:00:00. > :00:10.Hi, I'm Jenny with another Newsround update. Coming right up... Who do
:00:11. > :00:14.you want to see on the front cover of your magazines? And... The
:00:15. > :00:15.massive medical breakthrough that could bring hope to people who've
:00:16. > :00:27.been paralysed. But we'll start with Ukraine in
:00:28. > :00:30.Eastern Europe. People there who want closer ties with Russia have
:00:31. > :00:34.taken over government buildings in three big cities in the east of the
:00:35. > :00:37.country. This includes the city of Donetsk, where demonstrators want to
:00:38. > :00:40.break away from Ukraine and are calling for a vote, next month. A
:00:41. > :00:43.few weeks ago, neighbouring country Russia took over Ukraine's southern
:00:44. > :00:47.region of Crimea. Ukraine is a country divided over whether to be
:00:48. > :00:52.closer to Russia or to the European Union, and has been in crisis during
:00:53. > :00:55.recent months. Next to what could be a huge medical breakthrough. Four
:00:56. > :00:59.paralysed men who had been unable to move from the chest down can now
:01:00. > :01:02.move their legs, after a new treatment in America. Special
:01:03. > :01:05.electrical pulses were used to stimulate the men's spinal cords,
:01:06. > :01:08.meaning they were able to move legs, hips, ankles and toes, though
:01:09. > :01:14.they're not yet able to walk on their own. Researchers say it could
:01:15. > :01:22.bring hope to millions of people who've been paralysed. Next, who do
:01:23. > :01:24.you want to see on the front of your favourite magazine? Well, the people
:01:25. > :01:28.behind Britain's longest-running pre-teen mag, Girl Talk, say they're
:01:29. > :01:31.going to start putting new faces on their front cover. The magazine's
:01:32. > :01:34.bosses say they want to show young girls there are plenty of good
:01:35. > :01:42.female role models out there. Take a look at Leah's report... When you
:01:43. > :01:47.flick through your favourite magazines you are probably used to
:01:48. > :01:52.seeing pop stars, dancers and actors on them. But would a magazine with
:01:53. > :01:59.scientists, politicians or sports stars make you think any
:02:00. > :02:04.differently? The magazine found that the majority of its readers aspired
:02:05. > :02:08.to be an actor, dancer or singer, while a quarter of its readers said
:02:09. > :02:12.the most important way for them to be described is pretty. So what are
:02:13. > :02:18.magazine bosses doing to change that? There is no problem with
:02:19. > :02:23.wanting to see pop stars or liking them or looking up to them. Our
:02:24. > :02:27.campaign is really about making sure that girls see other people to look
:02:28. > :02:33.up to. Who can we expect on the magazine? The cover is something we
:02:34. > :02:37.will be working with gently, but we will be having Jess Ennis on the
:02:38. > :02:42.cover in the future. We've never had a sports person on there before. We
:02:43. > :02:46.are also going to be putting inside the magazine lots more sportswomen,
:02:47. > :02:53.politicians, inventors, science specialists, all sorts of people for
:02:54. > :02:57.our readers to learn about. I would love to have Malala Yousafzai on the
:02:58. > :03:01.cover eventually, once our readers know more about her. There are some
:03:02. > :03:06.people who might say if you do go for a sports star, someone like Jess
:03:07. > :03:11.Ennis, she is really pretty. Do you feel you are really pushing the
:03:12. > :03:15.boundaries here or making much of a change? It is really complicated.
:03:16. > :03:20.Pushing the boundaries, I feel with this has to be done quite gently. We
:03:21. > :03:24.can't do a massive, radical change because our readers may be put off.
:03:25. > :03:29.We need to ease in these new ideas gently. But I think it's a really
:03:30. > :03:32.important thing for us to do. We feel very excited about making some
:03:33. > :03:36.positive changes. All this morning you've been telling us what you
:03:37. > :03:39.think about this online. Here's a few of your comments. Maddie wants
:03:40. > :03:42.to see top kids' authors like Jacqueline Wilson or JK Rowling.
:03:43. > :03:46.Anisha thinks David Walliams should be on the front page as he's written
:03:47. > :03:52.books, is a comedian and works on the TV. And Ollie would like sport
:03:53. > :03:57.stars like Victoria Pendleton and Olympic hero Jessica Ennis on the
:03:58. > :04:01.same cover. Thanks so much for all those comments, keep them coming in.
:04:02. > :04:04.Sticking with Olympic heroes, there was great news for British
:04:05. > :04:07.weightlifting star Zoe Smith, who's become only the second woman to win
:04:08. > :04:11.an overall medal in a European competition. Zoe, who's still just
:04:12. > :04:16.nineteen, took bronze at the championships in Israel. It's only
:04:17. > :04:20.her first major international event since the London 2012 Olympics, as
:04:21. > :04:24.she's suffered with a series of injuries since. Football now, and
:04:25. > :04:26.Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is confident his side can make a
:04:27. > :04:32.comeback in their Champions League second leg against Paris St-Germain.
:04:33. > :04:43.They're two goals behind but he reckons they can turn it around. At
:04:44. > :04:49.the end of the two legs, I simply want to score more goals than them.
:04:50. > :04:55.Pure mathematics. In this moment, 3-1. I think in the end it can be
:04:56. > :05:00.4-3. All 5-4. I think we are going to, really. That's all from me,
:05:01. > :05:01.Newsround's back this afternoon. Head to the website for more of the
