:00:16. > :00:17.First, Hurricane Matthew is continuing to move over

:00:18. > :00:21.In Haiti, rescue teams are trying to reach

:00:22. > :00:25.parts of the country that have been cut off.

:00:26. > :00:27.This is just some of the destruction that Hurricane Matthew has

:00:28. > :00:34.Homes have been swamped by heavy rain and destroyed

:00:35. > :00:42.This shanty dwelling only just managed to survive

:00:43. > :00:50.But here, just a few yards away in what now looks like wasteland,

:00:51. > :00:53.the homes of four families were washed away as the floodwaters

:00:54. > :00:59.At least ten people have died in Haiti since the hurricane

:01:00. > :01:05.Thousands have had to leave their homes.

:01:06. > :01:07.All this comes just six years after a massive

:01:08. > :01:15.TRANSLATION: The children have just started school

:01:16. > :01:18.and then their uniforms were washed away.

:01:19. > :01:20.These children were evacuated from coastal areas

:01:21. > :01:27.Yesterday hurricane Matthew hit Key West.

:01:28. > :01:29.And it is now swirling towards the Bahamas

:01:30. > :01:32.and the US states of Florida and South Carolina.

:01:33. > :01:36.Thousands of people are already fleeing coastal areas

:01:37. > :01:40.there before the storm hits over the next few days.

:01:41. > :01:42.But how did the storm become so strong?

:01:43. > :01:44.Here's BBC weather presenter Simon King to explain

:01:45. > :01:51.The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November.

:01:52. > :01:53.So in October it's no surprise to see a big hurricane

:01:54. > :02:05.In the last few days we have had some warm waters in the Caribbean

:02:06. > :02:08.with temperatures 28, 29 degrees, the same as your swimming pool.

:02:09. > :02:10.That fuels up the hurricanes, makes it a major hurricane,

:02:11. > :02:12.hitting Haiti and Cuba over the last few days.

:02:13. > :02:14.Over the next few days it is going to hit

:02:15. > :02:16.the Bahamas before moving further northward on Saturday.

:02:17. > :02:19.If it makes landfall in Florida as a major hurricane

:02:20. > :02:21.it'll be the first in over a decade,

:02:22. > :02:26.Onto footy and Wales play Austria tonight

:02:27. > :02:29.in their second World Cup qualifier.

:02:30. > :02:36.And it's already getting a little feisty off the pitch.

:02:37. > :02:40.Austria were knocked out in the Group Stages of the Euros

:02:41. > :02:43.in the summer but Wales, of course, reached the semi-finals.

:02:44. > :02:46.Now, Austria's head coach has said Wales were lucky to get that far!

:02:47. > :02:48.So what does Wales boss Chris Coleman have to say?

:02:49. > :02:53.I wouldn't put that semifinal achievement down to luck.

:02:54. > :02:56.You can get lucky over the space of 90 minutes sometimes

:02:57. > :02:58.but you don't achieve that by being lucky.

:03:06. > :03:08.but the reason for our achievements is because we're a good team.

:03:35. > :03:41.Now to the man who's the champion of running a lot of marathons.

:03:42. > :03:48.completed his 401st marathonin 401 days.

:03:49. > :03:51.He set himself the challenge to raise money for anti-bullying

:03:52. > :03:54.charities, because he was targeted for being gay.

:03:55. > :03:57.Hundreds of supporters cheered him across the finish line in Bristol.

:03:58. > :04:20.Ben Smith raised quarter of ?1 million. Ricky has been finding out

:04:21. > :04:22.what went into the marathon challenge.

:04:23. > :04:27.one marathon equals just around 26 miles

:04:28. > :04:36.So Ben Smith has run a total of 10,513 miles!

:04:37. > :04:39.That's more than the distance between the UK and Australia.

:04:40. > :04:41.Ben's been running to raise money

:04:42. > :04:49.He says he was picked on when he was younger.

:04:50. > :04:51.During his mammouth marathon he's visited

:04:52. > :04:55.And popped into 101 schools along the way.

:04:56. > :04:58.But it has been really tough.

:04:59. > :05:07.He started on the 1st of September 2015.

:05:08. > :05:09.After 284 days he had to stop for more than a week

:05:10. > :05:18.for lost time and now he has completed his challenge!

:05:19. > :05:24.Now Ben's left many footprints around the country but this one

:05:25. > :05:29.It was found in the Gobi Desert in Asia

:05:30. > :05:32.Scientists reckon it belonged to a Titanosaur

:05:33. > :05:37.and believe it's around 70 million years old.

:05:38. > :05:40.And finally, a dramatic rescue for this cheeky kitten that got

:05:41. > :05:44.stuck on the ledge of a 12th floor apartment in Singapore.

:05:45. > :05:47.Animal rescuers came and used a pole

:05:48. > :05:53.to bring the cat back inside to safety,

:05:54. > :05:56.and more people stayed on the ground with a big blanket

:05:57. > :05:59.Luckily the cute kitten was unharmed
