0:00:12 > 0:00:13Good afternoon!

0:00:13 > 0:00:18I'm Jenny, live with all the top stories this Sunday.

0:00:20 > 0:00:23The Olympics have only just got underway and Great Britain

0:00:23 > 0:00:25already has a new world record in the swimming pool.

0:00:25 > 0:00:26But there's also been disappointment,

0:00:26 > 0:00:28as some of Team GB's brightest medal hopes

0:00:28 > 0:00:30failed in their bid for Olympic glory.

0:00:30 > 0:00:32Here's Ricky's round-up of the action so far.

0:00:32 > 0:00:33Hello from Rio, Ricky here.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35Day one is done and it has certainly thrown

0:00:35 > 0:00:36up a few surprises.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39It's been really hot today here in the Olympic Park,

0:00:39 > 0:00:40temperatures have reached more than 30 degrees.

0:00:40 > 0:00:41It is so hot!

0:00:41 > 0:00:44But that's enough about that, let's talk about the sport.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47In the aquatic stadium, Adam Peaty,

0:00:47 > 0:00:51who is only 21 years old, broke a world record.

0:00:51 > 0:00:52Yep, he swam his heart out

0:00:52 > 0:00:54in the men's 100 metres breaststroke.

0:00:54 > 0:00:58He's now qualified for the final.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to move on a bit more.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03I feel there is something more in the tank

0:01:03 > 0:01:04but I want to save myself for that

0:01:04 > 0:01:07and hopefully, you know, get that investment of all that work

0:01:07 > 0:01:09I have done these past seven years.

0:01:09 > 0:01:10So many people congratulating me there.

0:01:10 > 0:01:13It is crazy and that is what it's all about, the Olympic experience.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16Adam's roommate here in Rio, James Guy, didn't pick up

0:01:16 > 0:01:18a medal in the 400 metres freestyle.

0:01:18 > 0:01:21Hannah Miley missed out on a medal

0:01:21 > 0:01:26in the women's individual 400 metres medley.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29There was some disappointment for Team GB in the cycling

0:01:29 > 0:01:31as Chris Froome, who only recently won the Tour de France,

0:01:31 > 0:01:34was unable to pick up a medal here in Rio.

0:01:34 > 0:01:38And in judo, Team GB's Ashley McKenzie fought back

0:01:38 > 0:01:42the tears as he narrowly lost by a single point.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45Now, what I love about the Olympics is that it always throws up

0:01:45 > 0:01:46some amazing stories.

0:01:46 > 0:01:48Vietnam have never won a gold medal before,

0:01:48 > 0:01:50but that has all changed.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53On Saturday, they won their first ever gold so imagine

0:01:53 > 0:01:56how they are celebrating in Vietnam right now.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59Plenty more drama to look forward to.

0:01:59 > 0:02:01We've got fencing, hockey, and even more swimming

0:02:01 > 0:02:03as the Olympics continue.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05Brazil! Brazil! Brazil!

0:02:05 > 0:02:08And we've been asking what you'll be watching -

0:02:08 > 0:02:09Callum's looking forward to the sprinting.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11Holly will be watching the high jump,

0:02:11 > 0:02:13as it's her favourite sport -

0:02:13 > 0:02:18she says she gets surprised how high the athletes can jump.

0:02:18 > 0:02:20To world's longest aircraft now.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22The mighty Airlander has been wheeled out of its hangar,

0:02:22 > 0:02:25in preparation for its first ever flight,

0:02:25 > 0:02:27following some tests to check everything is working OK.

0:02:27 > 0:02:28Here's everything you need to know.

0:02:28 > 0:02:30Part plane, part airship, part helicopter.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34This is the world's longest flying machine.

0:02:34 > 0:02:36It has a giant helium gas-filled balloon,

0:02:36 > 0:02:40with a special shape to help it fly.

0:02:40 > 0:02:43The team behind it boast it can stay in the air for three weeks

0:02:43 > 0:02:49and it could potentially carry hundreds of people.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52I want to get on this thing and fly pole to pole,

0:02:52 > 0:02:54and we will fly over the Amazon at 20 feet.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57We will fly over, you know, the world's greatest cities.

0:02:57 > 0:02:59We'll show the whole world, live on the Internet,

0:02:59 > 0:03:01exactly how beautiful this planet is.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04They also say it could do a lot of practical good.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06Its size and the fact it can land pretty much anywhere

0:03:06 > 0:03:09means that it could be used to deliver vital aid

0:03:09 > 0:03:13to areas hit by natural disasters.

0:03:13 > 0:03:14Just how big is it?

0:03:14 > 0:03:16It's 92 metres long -

0:03:16 > 0:03:19that's almost 20 metres longer than the biggest airliner.

0:03:19 > 0:03:25It's equal to nine double-decker buses lined up.

0:03:25 > 0:03:29Its first flight date hasn't been announced yet, so watch this space.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34Day trips to the museum are one of the most popular things to do

0:03:34 > 0:03:36during the summer holidays, and it's usually free,

0:03:36 > 0:03:38but now the famous Science Museum in London,

0:03:38 > 0:03:41says it's planning to charge money to go to one of its exhibits.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44Leah has this one.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47It's free to come here to see most things.

0:03:47 > 0:03:49But the Museum are giving

0:03:49 > 0:03:54one of the most popular interactive exhibitions a makeover.

0:03:54 > 0:03:57They say they will be charging people to come and visit it

0:03:57 > 0:04:00when it opens in October.

0:04:00 > 0:04:04National museums in England, Wales and Scotland are free to visit,

0:04:04 > 0:04:08but they can still charge for some special displays.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11What do kids here think about the new charge?

0:04:11 > 0:04:15Because folk are on tight budgets,

0:04:15 > 0:04:17they won't be able to experience everything.

0:04:17 > 0:04:19They need the money to keep the museum going.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21If it's really good, you feel good about it

0:04:21 > 0:04:23and you feel like you paid good money.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26If it's really bad, you feel like they've kind of ripped you off.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29If they didn't, they wouldn't have enough money like they do now,

0:04:29 > 0:04:31and they wouldn't be able to improve the museum.

0:04:31 > 0:04:35I don't think that's very fair that some parents have to fork out,

0:04:35 > 0:04:37and some parents can't.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41The new exhibit, Wonderlab, is being built at the moment.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44I spoke to Natalie, who's in charge of it.

0:04:44 > 0:04:48Why did you feel you couldn't make an example and not charge families?

0:04:48 > 0:04:51Why didn't you say, "Look, we've got this to show off,

0:04:51 > 0:04:52it's great, and everyone can come"?

0:04:52 > 0:04:55It costs a lot of money to run an interactive gallery like this,

0:04:55 > 0:04:59and the money on the ticket charge will go to running that gallery.

0:04:59 > 0:05:01Have you feel about those families that are saying,

0:05:01 > 0:05:02"I can't afford it, simply"?

0:05:02 > 0:05:04We will be having these initiatives

0:05:04 > 0:05:06to get those families to come to this gallery,

0:05:06 > 0:05:09if they find that ticket charge a barrier.

0:05:09 > 0:05:11The new exhibition has cost the Science Museum

0:05:11 > 0:05:14more than ?6 million to complete.

0:05:14 > 0:05:17But, when it opens in just two months, it will be the visitors

0:05:17 > 0:05:24who will judge whether it's worth paying for.

0:05:24 > 0:05:26Next are you watching Robot Wars?

0:05:26 > 0:05:28Newsround met the nine-year-old taking her fearsome machine,

0:05:28 > 0:05:31called Glitterbomb, into battle.

0:05:31 > 0:05:33It's on TV later today.

0:05:33 > 0:05:37She told Ayshah why she thinks more girls should get involved.

0:05:37 > 0:05:38Robots can let us do amazing things

0:05:38 > 0:05:40that we wouldn't normally be able to do,

0:05:40 > 0:05:43like go to Mars, go to see the Titanic,

0:05:43 > 0:05:46and make little girls like me make big old men cry.

0:05:46 > 0:05:48Brilliant!

0:05:48 > 0:05:50Everyone thinks it's all about the boys,

0:05:50 > 0:05:53but we need girls in this as well,

0:05:53 > 0:05:57and girls need to bring lots of sparkle into this.

0:05:57 > 0:06:01That's all from the team today,

0:06:01 > 0:06:04but Newsround's back bright and early tomorrow morning at 7:40am.

0:06:04 > 0:06:05Have a brilliant evening.
