:00:28. > :00:30.Irma is the strongest Hurricane ever to hit land and the wind and rain

:00:31. > :00:37.Lots of people have lost their homes and will need shelter and food.

:00:38. > :00:39.In nearby Florida people are evacuating, in case

:00:40. > :00:47.This week has been a time of celebration for people

:00:48. > :00:53.The Queensferry Crossing has finally opened and some school kids have had

:00:54. > :01:16.The Queensferry Crossing cost ?1.35 million to build. 1.7 miles long.

:01:17. > :01:19.Connecting Edinburgh with Fife, and will carry 24 million vehicles a

:01:20. > :01:23.year. Pretty important bridge. To open this week with a very important

:01:24. > :01:29.guest. The Queen. Celebrations happening all week. 10,000 kids from

:01:30. > :01:37.schools nearby have been invited to be some of the first people to walk

:01:38. > :01:41.across the bridge. I went with them. I am excited about going over the

:01:42. > :01:45.bridge. Looking out your window and seeing the bridge there, thinking I

:01:46. > :01:51.remember what this was like when this bridge was not there. Pretty

:01:52. > :01:57.amazing. My Nan and Papa live on the top of the hill, they have a window.

:01:58. > :02:01.They can watch it being built. They have watched every step of it. Off

:02:02. > :02:10.we go. Just a short drive to the bridge. We are going on the big

:02:11. > :02:18.bridge. Excited?. Seems like it will be so boring. But then it is so

:02:19. > :02:23.exciting. About halfway across the brand-new Queensferry Bridge. As you

:02:24. > :02:30.can see, nice Scottish weather. That does not matter these guys are quite

:02:31. > :02:36.excited. We met the Queen yesterday. It was awesome. What was it like

:02:37. > :02:39.being on the bridge? It was cool, I liked it. Nice to have the

:02:40. > :02:41.experience of the bridge opening now, I'm young, can remember this

:02:42. > :02:45.forever and ever. They were excited. Prince George has been

:02:46. > :02:47.having his first day at school. Here's the Royal four

:02:48. > :02:50.year old arriving at the Thomas's Battersey School

:02:51. > :02:52.in South London. He was dropped off by his

:02:53. > :02:54.Dad, Prince William. But his Mum missed it

:02:55. > :02:57.as she's not very well! Wonder if they made him take

:02:58. > :02:59.the dreaded first-day-at-school It's not just kids in the UK back

:03:00. > :03:04.at school, children around the world Here's one school in Pakistan

:03:05. > :03:19.that's a little different. Kids in Karachi, Pakistan. Getting

:03:20. > :03:26.on with their lessons. This is not a regular kind of school. It has been

:03:27. > :03:32.made right over a flyover, next to some busy roads. It might seem basic

:03:33. > :03:36.and noisy to working. Without it, these kids would not have anywhere

:03:37. > :03:42.else to go to school. That is because while most kids in the UK

:03:43. > :03:47.have lessons, these children used to have to work to earn money, to help

:03:48. > :03:50.their families make ends meet. TRANSLATION: I used to have this

:03:51. > :03:57.week, mock and asked other people's houses. My dad died, my mum said I

:03:58. > :04:03.needed to work. TRANSLATION: At first my mum would not let me come.

:04:04. > :04:08.I said I wanted to study. She said, no, I need to work. Since I learned

:04:09. > :04:12.to read and write my mum is very happy. As well as a free education,

:04:13. > :04:17.pupils get free lunch and school uniform. They get paid to attend. To

:04:18. > :04:22.make up for the money they would have earned if they were working

:04:23. > :04:29.instead. It is hoped schools like this will allow the poorest children

:04:30. > :04:30.in Pakistan to get an education, hopefully getting better jobs when

:04:31. > :04:31.they give up. Just time to show you a few

:04:32. > :04:33.of the craziest Guinness world Meet Cygnus, he's the record

:04:34. > :04:38.holder for the cat with the longest tail -

:04:39. > :04:39.Purrrfect! Here's Benny Harlem,

:04:40. > :04:42.the man with the tallest hair - it takes two hours to brush it,

:04:43. > :04:45.make sure it's looking good Benny! And this is Alistair Moffat breaking

:04:46. > :04:48.the record for driving a car though That's all from me,

:04:49. > :05:01.Newsround's back at 7.20. Woody? What? All the kids are

:05:02. > :05:05.going back to school soon. Good.
