0:00:05 > 0:00:07Hello, I'm Ayshah with Newsround on Monday morning.

0:00:07 > 0:00:09Here's a taste of what's coming up today:

0:00:09 > 0:00:12We start your build up to the biggest footie

0:00:12 > 0:00:13tournament this summer and...

0:00:13 > 0:00:14Ready? Set? Throw!

0:00:14 > 0:00:20The custard pie competition making a huge mess in Kent.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31Have you ever wondered what it takes to launch a rocket into space?

0:00:31 > 0:00:34Jenny's been to meet school teams from around the UK who've been

0:00:34 > 0:00:39finding out just that, in a cosmic competition.

0:00:39 > 0:00:43Three, two, one, zero.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45A huge rocket heading into space with astronauts

0:00:45 > 0:00:48inside, but how do engineers make it happen?

0:00:48 > 0:00:52These students have been learning to make their own mini-rockets

0:00:52 > 0:00:57with some expert help and there is only a little time left

0:00:57 > 0:00:58before the big launch.

0:00:58 > 0:01:0034 school teams from across the country have

0:01:00 > 0:01:02been taking part in the UK Rocketry Challenge

0:01:02 > 0:01:04and today, it's the finals.

0:01:04 > 0:01:06Teams have to build, launch and land a rocket safely.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09It's got to get high enough in the air and

0:01:09 > 0:01:11keep flying for long enough and all the time

0:01:11 > 0:01:16keeping its contents, two raw eggs, safe and secure.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19I'm really nervous but I'm really excited at the same time.

0:01:19 > 0:01:22Probably the most fun bit for me would be when you get

0:01:22 > 0:01:23to launch a rocket.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25We have already been to the regional finals

0:01:25 > 0:01:27and launched our rocket and it came fourth.

0:01:27 > 0:01:29We've built it, made it better and hopefully

0:01:29 > 0:01:30it flies better today.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32But safety is top of the agenda.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35You don't launch when there are people around, cars around,

0:01:35 > 0:01:40aeroplanes around or animals around because you can scare animals.

0:01:40 > 0:01:44It has to be done responsibly and with adults.

0:01:44 > 0:01:44The rockets are ready.

0:01:44 > 0:01:46It's almost time for lift off.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50Three, two, one...

0:01:55 > 0:01:56That was awesome.

0:01:56 > 0:01:57So cool.

0:01:57 > 0:01:58It was actually really good.

0:01:58 > 0:02:00We expected it just to fall.

0:02:00 > 0:02:02I'm really happy the parachute came out,

0:02:02 > 0:02:04otherwise it would have just crashed.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06The winners will now be heading to Farnborough Airshow

0:02:06 > 0:02:12in July to compete against teams from around the world.

0:02:12 > 0:02:13The day is almost upon us.

0:02:13 > 0:02:16Euro 2016 kicks off in just four days' time.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30This is the 15th edition of the European Championship,

0:02:30 > 0:02:33formerly known as the European Nations Cup,

0:02:40 > 0:02:42France are the host nation for the third time

0:02:42 > 0:02:44after 1960 and 1984.

0:02:48 > 0:02:52Five countries are making their European Championship debuts -

0:03:07 > 0:03:11and Greece have all won it once.

0:03:11 > 0:03:16The winners will qualify for the 2017 Confederations Cup.

0:03:16 > 0:03:18Germany and Russia have already qualified so if they win,

0:03:18 > 0:03:23then the runners up will qualify instead.

0:03:23 > 0:03:27Let the kick-off began.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Wales played their final friendly warm-up game

0:03:37 > 0:03:44but manager Chris Coleman is staying positive.

0:03:44 > 0:03:46We knew we were up against good opposition.

0:03:46 > 0:03:48But I think we are a bit disappointed,

0:03:48 > 0:03:51certainly, to concede three goals in the manner in which we did that.

0:03:51 > 0:03:52That was disappointing, you know.

0:03:52 > 0:03:57But I rather that happen now than when we get there next week.

0:04:10 > 0:04:14years to hold all four of the big tennis titles,

0:04:14 > 0:04:18called Grand Slams, at once.

0:04:18 > 0:04:21Athletics now, and a brand new British record in the 3,000

0:04:21 > 0:04:23metres for double Olympic champ Mo Farah.
