:00:00. > :00:07.Good morning! You're watching Newsround live this Wednesday
:00:08. > :00:11.morning. I'm Ricky, with a packed show on the way. Coming up... We
:00:12. > :00:21.meet the 95-year-old athlete who just can't stop winning gold. And it
:00:22. > :00:24.is a huge day for cycling fans, as we get ready for the brand-new
:00:25. > :00:29.women's race. And the cute cubs learning to swim. This is Newsround.
:00:30. > :00:32.First - excitement is building ahead of a really exciting new sporting
:00:33. > :00:35.event which kicks off in Britain this morning. Cycling fans around
:00:36. > :00:39.the country are looking forward to the first ever Women's Tour of
:00:40. > :00:42.Britain. It's five stages across five days, and some of Britain's
:00:43. > :00:46.best cyclists like Laura Trott and Dani King will be taking part. The
:00:47. > :00:52.racing starts later through the streets of Northampton. Earlier, we
:00:53. > :01:00.spoke to the BBC's Nick Hope, who is there. This is a huge day for one
:01:01. > :01:06.insert cycling. I am here at the team hotel. The riders are getting
:01:07. > :01:10.very excited. Some of the best 100 riders in the world will be
:01:11. > :01:14.competing in a chance for them to prove that women's races are just as
:01:15. > :01:23.exciting as the men's. Dani King won gold at London 2012. She explains
:01:24. > :01:26.why the Women's Tour is so exciting. It is a massive day, it is
:01:27. > :01:30.phenomenal that we can have such a massive race in this country for
:01:31. > :01:34.women. I am really excited about it. It is so good to see so much
:01:35. > :01:36.coverage of women's bicycle racing, and that is what has made the
:01:37. > :01:41.difference. Next - it's been on a mega-tour of
:01:42. > :01:45.Commonwealth countries round the world, and now the Queen's baton
:01:46. > :01:48.will be met by Tom Daley when it arrives back on British soil on
:01:49. > :01:51.Sunday. Jersey in the Channel Islands will be the baton's first
:01:52. > :01:54.home nation stop after a 288-day journey through the Commonwealth,
:01:55. > :01:56.ahead of the Glasgow Games. The hand-crafted baton contains a
:01:57. > :01:59.personal message from the Queen calling the athletes of the
:02:00. > :02:02.Commonwealth to Glasgow for the start of the Games.
:02:03. > :02:07.Next, you don't see many Premier League footballers tearing around
:02:08. > :02:10.the pitch past the age of 35. Swimmers tend to stop racing in
:02:11. > :02:14.their 20s, and gymnasts peak in their teens. But age is definitely
:02:15. > :02:18.no barrier for this next sporting legend. At 95, Olga Kotelko has 750
:02:19. > :02:24.gold medals in track and field events. And the Canadian golden girl
:02:25. > :02:33.shows no signs of stopping. Nel has this one.
:02:34. > :02:46.This is Olga Kotelko. I have over 750 gold medals, and in my last age
:02:47. > :02:52.group, which was 90-94, I made 26 world records. The 95-year-old only
:02:53. > :02:57.took up athletics at the age of 77. Now she holds every track and field
:02:58. > :03:02.world record for her age group in the 100 metres, the 200 metres, the
:03:03. > :03:10.high jump and the long jump, and that is not all. Shot put, discus,
:03:11. > :03:17.javelin, hammer and weight. What makes her such a champ? Muscles get
:03:18. > :03:22.weaker with age, especially after the age of 60. But scientists found
:03:23. > :03:26.that her muscle fibres were much stronger than those of an average
:03:27. > :03:35.95-year-old. But it is not just biology. You are aspiring to do
:03:36. > :03:41.better, that is how you grow. And Olga has no plans to retire. I just
:03:42. > :03:45.want to keep on going, and I will keep on going until I drop.
:03:46. > :03:48.You've been on the Newsround website this morning telling us about your
:03:49. > :04:03.amazing sporting grandparents. Dan in Leicester says...
:04:04. > :04:09.17-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer is celebrating the arrival
:04:10. > :04:18.of another set of twins! The tennis star tweeted...
:04:19. > :04:23.Roger Federer pulled out of this week's Madrid Masters tournement to
:04:24. > :04:35.be with his family. The pair already have twin girls. Next - we all know
:04:36. > :04:41.that cats aren't massive fans of water. But these four little African
:04:42. > :04:44.lion cubs looked like they were having a fun time splashing around
:04:45. > :04:48.at their zoo in Washington in America. It's zoo rules that all
:04:49. > :04:51.lions, tigers and other big cats learn to swim to keep them safe when
:04:52. > :04:56.they're just weeks old. The four paddled and swam like true experts!
:04:57. > :04:59.Have a great day. Bye-bye.
