:00:33. > :00:35.dogs and penguins are even closer than that.

:00:36. > :00:38.Some specially trained Maremma dogs have the job of protecting local

:00:39. > :00:52.These guys have a very important job to do. They protect the Penguins.

:00:53. > :00:56.They are called little penguins and are the smallest in the world. Foxes

:00:57. > :00:59.have been attacking the colony, living on the middle Island in

:01:00. > :01:04.Australia for years. The problem became so bad in 2006 that there

:01:05. > :01:10.were only ten penguins left. Then a local chicken farmer came up with an

:01:11. > :01:14.idea to use his Maremma dogs that protect his chickens to protect the

:01:15. > :01:19.Penguins. The thin story is that the Penguins are just chickens in dinner

:01:20. > :01:28.suits. So we have trained them to take care of the Penguins. The two

:01:29. > :01:32.dogs started work. Over the last ten years, they have done a fantastic

:01:33. > :01:36.job. Penguin numbers on the island are now more than 180 but lately

:01:37. > :01:40.they have been getting too old for fox chasing, so now there are new

:01:41. > :01:43.recruits. It will take a lot of training to get him up to speed, but

:02:10. > :02:14.historically been strong in this sport. They have struggled a little

:02:15. > :02:19.bit in the last years but they have got back to their very best. We have

:02:35. > :02:39.the first time in many years. It is going to be a fantastic few months

:02:40. > :02:44.leading up to the Olympic Games in real. We are keeping our fingers

:02:45. > :02:48.crossed that Great Britain will dominate, as they have done in the

:02:49. > :02:56.last two Olympic Games. Hopefully this will inspire you to get out on

:03:08. > :03:09.you whether you think Dasha, who's 12 and from

:03:10. > :03:21.London agrees. Nine year-old Jamie from Methley

:03:22. > :03:23.doesn't think the foxes have got It sounds like an idea

:03:24. > :03:32.from the distant future, but driverless lorries could be

:03:33. > :03:35.making an appearance on our roads The government is expected to agree

:03:36. > :03:41.plans for testing the new The vehicles would use cameras

:03:42. > :03:45.and radars to help them avoid other road users and a human driver

:03:46. > :03:48.would be present too. A similar scheme has already
