:00:15. > :00:18.Storm Irma, one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded,

:00:19. > :00:19.is carrying on its path across the Caribbean,

:00:20. > :00:26.Overnight, the British Islands of Turks and Caicos have suffered

:00:27. > :00:28.from the wind and rain the storm has brought.

:00:29. > :00:32.The UK has promised ?32 million in help and, along with France

:00:33. > :00:35.and the Netherlands, are sending rescue teams

:00:36. > :00:38.and emergency supplies to help the one million people experts think

:00:39. > :00:47.Now, most of you are back in school, and while that can be

:00:48. > :00:49.really exciting, it can also be nerve-wracking.

:00:50. > :00:52.Most of you will be looking forward to the year,

:00:53. > :00:55.but some of you will be worrying about other things, like bullying.

:00:56. > :00:58.We met up with one boy who's experienced both sides of school

:00:59. > :01:05.Hi, my name's Alexander, I'm 11 years old and I enjoy acting,

:01:06. > :01:10.playing my music, playing tennis and rugby.

:01:11. > :01:22.I'm really looking forward to going back to school, and I cannot wait.

:01:23. > :01:25.Unfortunately a few years ago I was bullied,

:01:26. > :01:30.and I was called very rude names, and rumours were being

:01:31. > :01:36.And this made me feel really sad, and it made me feel worried

:01:37. > :01:42.about what was going to happen the next day.

:01:43. > :01:45.Then I was so fed up with what was happening,

:01:46. > :01:49.I decided to enter a competition where I would write

:01:50. > :01:51.a letter to the bully, telling them how I felt.

:01:52. > :02:00.After I wrote the letter, I felt like I'd got something off my chest,

:02:01. > :02:06.because I hadn't spoken completely outright about how

:02:07. > :02:12.Now I feel that I've come out a much more confident person,

:02:13. > :02:15.and I think the issues I've had have helped to shape my independence.

:02:16. > :02:20.And now that I'm an anti-bullying ambassador, I can help people,

:02:21. > :02:23.and if someone comes up to me and says they feel someone's

:02:24. > :02:28.being mean to them, I'd know how they feel.

:02:29. > :02:33.Remember to tell someone you trust about what's going on.

:02:34. > :02:38.It really helps that someone else knows.

:02:39. > :02:43.Remember that it's not your fault that someone's being mean to you.

:02:44. > :02:47.This year I'm looking forward to our school play

:02:48. > :02:52.and our school competitions, because they are really crazy

:02:53. > :03:04.And if bullying is something you are worried about,

:03:05. > :03:07.remember to talk to an adult, and there's loads of help and advice

:03:08. > :03:11.It's not just kids in the UK back at school -

:03:12. > :03:14.children around the world are cracking on with their lessons.

:03:15. > :03:19.Here's one school in Pakistan that's a little different...

:03:20. > :03:24.Meet kids in Karachi in Pakistan getting on with their lessons.

:03:25. > :03:29.But this isn't a regular kind of school in the city.

:03:30. > :03:31.It's been made right under a flyover and next to some busy roads.

:03:32. > :03:36.It might seem basic and noisy to work in, but without it these

:03:37. > :03:42.kids wouldn't have anywhere else to go to school.

:03:43. > :03:47.That's because, while most kids in the UK are in lessons,

:03:48. > :03:49.these children used to have to work and earn money to help

:03:50. > :03:56.TRANSLATION: I used to have to sweep, to mop and dust

:03:57. > :04:02.My dad died, so my mum said I needed to work.

:04:03. > :04:04.TRANSLATION: At first, my mum wouldn't let me come.

:04:05. > :04:10.I said I wanted to study, but she said no, I need to work.

:04:11. > :04:15.But since I've learned to read and write, my mum is really happy.

:04:16. > :04:17.As well as a free education, pupils get a free lunch

:04:18. > :04:20.and free school uniform, and they get paid to attend to make

:04:21. > :04:28.up for the money they would have earned if they were working instead.

:04:29. > :04:31.It's hoped schools like this will allow the poorest of children

:04:32. > :04:33.in Pakistan to get an education, and hopefully get better

:04:34. > :04:41.That's all from me, I'm back in about half-an-hour.
