:00:00. > :00:00.take on Swansea, who have recently sacked their manager, Brian Laudrup

:00:00. > :00:08.last week. Join others for a special when I go to one of the best youth

:00:09. > :00:10.football academies in the world. Morning, Ayshah here with Friday's

:00:11. > :00:13.top stories. Coming up: Flood defences breached

:00:14. > :00:21.in Somerset. And, get ready for slopes, skating and snowboards. This

:00:22. > :00:25.is Newsround. First up, the seaside resort of

:00:26. > :00:29.Sochi in Russia is putting together the final preparations ahead of the

:00:30. > :00:33.Opening Ceremony of the 22nd Winter Games which takes place this

:00:34. > :00:36.afternoon. There will be 98 gold medals won over 16 days of

:00:37. > :00:42.competition, with 2,871 athletes from 87 National Olympic Committees

:00:43. > :00:47.competing. Speed skater, Jon Eley, will fly the flag for Britain during

:00:48. > :00:51.the opening ceremony which starts at 4:15pm our time. The Games haven't

:00:52. > :00:54.come cheap though, costing a mighty ?30 billion - more than the combined

:00:55. > :01:00.total of all other Olympic Winter Games that have ever been held. Some

:01:01. > :01:02.of the competition got underway yesterday - Jamie Nicholls

:01:03. > :01:12.qualifying for the final in the snowboarding Slopestyle with this

:01:13. > :01:19.jump. We have gone Winter Olympics crazy on the website. Look at the

:01:20. > :01:25.ultimate guide to Sochi and find out who could be getting a medal and we

:01:26. > :01:26.will tell you the five Winter Olympic sports you cannot afford to

:01:27. > :01:28.miss. Next, the bad weather has led to

:01:29. > :01:31.police asking everyone living in the village of Moorland, in Somerset, to

:01:32. > :01:35.evacuate, after flood defences were overcome. Royal Marines have been

:01:36. > :01:38.drafted in for the first time to help with the evacuation and protect

:01:39. > :01:50.properties after another night of heavy rain. Later today, winds of up

:01:51. > :01:52.to 70 miles an hour forecast and there is more wet weather due at the

:01:53. > :01:55.weekend. If you were watching Newsround

:01:56. > :01:58.yesterday, you'll have seen our story about the Prime Minister

:01:59. > :02:01.promising all primary schools in England around ?9,000 each to spend

:02:02. > :02:05.on sport every year until 2020. David Cameron wants to build on the

:02:06. > :02:08.legacy of London 2012. But there has been some criticism over how the

:02:09. > :02:13.government deals with sport in schools. You sent in some questions

:02:14. > :02:26.for us to ask the PM and Martin put some of them to him.

:02:27. > :02:32.If you want to change sport in schools and increase it in schools,

:02:33. > :02:41.it is right to start with primary schools because you are starting

:02:42. > :02:45.with children at an early age. All schools need sport so it makes

:02:46. > :02:50.sense to give this money to all schools. The bigger schools get

:02:51. > :02:57.slightly more and the smaller schools get less. But typically a

:02:58. > :03:03.250 pupil primary school will get ?9,250 a year. I went to a

:03:04. > :03:08.mainstream school in Glasgow and whenever he was on I got sent to the

:03:09. > :03:14.library, how can you make sure that does not happen now? This programme

:03:15. > :03:18.of sport should be for all children, those with disabilities and those

:03:19. > :03:22.without. That is why the money matters because sometimes you do

:03:23. > :03:25.need specialist teachers and people with expertise who know how to

:03:26. > :03:27.involve disabled children in sporting activities.

:03:28. > :03:31.Thanks Martin, well the opposition Labour Party say this extra money is

:03:32. > :03:35.a good idea but think the Government were wrong to get rid of one of

:03:36. > :03:38.their plans to make all primary school children in England do two

:03:39. > :03:42.hours of sport a week. And one of the biggest teaching unions the NUT

:03:43. > :03:45.is welcoming the extra money but says given that many primary schools

:03:46. > :03:54.don't have dedicated PE teachers it doesn't add up to a great deal.

:03:55. > :03:57.Hundreds of people in Brazil have clashed with police during a protest

:03:58. > :04:06.about increased fares for public transport. Police were caught up in

:04:07. > :04:09.the demonstrations and riots police that two fire tear gas. Last year

:04:10. > :04:13.thousands of people filled the streets in Brazil to protest about

:04:14. > :04:24.the cost of living and what they see as money wasted on the World Cup. .

:04:25. > :04:30.Bad news for Manchester United fans this morning. Your captain, Nemanja

:04:31. > :04:34.Vidic, has announced that he's leaving the club at the end of the

:04:35. > :04:37.season. The defender won't be staying in England and has told the

:04:38. > :04:39.club that United are the only team in the Premier League he'll play

:04:40. > :04:43.for. That's all for now but I'll leave

:04:44. > :04:46.you with just a little taste of what you can look forward to seeing in

:04:47. > :04:52.the next few weeks.
