:00:56. > :01:02.Some debris on the roads so drivers are being warned this morning

:01:03. > :01:09.Next, kids in western Australia are going back to school

:01:10. > :01:12.after bushfires struck their communities.

:01:13. > :01:14.We've been hearing from Kane, who explained what happened

:01:15. > :01:23.Hi, my name's Kane and this is a pretty exciting day

:01:24. > :01:28.We're getting these cool packs and so are hundreds of other kids

:01:29. > :01:31.around here, and we're getting it for free.

:01:32. > :01:37.It's kind of a back-to-school boost for all of us kids because for a lot

:01:38. > :01:43.of people here things haven't been so great over the summer.

:01:44. > :01:47.A few months ago, a bushfire broke out in Pinery,

:01:48. > :01:49.South Australia, which is really close to Hamley Bridge,

:01:50. > :01:55.When the fire started, me and my friend were looking

:01:56. > :02:02.When my mum picked us up from school, me and my brother

:02:03. > :02:05.and sister were scared when the smoke came over.

:02:06. > :02:09.We hopped in the car and Mum took us to the Balaclava Recovery Centre.

:02:10. > :02:14.The fire burned 87 homes and around 300 farmsteads.

:02:15. > :02:17.But our area wasn't the only area to be hit by a big

:02:18. > :02:23.Over in Western Australia, the town of Yarloop was hit

:02:24. > :02:33.Luckily, my school wasn't badly damaged in the fire so now we can go

:02:34. > :02:37.And these packs will really help, especially for those kids

:02:38. > :02:46.I've got snacks, a pencil case, a lunchbox and a watch.

:02:47. > :02:49.Things might not be completely back to normal for me or my friends,

:02:50. > :02:55.but we're staying positive and looking for a better future.

:03:38. > :03:52.The jokes are really funny and it's never been copied by someone,

:03:53. > :03:55.and the pictures are really detailed and very funny.

:03:56. > :03:58.Horrible Histories, Vicious Vikings is by Terry Deary.

:03:59. > :04:06.What happens is it adds a bit of humour to it,

:04:07. > :04:10.which makes it much more interesting to read.

:04:11. > :04:15.The illustrations in the book itself are really funny.

:04:16. > :04:17.James And The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.

:04:18. > :04:22.The way Roald Dahl describes them, when he adds speech,

:04:23. > :04:28.the way they say it and how they say it.

:04:29. > :04:30.Now look at this mess, and don't try this at home!

:04:31. > :04:36.Over 4,000 people threw 500,000 kilograms of damaged oranges
