:00:27. > :00:29.The Gaming Baftas took place in London to award the best

:00:30. > :00:32.in the business, including the best family game.

:00:33. > :00:35.The BBC's Chris Foxx went to the event and sent us this

:00:36. > :00:41.Well, usually when a red carpet is rolled out like this

:00:42. > :00:44.and there is a very posh award ceremony, it's for movie stars.

:00:45. > :00:46.But tonight, it's the people who work behind the scenes making

:00:47. > :00:49.some of your favourite video games that are nominated for awards.

:00:50. > :00:53.And a lot of people play them - one in five of us plays video games,

:00:54. > :00:58.Let's have a chat with the host Dara O Briain.

:00:59. > :00:59.What makes an award-winning video game?

:01:00. > :01:02.Well, they're so varied, it's difficult to narrow down to one

:01:03. > :01:05.thing but there's that rush of excitement, there's

:01:06. > :01:08.the adrenaline thrill of having the story slowly unfold,

:01:09. > :01:11.of small achievements leading to greater achievements,

:01:12. > :01:16.Just the pizzazz and the sheen of it, as well.

:01:17. > :01:19.We give awards for the music and the graphics and everything,

:01:20. > :01:22.And also for games you play as a family.

:01:23. > :01:25.And the hugest thing in that sphere for the last while has been one

:01:26. > :01:27.called toys to life, which is those boards

:01:28. > :01:30.where you place a small toy and it would appear on the screen.

:01:31. > :01:33.Lego Dimensions is one of those and some people have played

:01:34. > :01:36.with Disney Infinity and there is a lot of those kind

:01:37. > :01:45.So that will be as hard fought as any.

:01:46. > :01:52.And here we are with the winner of the best family game.

:01:53. > :01:55.You actually got three awards and you can't carry them all.

:01:56. > :01:57.Dave, what's it like winning all these awards?

:01:58. > :02:01.We didn't expect anywhere near this level of success but I'm just happy

:02:02. > :02:04.that everybody else is enjoying the game as much as we are.

:02:05. > :02:07.What would you say to anyone who is thinking of getting

:02:08. > :02:09.Oh, I mean, just follow your dreams on that.

:02:10. > :02:13.I started having, you know, no idea how to get into the game

:02:14. > :02:16.industry and I just started modding games and it just

:02:17. > :02:24.Footie now, and with two wins in Euro 2017 qualification already,

:02:25. > :02:26.England's women are preparing to face Belgium tonight

:02:46. > :02:47.You make so many sacrifices to be a footballer.

:02:48. > :02:50.I've kind of put everything into being a footballer and probably

:02:51. > :02:54.didn't think if I didn't make it what I'd be, so now I enjoy

:02:55. > :02:59.I'd probably either be a graphic designer or I'd probably work

:03:00. > :03:04.Who is the best player that you have ever played against?

:03:05. > :03:10.I think her balance, her skill, her decision-making,

:03:11. > :03:12.and she's England's record goal-scorer so,

:03:13. > :03:21.When I was a kid, he was just the most commanding goalkeeper

:03:22. > :03:26.around and I wanted to emulate him in every way, and you can see

:03:27. > :03:32.that his son is playing just as well as he used to then.

:03:33. > :03:35.Do you feel like you're underestimated because

:03:36. > :03:41.If people start talking about football, immediately

:03:42. > :03:44.their first instinct is to talk about men and I think if people

:03:45. > :03:47.previously have seen women's football on TV, they're just

:03:48. > :03:49.going to immediately think that it's a lower standard,

:03:50. > :03:52.and it's not, so that is kind of annoying at times.

:03:53. > :03:54.I'm encouraging people to watch more women's football, so they can

:03:55. > :03:56.appreciate how talented and technically gifted

:03:57. > :04:04.Yesterday we told you about a young photographer whose

:04:05. > :04:08.winning picture of a hare got him a top prize at the 2016

:04:09. > :04:12.Mammal Photographer of the Year Awards.

:04:13. > :04:15.Alex White, who's 12 years old, spends a lot of his free time out

:04:16. > :04:17.in the elements taking pictures with his camera.

:04:18. > :04:20.He sent Newsround this special message.

:04:21. > :04:24.I was very pleased to find out that the Mammal Society

:04:25. > :04:26.had chosen my photo, especially as hares are one of my
