0:01:19 > 0:01:24My aim was to run 60 something but I did not know I was going to run that

0:01:24 > 0:01:27fast, and it was great to finish the season with a win

0:01:27 > 0:01:31and a good time and I can take my break and relax now.

0:01:31 > 0:01:37The half-marathon race takes

0:01:37 > 0:01:52place each year in Newcastle and Gateshead.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55Nearly 60,000 runners are running the 13.1 mile course today,

0:01:55 > 0:01:57many of them raising lots of money for charities.

0:01:57 > 0:02:00And this year the race will see the millionth runner in its 34 year

0:02:00 > 0:02:08history, cross the finish line.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10Let me introduce you to Hose.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13He's wowing audiences across South America with his amazing jazz music,

0:02:13 > 0:02:19but's he's only nine and he's blind.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22He may not look like your typical rock star

0:02:22 > 0:02:26but he is a rising star but only in his playground but in the whole

0:02:26 > 0:02:29of Bolivia in South America.

0:02:29 > 0:02:33He started to play music when he was four and by the time he was five he

0:02:33 > 0:02:36had formed his own jazz band.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38Now he regularly performs to audiences of thousands of people

0:02:38 > 0:02:38and more.

0:02:38 > 0:02:43I have already been to Brazil and to Lima.

0:02:43 > 0:02:47I am also playing in other places such as La Paz and Santa Cruz.

0:02:47 > 0:02:52I already famous because I travel a lot.

0:02:52 > 0:03:00Many people say he has got more musical talent than other musicians

0:03:00 > 0:03:03three times his age and last week he impressed audiences

0:03:03 > 0:03:05at a big music festival.

0:03:05 > 0:03:09The fact that he is blind only makes his playing more impressive.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11And he hopes to take his talents further field

0:03:11 > 0:03:18for the rest of the world to see.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21Formula One now and Britain's Lewis Hamilton started in pole position in

0:03:21 > 0:03:23the Italian Grand Prix, which sees the massive rivalry continue with

0:03:23 > 0:03:25his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.

0:03:25 > 0:03:29But he got off to a terrible start, and dropped to fourth place

0:03:29 > 0:03:31by the first corner of the race, with Rosberg taking the lead.

0:03:31 > 0:03:36So how's he getting on now?

0:04:27 > 0:04:30very driven by challenges and things that frighten me and I

0:04:30 > 0:04:33have been working with snakes and sharks and spiders and mountains

0:04:33 > 0:04:37and things for 15 years now.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39This is something completely new and very very frightening, and for that

0:04:39 > 0:04:41reason I am really excited about it.

0:04:41 > 0:04:49I had my first costume fitting the other day and they got all

0:04:49 > 0:04:53of the shirts and the lycra and sequence and stuff and

0:04:53 > 0:04:57for 15 minutes all I could do when I saw sight of myself in the mirror

0:04:57 > 0:04:59was just a giggle like a schoolboy.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02I would see myself and start chuckling.
