0:00:04 > 0:00:06Hi, I'm Ricky with Friday's Newsround.
0:00:06 > 0:00:09Coming up in the next few minutes:
0:00:09 > 0:00:16Your questions for England women's footballers answered.
0:00:16 > 0:00:20And we speak to Kevin Simm ahead of The Voice final.
0:00:30 > 0:00:33It was a huge night for people in the gaming world last night.
0:00:33 > 0:00:33A special Baftas took place in London to award the best
0:00:36 > 0:00:40games in the business, including in the family category.
0:00:40 > 0:00:43The BBC's Chris Foxx went to the event and sent us this
0:00:43 > 0:00:46from the red carpet.
0:00:46 > 0:00:49Well, usually when a red carpet is rolled out like this
0:00:49 > 0:00:52and there is a very posh award ceremony, it's for movie stars.
0:00:52 > 0:00:54But tonight, it's the people who work behind the scenes making
0:00:54 > 0:00:57some of your favourite video games that are nominated for awards.
0:00:57 > 0:01:01And a lot of people play them - one in five of us plays video games,
0:01:01 > 0:01:03so it's not just young people.
0:01:03 > 0:01:05Let's have a chat with the host Dara O Briain.
0:01:05 > 0:01:08What makes an award-winning video game?
0:01:08 > 0:01:10Well, they're so varied, it's difficult to narrow down to one
0:01:10 > 0:01:14thing but there's that rush of excitement, there's
0:01:14 > 0:01:16the adrenaline thrill of having the story slowly unfold,
0:01:16 > 0:01:20of small achievements leading to greater achievements,
0:01:20 > 0:01:21and we've all done this.
0:01:21 > 0:01:24Just the pizzazz and the sheen of it, as well.
0:01:24 > 0:01:26We give awards for the music and the graphics and everything,
0:01:26 > 0:01:27and for the design.
0:01:27 > 0:01:30And also for games you play as a family.
0:01:30 > 0:01:33And the hugest thing in that sphere for the last while has been one
0:01:33 > 0:01:35called toys to life, which is those boards
0:01:35 > 0:01:38where you place a small toy and it would appear on the screen.
0:01:38 > 0:01:41Lego Dimensions is one of those and some people have played
0:01:41 > 0:01:44with Disney Infinity and there is a lot of those kind
0:01:44 > 0:01:45of games are nominated as well.
0:01:45 > 0:01:47So that will be as hard fought as any.
0:01:47 > 0:01:50And the BAFTA for family goes to...
0:01:50 > 0:01:54Rocket League.
0:01:54 > 0:01:57And here we are with the winner of the best family game.
0:01:57 > 0:02:00You actually got three awards and you can't carry them all.
0:02:00 > 0:02:02Dave, what's it like winning all these awards?
0:02:02 > 0:02:03It's absolutely amazing.
0:02:03 > 0:02:06We didn't expect anywhere near this level of success but I'm just happy
0:02:06 > 0:02:09that everybody else is enjoying the game as much as we are.
0:02:09 > 0:02:12What would you say to anyone who is thinking of getting
0:02:12 > 0:02:13into games design?
0:02:13 > 0:02:15Oh, I mean, just follow your dreams on that.
0:02:15 > 0:02:20I started having, you know, no idea how to get into the game
0:02:20 > 0:02:24industry and I just started modding games and it just
0:02:24 > 0:02:27kind of led from there.
0:02:27 > 0:02:32Footie now, and with two wins in Euro 2017 qualification already,
0:02:32 > 0:02:34England's women are preparing to face Belgium tonight
0:02:34 > 0:02:36in their next qualifier.
0:02:36 > 0:02:39All this week we've been asking you to send in your questions
0:02:39 > 0:02:40for the Lionesses' most-capped player,
0:02:40 > 0:02:43Fara Williams, and goalkeeper Karen Bardsley.
0:02:43 > 0:02:48And now we have their answers.
0:02:54 > 0:02:56You make so many sacrifices to be a footballer.
0:02:56 > 0:02:59I've kind of put everything into being a footballer and probably
0:02:59 > 0:03:02didn't think if I didn't make it what I'd be, so now I enjoy
0:03:02 > 0:03:04coaching, so probably a coach.
0:03:04 > 0:03:06I'd probably either be a graphic designer or I'd probably work
0:03:06 > 0:03:07at Disneyland.
0:03:07 > 0:03:09I don't know.
0:03:13 > 0:03:15It has to be Kelly Smith.
0:03:15 > 0:03:17I think her balance, her skill, her decision-making,
0:03:17 > 0:03:19and she's England's record goal-scorer so,
0:03:19 > 0:03:21for me, she is the best.
0:03:25 > 0:03:26My role model was Peter Schmeichel.
0:03:26 > 0:03:29When I was a kid, he was just the most commanding goalkeeper
0:03:29 > 0:03:33around and I wanted to emulate him in every way, and you can see
0:03:33 > 0:03:38that his son is playing just as well as he used to then.
0:03:38 > 0:03:40Do you feel like you're underestimated because
0:03:40 > 0:03:41you're female?
0:03:44 > 0:03:44Yeah, definitely.
0:03:44 > 0:03:47If people start talking about football, immediately
0:03:47 > 0:03:50their first instinct is to talk about men and I think if people
0:03:50 > 0:03:53previously have seen women's football on TV, they're just
0:03:53 > 0:03:55going to immediately think that it's a lower standard,
0:03:55 > 0:03:59and it's not, so that is kind of annoying at times.
0:03:59 > 0:04:02I'm encouraging people to watch more women's football, so they can
0:04:02 > 0:04:03appreciate how talented and technically gifted
0:04:03 > 0:04:10we actually are.
0:04:10 > 0:04:13It's the final of The Voice this weekend and with so much to gain,
0:04:13 > 0:04:17I caught up with finalist Kevin Simm to find out what life has been like
0:04:17 > 0:04:18since he entered the competition.
0:04:20 > 0:04:22Kevin, the final is this weekend, The Voice final.
0:04:22 > 0:04:23You've made it.
0:04:23 > 0:04:25How are you feeling?
0:04:25 > 0:04:28I didn't expect to get this far, so it's just all been
0:04:28 > 0:04:32a bit of a whirlwind.
0:04:33 > 0:04:36You were in a band when you were younger, called Liberty X.
0:04:36 > 0:04:38Do you think of those days fondly at all?
0:04:38 > 0:04:42I look back at it all with a lot of pride.
0:04:42 > 0:04:45No embarrassment?
0:04:45 > 0:04:50Cos the videos were different to the kind of videos you see today.
0:04:50 > 0:04:53You look at yourself and you think, "Oh, I shouldn't have worn that,"
0:04:53 > 0:04:56or, "I should've gone to the gym a bit more," and things like that.
0:04:56 > 0:04:59But no, I mean, it was an amazing experience and I'm very lucky
0:04:59 > 0:05:02to have had that.
0:05:02 > 0:05:03Have you enjoyed actually singing live again?
0:05:03 > 0:05:05The experience of it all has been brilliant,
0:05:05 > 0:05:08cos the place is, like, buzzing and, obviously, I get
0:05:08 > 0:05:10on very well with all the other contestants as well,
0:05:10 > 0:05:13so it's just been really good fun.
0:05:13 > 0:05:14Like a family sort of atmosphere.
0:05:14 > 0:05:15You said you've got kids.
0:05:15 > 0:05:17Do they realise what's going on at the moment,
0:05:17 > 0:05:20that you're on The Voice and that Dad is doing really well?
0:05:20 > 0:05:23They obviously love seeing me on the television but I think,
0:05:23 > 0:05:25to be fair, they like seeing themselves on television
0:05:25 > 0:05:27a little bit more.
0:05:27 > 0:05:30But no, they know Daddy's a singer and they think Daddy lives
0:05:30 > 0:05:38on the stage, so they're definitely rooting for me.
0:05:38 > 0:05:40Just enough time to tell you what's over on the website.
0:05:40 > 0:05:42Ever wanted to quiz a film star?
0:05:42 > 0:05:45Well, you can tell us what you'd like to ask the actor picked to play
0:05:45 > 0:05:49Mowgli in the new version of The Jungle Book.
0:05:49 > 0:05:50That's all from me.
0:05:50 > 0:05:55Newsround's back at 4:20pm this afternoon.
0:05:59 > 0:05:59See
0:05:59 > 0:05:59See you
0:05:59 > 0:05:59See you soon.
0:05:59 > 0:06:01See you soon. Bye-bye.
