:00:00. > :00:10.You're watching Newsround with Jenny. First, Newsround has spent

:00:11. > :00:14.the afternoon with the Prime Minister to ask him your questions

:00:15. > :00:17.about school sport. Last year, David Cameron promised that all primary

:00:18. > :00:23.schools in England would get around ?9,000 each to spend on sport every

:00:24. > :00:27.year until 2016. But today he said that schools will now keep on

:00:28. > :00:30.getting that money until 2020. But there has been some criticism over

:00:31. > :00:40.how the government deals with sport in schools. Martin went to meet the

:00:41. > :00:46.PM. Why is this exclusive to primary schools, why not expand the idea to

:00:47. > :00:50.secondary schools? If you want to change sport and increase it, you

:00:51. > :00:51.need to start with primary schools because that's children at an early

:00:52. > :01:02.age. All schools need sports it makes

:01:03. > :01:07.sense to basically give the money to all schools, the bigger schools get

:01:08. > :01:12.slightly more money and the smaller schools get slightly less money but

:01:13. > :01:23.a 250 pupil primary school will get the money.

:01:24. > :01:32.The more sport, the better. Some children like PE, some like to play

:01:33. > :01:37.football or rugby, some children want to experiment with new sports

:01:38. > :01:44.like tennis or dancing. The variety is really good for children.

:01:45. > :01:50.Whatever it is, we want more. I went to a mainstream school and are used

:01:51. > :01:54.to get sent to the library when PE was on. What ensures that doesn't

:01:55. > :01:59.happen to kids with physical disabilities or special needs? This

:02:00. > :02:04.programme should be for all children, those with disabilities

:02:05. > :02:09.and those without. The money matters because sometimes you do need

:02:10. > :02:13.specialist teachers and people with expertise who know how to involve

:02:14. > :02:15.disabled children in sports and sporting activities.

:02:16. > :02:20.The opposition Labour Party say this extra money is a good idea but think

:02:21. > :02:23.the Government were wrong to get rid of one of their plans to make all

:02:24. > :02:27.primary school children in England do two hours of sport a week. And

:02:28. > :02:30.one of the biggest teaching unions, the NUT, is welcoming the extra

:02:31. > :02:34.money, but says given that many primary schools don't have dedicated

:02:35. > :02:38.PE teachers, it doesn't add up to a great deal.

:02:39. > :02:41.The 22nd Winter Games doesn't officially get underway until

:02:42. > :02:45.tomorrow but a few events have already started. Britain's Jamie

:02:46. > :02:48.Nicholls has already qualified for the final of the slopestyle

:02:49. > :02:50.snowboarding competition, and later tonight it's the ladies' moguls

:02:51. > :02:59.skiing, and the group figure skating. That's all from me, bye!

:03:00. > :03:00.Tune
