:00:09. > :00:13.this Thursday. On the way. Manchester City move a big step

:00:14. > :00:16.closer to becoming champions. Scientists show how the universe

:00:17. > :00:24.evolved, with an amazing computer animation.

:00:25. > :00:28.Six months ago today, one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded

:00:29. > :00:33.tore into the Philippines in south'east Asia. Typhoon Haiyan left

:00:34. > :00:38.some parts of islands completely flattened. More than 6,000 people

:00:39. > :00:40.died. Millions were left homeless. Leah's been looking into how the

:00:41. > :00:50.country's coping half a year on. On eighth November 2013, Typhoon

:00:51. > :00:56.Haiyan hit the Philippines. Powerful winds, some as strong as 200 miles

:00:57. > :01:01.an hour, ripped through the islands. The storm left parts of country

:01:02. > :01:04.devastated. I travelled to the island of Cebu in November and saw

:01:05. > :01:11.for myself just how much damage had been done. This is what's left of

:01:12. > :01:15.the house they had. There's nothing left but wood. Countries around the

:01:16. > :01:19.world were quick to step in, sending aid to the millions of people

:01:20. > :01:22.affected. The UK even sent a warship, HMS Illustrious, to deliver

:01:23. > :01:29.supplies. Local people and aid agencies began the clean'up

:01:30. > :01:36.operation. But it was, and continues to be, a huge task. Today, life is

:01:37. > :01:39.beginning to get back to normal. The streets are busy with people and

:01:40. > :01:44.cars, and some shops are open. But many people are still living in

:01:45. > :01:49.tents or shacks. We're looking now at moving them into longer term

:01:50. > :01:54.housing, durable housing. We're rebuilding schools that were blown

:01:55. > :01:59.over. We're not there yet but people have shelter, people have food,

:02:00. > :02:02.people have clean water. Children in the Philippines are extraordinarily

:02:03. > :02:06.resilient. They're getting on with their lives. They're building back

:02:07. > :02:10.their lives and they just want to get on with it. They want to move

:02:11. > :02:14.past a really terrible event and hang out with their friends and play

:02:15. > :02:17.with their friends, do like any kid likes to do. But many people did

:02:18. > :02:21.lose everything, not just their homes but their jobs too. The next

:02:22. > :02:33.step is helping them get back into work so they and their families can

:02:34. > :02:36.live without relying on aid. And don't forget you can still watch

:02:37. > :02:39.Leah's special reports from the Philippines when she travelled there

:02:40. > :02:43.shortly after the typhoon hit. You'll also find a picture gallery

:02:44. > :02:46.of the children she met while she was out there. Manchester City have

:02:47. > :02:49.one hand on the Premier League trophy, now, following last night's

:02:50. > :02:53.4-0 win over Aston Villa. Edin Dzeko scored twice but the pick of the

:02:54. > :02:56.goals was this solo effort from Yaya Toure. It was Manchester City's

:02:57. > :03:00.100th league goal of the season. They are now two points clear of

:03:01. > :03:03.Liverpool with one game to play and have a better goal difference. Now

:03:04. > :03:09.we can talk about the title. Before this game I was just thinking we

:03:10. > :03:18.must win the last game at home. We are not thinking of drawing. We are

:03:19. > :03:23.just thinking on trying to play. If we play in that way maybe we can win

:03:24. > :03:26.the title. At the other end of the table, Sunderland have made an

:03:27. > :03:29.incredible escape from relegation with a 2-0 win against West Brom.

:03:30. > :03:34.First-half goals from Jack Colback and Fabio Borini make it four wins

:03:35. > :03:37.in a row. Less than a month ago Sunderland were bottom of the table

:03:38. > :03:46.and seven points from safety. Manager Gus Poyet says now he can

:03:47. > :03:52.start believing in miracles. It was an incredible escape. It was a

:03:53. > :03:55.miracle, it was something unique, it was something special. The

:03:56. > :03:58.connection on the pitch between the players in the last few games in an

:03:59. > :04:01.incredible way. Connection with the fans every single game in an

:04:02. > :04:06.incredible way. There's only one result - win football games. ??

:04:07. > :04:09.WHITE Next, a team of international scientists has recreated the birth

:04:10. > :04:13.and growth of the Universe in their lab. The computer model shows how

:04:14. > :04:15.the first galaxies formed around clumps of a mysterious, invisible

:04:16. > :04:22.substance called dark matter, squeezing 14 billion years into just

:04:23. > :04:25.two-and-a-half minutes. It's the first time the Universe has been

:04:26. > :04:31.modelled so extensively and in such great quality. And now some news of

:04:32. > :04:34.a change of name for the home of this guy. The giant dinosaur that

:04:35. > :04:38.has pride of place in the Central hall of London's Natural History

:04:39. > :04:41.Museum. The Hall will be renamed the Hintze Hall after the couple who

:04:42. > :04:45.have given a huge ?5 million donation. It's the largest single

:04:46. > :04:48.donation in the museum's history, and will be used to maintain

:04:49. > :05:01.collections and for scientific research behind the scenes. I will

:05:02. > :05:02.see you in half an hour. Bye bye.
