided by the

:00:38. > :00:43.FA Cup draw. First, to major talks about the state of our planet and

:00:43. > :00:46.the future of the polar ice caps. World leaders are meeting this week

:00:46. > :00:49.in South Africa to discuss what can be done about harmful emissions

:00:49. > :00:52.that heat up the earth. They are produced by big countries and some

:00:52. > :00:56.experts say they could cause stunning scenery like this to melt

:00:56. > :01:00.and lead to bigger problems for the rest of us. Getting all countries

:01:00. > :01:03.to agree on what to do is proving difficult. But one man they might

:01:03. > :01:07.listen to is Frozen Planet presenter Sir David Attenborough.

:01:07. > :01:15.He has been telling us why it is so important to get things sorted, and

:01:15. > :01:19.fast. This change is happening within our life time. You can adapt

:01:19. > :01:22.to slow change, quick change is much more difficult. The North and

:01:22. > :01:26.South Poles form some of the most stunning scenery on our planet and

:01:26. > :01:29.are home to some wonderful wildlife too. But all that could be under

:01:29. > :01:39.threat because global temperatures, caused by the emission of harmful

:01:39. > :01:45.

:01:45. > :01:48.Like the polar bear, up in the north, their lives are dependent on

:01:48. > :01:51.the sea ice. Here, a massive iceberg breaks away from Greenland.

:01:51. > :01:53.This happens naturally but people are worried the melting could

:01:53. > :01:56.accelerate as production and factory work in places like China

:01:56. > :02:00.and America cause gases to be released, that mean the Arctic and

:02:00. > :02:05.Antarctic continue to warm up. And it is happening more quickly than

:02:05. > :02:10.you might think. It is not just bad news for animals in that part of

:02:10. > :02:13.the world. If the ice caps continue to melt some experts say that sea

:02:13. > :02:22.levels could rise, and that could cause problems for the rest of the

:02:22. > :02:27.world. We know these changes are happening. If they go on, they will

:02:27. > :02:30.have catastrophic effects. Last week the British government

:02:30. > :02:36.announce some of its plans to tackle climate change. They want to

:02:36. > :02:41.increase the number of wind farms, bring in electric cars and protect

:02:41. > :02:45.the forests. It needs a whole world to do the same. That is why

:02:45. > :02:52.persuading China and America to cut emissions this week could have a

:02:52. > :03:02.lasting impact for years to come. Now to a celebrity couple that have

:03:02. > :03:03.

:03:03. > :03:06.been causing pandemonium. Sunshine and his mate, Sweetie, are the two

:03:06. > :03:10.Giant Pandas, who arrived at Edinburgh Zoo from China yesterday.

:03:10. > :03:13.They are the first to come to the UK for 17 years. But what does the

:03:13. > :03:16.future hold for them in their new home? Ore's been finding out.

:03:16. > :03:19.any celebrity worth talking about, pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang

:03:19. > :03:24.were greeted by excited crowds as they arrived yesterday, fresh from

:03:24. > :03:29.their nine-hour panda express flight. The atmosphere was great

:03:29. > :03:36.for us but it was awesome. I was thinking we could see them, but no,

:03:36. > :03:44.they were just in the truck. After five years of negotiations, the

:03:44. > :03:48.pandas stroll through the doors of their new 250,000 home. Sweetie

:03:48. > :03:53.and Sunshine have two weeks to settle into their new enclosure

:03:53. > :03:59.before going on display. With only 2000 pandas left in the world, the

:03:59. > :04:06.zoo is hoping the pair will breed and help to boost the panda

:04:06. > :04:14.population. Sunshine is father to over 100 pandas and Sweetie is

:04:14. > :04:21.known as pander mum because she has had so many cups. They are a great

:04:21. > :04:26.age for breeding. The fact is, few pandas are born in captivity.

:04:26. > :04:30.According to the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, they are shy about

:04:30. > :04:37.mating. They do not like to have their partners chosen for them.

:04:37. > :04:47.There is quite a lot of pressure on the pair to make some panda babies.

:04:47. > :04:54.

:04:54. > :04:57.David Beckham has been putting some smiles on faces during a tour of

:04:57. > :05:00.Australia, with his team, LA Galaxy. He surprised everyone by dropping

:05:00. > :05:06.in to surprise these kids at a Melbourne hospital. Suffice to say

:05:06. > :05:10.they were pretty happy. David Beckham came in and said he liked

:05:10. > :05:12.my pyjamas. Sticking with footy, and as rivalries go, it does not

:05:12. > :05:15.get much bigger than Man City-Man United at the moment. Yesterday,

:05:15. > :05:19.the Premier League's top two were drawn against each other in the

:05:19. > :05:21.third round of the FA Cup. United will be looking for revenge after

:05:21. > :05:25.October's 6-1 drubbing by their local rivals. And, even though the

:05:25. > :05:31.game is a month away, I have been finding out just how excited the

:05:31. > :05:37.fans are already. Manchester boasts two big clubs with one bit rivalry.

:05:37. > :05:41.At Old Trafford, it is the reds - Manchester United. On the other

:05:41. > :05:47.side of town, it is noisy neighbours, Manchester City. They

:05:47. > :05:57.have both been drawn to play each other in the third round of the FA

:05:57. > :06:03.Cup. What is it about city that will make you win? How they play.

:06:03. > :06:07.What else? How they dribble, shoot and past. What is it about

:06:07. > :06:11.Manchester United which means they will win? They had better

:06:11. > :06:17.possession and better players. to head Manchester City had beaten

:06:17. > :06:26.the Red Devils 44 times the stock United have beaten the boys in blue

:06:26. > :06:33.67 times. City have won two league titles and United have won 19. In

:06:33. > :06:42.the FA Cup, City have won five times and United have a won 11

:06:42. > :06:52.times. That was the past. This is the future. They lost 6-1, the next

:06:52. > :06:53.

:06:53. > :07:01.match they will win 7-0. Staying with football. No City or United

:07:01. > :07:07.players have made it onto the European footballer of the Year

:07:07. > :07:16.award. Wayne Rooney is up for the goal of the Year award. So, come on,

:07:16. > :07:24.Wayne! Finally, this probably has to go down as the most expensive
