:00:26. > :00:34.Next month history will be made when the first British astronaut,

:00:35. > :00:37.Tim Peake, goes to the International Space Station for a whole

:00:38. > :00:42.six months! Today, Tim gave his final interviews in the UK before he

:00:43. > :00:46.starts his last bit of training. Jenny was there.

:00:47. > :00:50.I'm at the Science Museum in London, where everyone is super excited

:00:51. > :00:53.because Tim Peake is just behind me and giving his last interviews in

:00:54. > :01:06.Everyone is here to meet the man in the room next to me. Tim Peake is

:01:07. > :01:12.giving his last interviews in the UK. The only fear I have is

:01:13. > :01:16.forgetting something. I am in transit between Houston and Russia

:01:17. > :01:23.and I am racking my brain to see if I have forgotten something. I am

:01:24. > :01:25.just frightened of forgetting something. It is a testament to the

:01:26. > :01:27.thousands of people involved. His mission is a massive deal

:01:28. > :01:30.because he'll be the first ever UK astronaut to live and work

:01:31. > :01:46.at the ISS and the first British Once there, Ken will be carrying out

:01:47. > :01:53.experiments, testing out new technologies. But a big part of his

:01:54. > :02:00.mission is to get you guys excited about science and space. I'm

:02:01. > :02:02.excited. It is his first mission. I thought it was really fascinating to

:02:03. > :02:10.see a real astronaut going into space. When they eat food,

:02:11. > :02:13.everything is just flying around. You mac would like to go into space.

:02:14. > :02:17.It is a beautiful and amazing place. He leaves on the 15th of December,

:02:18. > :02:31.but before that, he'll head to the He has been in an intense training

:02:32. > :02:34.programme to become an astronaut. They are looking at all the

:02:35. > :02:38.experiments he will do on the space station. He will do on the space

:02:39. > :02:44.station. He'll is practising for those. They put him in quarantine.

:02:45. > :02:48.They cut him off from everyone else before he goes to the space

:02:49. > :02:50.station. So you keep the space station pure and there is no one to

:02:51. > :02:52.snotty out there. And I'll be joining Tim in Moscow

:02:53. > :02:56.in Russia next week for Newsround. I want

:02:57. > :02:58.your questions to take with me. So head over to the Newsround

:02:59. > :03:00.website to send me It's been more than a year

:03:01. > :03:05.since the first clinic was set up in West Africa to help people suffering

:03:06. > :03:09.from the deadly virus called Ebola. Lots of countries

:03:10. > :03:11.and charities have been working to Now one of the worst affected

:03:12. > :03:16.countries, called Sierra Leone, The BBC's Anna Foster

:03:17. > :03:24.sent us this report. From October 2013, the worst

:03:25. > :03:27.outbreak of Ebola in history infected more than 28,000 people

:03:28. > :03:32.across Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea Thousands of people lost their lives

:03:33. > :03:41.and many more became very ill. Children have been unable to go to

:03:42. > :03:45.school, to stop the virus spreading further, and many have lost parents,

:03:46. > :03:50.relatives and friends. Medical teams from around

:03:51. > :03:53.the world have been working hard to On Saturday,

:03:54. > :04:00.it'll be six weeks since anybody And that will mean that the outbreak

:04:01. > :04:06.here in Sierra Leone is over. And the important thing

:04:07. > :04:10.for the children at school is to make sure that they still do things

:04:11. > :04:13.like wash their hands So what does an Ebola-free country

:04:14. > :04:36.mean to the children living here? I feel good because I can go back to

:04:37. > :04:41.school and now I am feeling good. I am back to school. I am really

:04:42. > :04:43.excited. It will be business as normal.

:04:44. > :04:46.It's a huge moment for the country, which has suffered so much over

:04:47. > :04:50.But although this marks the end of one battle, it will be a long

:04:51. > :04:57.time before people in Sierra Leone can recover from what's happened.

:04:58. > :05:03.That's all from me and Newsround for today.
