0:03:14 > 0:03:17We're talking about orcas or killer whales, as they are better known.
0:03:17 > 0:03:20For many years, these whales have performed in shows across America,
0:03:20 > 0:03:22at amusement parks run by the company SeaWorld.
0:03:22 > 0:03:25But not any more.
0:03:25 > 0:03:28In 2015, Californian authorities banned SeaWorld
0:03:28 > 0:03:30from breeding orcas in captivity.
0:03:30 > 0:03:34And after a lot of pressure from celebrities and animal
0:03:34 > 0:03:37rights groups, in 2016, SeaWorld announced they were putting
0:03:37 > 0:03:40an end to killer whales performing shows in their parks.
0:03:40 > 0:03:44This weekend marks the final show at one of those parks,
0:03:44 > 0:03:47in San Diego in California.
0:03:47 > 0:03:50SeaWorld currently has killer whale shows at two
0:03:50 > 0:03:53other parks in America - in Texas and Florida.
0:03:53 > 0:03:57But they will be gradually phased out as well.
0:03:57 > 0:04:00Instead of performing tricks, the whales will now be used to help
0:04:00 > 0:04:03teach people more about walkers.
0:04:03 > 0:04:06Animal rights groups have praised SeaWorld for making positive steps
0:04:06 > 0:04:09in the right direction. But some still think more can be
0:04:09 > 0:04:11done to help protect the animals' welfare.
0:04:11 > 0:04:15Some suggesting the whales should be moved to sanctuaries
0:04:15 > 0:04:21by the sea where they can live in an environment closer to that
0:04:21 > 0:04:23of their natural homes in the wild.
0:04:23 > 0:04:27The fight for killer whales seems set to continue into the future.
0:04:27 > 0:04:30But things are definitely changing for these underwater giants.
0:04:30 > 0:04:34And finally, a flood of plastic eggs, containing tiny toys,
0:04:34 > 0:04:37has been swept on to a beach on a German island
0:04:37 > 0:04:40after a fierce storm.
0:04:40 > 0:04:43The eggs seem to have come from a container
0:04:43 > 0:04:46lost by a cargo ship.
0:04:46 > 0:04:48Local children have been helping collect the unexpected
0:04:48 > 0:04:50treasure, before it becomes a hazard for wildlife.
