0:00:05 > 0:00:06to know this Thursday.

0:00:06 > 0:00:09Keep watching for some of this.

0:00:09 > 0:00:10We've got eSports.

0:00:15 > 0:00:25And Eden Hazard - the footy star helps Chelsea stay on top.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31First, the US President Donald Trump is among the world leaders who have

0:00:31 > 0:00:34been reacting in shock this week, after chemical weapons

0:00:34 > 0:00:38were apparently used in the war in Syria.

0:00:38 > 0:00:41At least 72 people died on Monday.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43But what exactly are chemical weapons, and why do

0:00:43 > 0:00:46they cause such outrage?

0:00:46 > 0:00:49Chemical weapons are toxic chemicals that are used to hurt or kill.

0:00:49 > 0:00:54They were used in World War One, more than 100 years ago.

0:00:54 > 0:00:59They caused such horror that, in 1925, countries agreed

0:00:59 > 0:01:01to an international ban on using them in war.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04Even in war, there are rules that countries agree to.

0:01:04 > 0:01:07Some of those are about the types of weapons that can be used.

0:01:07 > 0:01:0920 years ago, there was an agreement called

0:01:09 > 0:01:11the Chemical Weapons Convention.

0:01:11 > 0:01:17192 nations, including Syria, have signed it, agreeing to destroy

0:01:17 > 0:01:20all their chemical weapons.

0:01:20 > 0:01:24That's why there's a lot of anger about the suspected attack,

0:01:24 > 0:01:29in a country that's been at war for more than six years.

0:01:29 > 0:01:31And for a full explanation of what's going on in Syria,

0:01:31 > 0:01:38go online now for our guide to the conflict there.

0:01:38 > 0:01:41Next, Pepsi have pulled their latest advert after lots of negative

0:01:41 > 0:01:42comments on social media.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45Model Kendall Jenner stars in the ad where a protest

0:01:45 > 0:01:46is taking place in America.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50She walks up to a police officer and hands him a can of Pepsi

0:01:50 > 0:01:51and then everyone cheers and hugs.

0:01:51 > 0:01:53People have complained because they say it makes light

0:01:53 > 0:02:03of real protests across America.

0:02:08 > 0:02:09Pepsi have apologised - saying they "clearly

0:02:09 > 0:02:11missed the mark".

0:02:11 > 0:02:13After their shock weekend defeat to Crystal Palace,

0:02:13 > 0:02:16Premier League leaders Chelsea are back on track in the title race.

0:02:16 > 0:02:18They held off Manchester City with a 2-1 win last night.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21Eden Hazard gave Chelsea the early lead before Sergio Aguero equalised

0:02:21 > 0:02:22for City with this goal.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24But Chelsea were back in front before half-time,

0:02:24 > 0:02:25thanks again to Eden Hazard.

0:02:25 > 0:02:28You know, it is always difficult to play against Man City.

0:02:28 > 0:02:30When they start to play, you need to defend well.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34And we did.

0:02:34 > 0:02:37We scored two goals, enough today, so we are very

0:02:37 > 0:02:41happy to stay top of the league with seven points.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43Seven points behind Chelsea are Tottenham,

0:02:43 > 0:02:45who made an incredible comeback against Swansea.

0:02:45 > 0:02:49Get this, they went from being 1-0 down in the 88th minute,

0:02:49 > 0:02:51to scoring three goals by full-time, including this one

0:02:51 > 0:02:53from Christian Eriksen.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56Well, if you're not a fan of that type of sport,

0:02:56 > 0:03:00maybe you'd like to give this a try.

0:03:00 > 0:03:02Thousands of students have been taking part in an eSports

0:03:02 > 0:03:04competition in London and our new reporter

0:03:04 > 0:03:09Whitney, went to meet them.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11On sports day, you run 100 metres, you try your best at the egg and

0:03:17 > 0:03:19spoon race, or hit the rounders ball as far as possible.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21But should your school have an eSports team?

0:03:21 > 0:03:23I'm here at eSports tournament in London

0:03:23 > 0:03:26where some schools have just that.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29This is team R3, who have got through to the final.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31How different, Jonathan, is this compared to

0:03:31 > 0:03:31football or tennis?

0:03:31 > 0:03:34It's very different because we're in cars.

0:03:34 > 0:03:39And they're are obviously knocking the ball around.

0:03:39 > 0:03:42It's quite fun to play, not having lessons and normal stuff to do.

0:03:42 > 0:03:43Communication is key, obviously.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45I have seen you guys play.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47All chanting each other, how do you motivate each other?

0:03:47 > 0:03:50Saying, let's hope we don't lose this game.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52Do you think eSports should be included in

0:03:52 > 0:03:53school sports day?

0:03:53 > 0:03:57Yeah, I think it's quite good because people that

0:03:57 > 0:04:00can't run or are not good at it can be good computer games.

0:04:00 > 0:04:02Yeah, I was bad at every single sport, including swimming.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05I was the worst.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07I'm sat here with a professional eSports player.

0:04:07 > 0:04:08Doomsy, also known as Ryan.

0:04:08 > 0:04:10Which one are we going for today?

0:04:10 > 0:04:14Doomsy.

0:04:14 > 0:04:16Doomsy, all right.

0:04:16 > 0:04:17Do you think eSports should be included in

0:04:17 > 0:04:20school sports day?

0:04:20 > 0:04:22I think that would be quite fun.

0:04:22 > 0:04:24I think keep having as much of a variety of

0:04:24 > 0:04:26events as possible, I think it's always a good idea.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29In sports and in eSports your mental game is

0:04:29 > 0:04:32extremely important.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35So you have to be on top form, you have do

0:04:35 > 0:04:38make sure you're eating right and you're healthy and I think

0:04:38 > 0:04:39that is what is similar.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41Is literally just the physical aspect that is

0:04:41 > 0:04:42different.

0:04:42 > 0:04:43I am going.

0:04:43 > 0:04:45Right, I don't know how to play this.

0:04:45 > 0:04:48I think this needs to be left to the professionals because I have

0:04:48 > 0:04:49no idea what am doing.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52That's all from me, we're back in half an hour -

0:04:52 > 0:04:55when I'll have news about plans for one spacecraft's spectacular end

0:04:55 > 0:04:55to its mission on Saturn.

0:05:05 > 0:05:06It's Thursday, welcome to CBBC HQ,
