:00:00. > :00:07.Hi, I'm Leah and this is Newsround live on Wednesday morning.

:00:08. > :00:11.Today - The 15-year-old world champion drone-racer ? and -

:00:12. > :00:24.the orphaned cheetah cub who's found a new family.

:00:25. > :00:27.But first, from today, pet owners in England,

:00:28. > :00:32.Wales and Scotland will have to get their pet dogs microchipped

:00:33. > :00:37.The government believe more than a million dogs over eight weeks

:00:38. > :00:41.old will have to get it done - it'll mean a small needle a bit

:00:42. > :00:43.like getting a vaccine, but they'll have a personal identification.

:00:44. > :00:46.Charities say it gives owners a better chance of finding

:00:47. > :00:55.Joining us now is vet Fiona Buchan and Willow - a Labrador cross.

:00:56. > :01:11.Microchipping is a personal and permanent identification that we do

:01:12. > :01:14.for dogs. It is a tiny microchip about the size of a grain of rice

:01:15. > :01:19.and it sits under the skin on the back of the net. It is very easy to

:01:20. > :01:23.implant and it contains an individual number so if they ever go

:01:24. > :01:29.missing, you can turn up at any vets or kennels and they can be found. We

:01:30. > :01:41.can reunite them with their own very quickly. Willow has one. Does it

:01:42. > :01:48.hurt, what is the procedure like? Because it is so small, we just need

:01:49. > :01:53.a tiny needle. It is very quick. It never really causes any problems

:01:54. > :01:57.after that. It is compulsory from today? Already happening in Northern

:01:58. > :02:02.Ireland. Do you think that is a good idea to force pet owners to do that

:02:03. > :02:08.much to mark what is the price, is it expensive? It is very reasonable.

:02:09. > :02:12.A lot of the charities are running special offers at the moment for

:02:13. > :02:18.microchipping. We are trying to encourage people to do so. Because

:02:19. > :02:22.we can see the other side, we know when a dog comes in and we cannot

:02:23. > :02:26.find their own and we have to send them off to the dog warden and it is

:02:27. > :02:31.very heartbreaking for us. It is important to get your dog

:02:32. > :02:35.microchipped. Thank you. We have to move on now.

:02:36. > :02:38.Next, to a spectacular sport that's becoming more and more popular.

:02:39. > :02:39.Drone racing is super-fast, super competitive and even

:02:40. > :02:46.Jenny went to meet this year's winner.

:02:47. > :02:48.One course, 12 laps, 32 competitors battling it out

:02:49. > :02:51.speeds of 70 mph to become champions of the World Drone Prix.

:02:52. > :02:54.And the person leading this year's winning team?

:02:55. > :03:01.So how did this 15-year-old become the best drone pilot in the world?

:03:02. > :03:04.That's something I'm going to find out.

:03:05. > :03:08.I have been flying remote control aircraft since I can remember really

:03:09. > :03:12.and lots of little foam toys and things.

:03:13. > :03:15.I flew planes and got gradually bigger and bigger planes.

:03:16. > :03:18.One birthday when I was 14, I got given my first set of goggles

:03:19. > :03:20.and then about a year and a few months ago,

:03:21. > :03:23.I started flying the mini-drones. How do you train?

:03:24. > :03:26.Sometimes I get outside and fly and practice, if I have got

:03:27. > :03:29.a specific event I'm going to do but usually I just fly around

:03:30. > :03:31.and have fun. This is my trophy.

:03:32. > :03:33.My goodness, what did you do to win that?

:03:34. > :03:36.Our team went for a two pitstop method and we did five laps,

:03:37. > :03:40.five laps and then two laps at the end to get the most out of it

:03:41. > :03:46.How did you feel when you found out that you were the winning team?

:03:47. > :03:47.I was really excited, it was amazing.

:03:48. > :03:50.Tell me what the best thing is about flying.

:03:51. > :03:56.So what you see is a video feed from the camera or within the drone

:03:57. > :03:59.and that gives you freedom to fly round as if you are in it.

:04:00. > :04:02.You reactivate with the transmitter and you can do flips,

:04:03. > :04:03.rolls, fly around, explore, fly around trees.

:04:04. > :04:05.The possibilities are endless. Can anybody do this?

:04:06. > :04:08.Absolutely anyone can do this hobby but it is really important that

:04:09. > :04:11.you get along to your local flying club and search online

:04:12. > :04:15.Find your local flying club and everyone there,

:04:16. > :04:17.I can guarantee you, will be happy to help

:04:18. > :04:22.So, come on then, show me what you can do.

:04:23. > :04:25.I think we are going to do some freestyle but you need

:04:26. > :04:26.these goggles first. Nice.

:04:27. > :04:31.You ready? Yeah.

:04:32. > :04:44.An orphaned cheetah cub has found a family.

:04:45. > :04:47.This little cat's mum was unable to look after him when he was born,

:04:48. > :04:50.so he's been cuddling up to this soft toy and being

:04:51. > :04:57.But now he'll join a new family of Cheetah cubs who've been

:04:58. > :05:01.Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.
