0:00:29 > 0:00:31A year ago, eleven-year-old Raghba had never even played Squash.

0:00:31 > 0:00:37But now she's dreaming of playing for her country - Syria.

0:00:40 > 0:00:45She trains almost everyday, focusing on her game and working

0:00:45 > 0:00:48to be quicker on her feet.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51But five years ago, life was very different for Raghba and her family.

0:00:51 > 0:00:53When they were forced to leave their home town of Homs

0:00:53 > 0:01:02because of the war in Syria.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05They moved across the border to Jordan, where they first

0:01:05 > 0:01:06lived in a refugee camp.

0:01:06 > 0:01:12It was when the family moved to the outskirts of the city that

0:01:12 > 0:01:16Raghba and her sisters got the chance to try squash.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19She now plays in a team of four girls and it's not just

0:01:19 > 0:01:20all about the sport either.

0:01:20 > 0:01:23We have training five times a week, learning to play both squash

0:01:23 > 0:01:26and English, to help them become competitive squash players,

0:01:26 > 0:01:29so they can compete in tournaments, both here in Jordan

0:01:29 > 0:01:30and around the world.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32And we also want them to achieve academic status,

0:01:32 > 0:01:33so they can enrol in schools.

0:01:33 > 0:01:37Squash isn't an overly popular sport in Syria,

0:01:37 > 0:01:40although lots of people play it in other countries

0:01:40 > 0:01:41in the Middle East.

0:01:41 > 0:01:44But now Raghba and her team-mates are hoping to one day go back

0:01:44 > 0:01:49to Syria and share their love of the sport.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53TRANSLATION:It's been six months since I played squash

0:01:53 > 0:01:56and I want to play around the world and go back to Syria

0:01:56 > 0:01:59and become a coach.

0:01:59 > 0:02:05I want to take part in Arab and foreign tournaments.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08TRANSLATION:I like sport and especially squash

0:02:08 > 0:02:11because when I grow up I want to travel and compete

0:02:11 > 0:02:14in tournaments around the world and make Syria and my family proud.

0:03:10 > 0:03:13He put his paws around my thigh and just wouldn't let me go, really.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16I was trying to leave and he was walking with me

0:03:16 > 0:03:19on his back legs and I just thought, you know, I'd like to

0:03:19 > 0:03:21bring him home if I can.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23And give him a chance of a better life, really.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26Buddy spent 21 days in Washington, DC in the US, where vets checked

0:03:26 > 0:03:28that he was healthy and fit, before he was allowed

0:03:28 > 0:03:30to travel on to the UK.

0:03:30 > 0:03:32It looks fantastic, really good to see him,

0:03:32 > 0:03:34he was excited, I was excited.

0:03:34 > 0:03:42And it was kind of the start of the next chapter.

0:03:42 > 0:03:47This hand, ready for new adventures together. But it can all get a bit

0:03:47 > 0:03:53exhausting... LSM!

0:03:53 > 0:03:55Imagine owning somewhere as fancy as this!
