0:00:04 > 0:00:05Hello, I'm Ayshah with Friday morning's stories.

0:00:05 > 0:00:08Here's what's going on today.

0:00:08 > 0:00:12Help is arriving for those affected by storm Irma.

0:00:12 > 0:00:15And a very unusual train journey.

0:00:25 > 0:00:26First up, Storm Irma, one of the strongest

0:00:26 > 0:00:29hurricanes ever recorded, is carrying on its path

0:00:29 > 0:00:32across the Caribbean causing huge amounts of damage.

0:00:32 > 0:00:35Overnight, the British Islands of Turks and Caicos have suffered

0:00:35 > 0:00:39from the wind and rain the storm has brought.

0:00:39 > 0:00:42The UK has promised ?32 million in help and, along with France

0:00:42 > 0:00:45and the Netherlands, are sending rescue teams

0:00:45 > 0:00:49and emergency supplies to help the one million people experts think

0:00:49 > 0:00:53have been affected so far.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Now most of you are back in school and while that

0:00:56 > 0:00:59can be really exciting, it can also be nerve-wracking.

0:00:59 > 0:01:03Most of you will be looking forward to the year but some of you will be

0:01:03 > 0:01:05worrying about other things like bullying.

0:01:05 > 0:01:08We met up with one boy who's experienced both sides of school

0:01:08 > 0:01:13and is feeling positive.

0:01:13 > 0:01:17Hi, my name's Alexander, I'm 11 years old and I enjoy acting,

0:01:17 > 0:01:21playing my music, playing tennis and rugby.

0:01:21 > 0:01:23And playing with my dog.

0:01:23 > 0:01:33I'm really looking forward to going back to school, and I cannot wait.

0:01:33 > 0:01:37Unfortunately a few years ago I was bullied,

0:01:37 > 0:01:42and I was called very rude names, and rumours were being

0:01:42 > 0:01:44spread about me.

0:01:44 > 0:01:47And this made me feel really sad, and it made me feel worried

0:01:47 > 0:01:53about what was going to happen the next day.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55Then I was so fed up with what was happening,

0:01:55 > 0:01:59I decided to enter a competition where I would write

0:01:59 > 0:02:03a letter to the bully, telling them how I felt.

0:02:03 > 0:02:07I won first prize.

0:02:07 > 0:02:13After I wrote the letter, I felt like I'd got something off my chest,

0:02:13 > 0:02:16because I hadn't spoken completely outright about how

0:02:16 > 0:02:19I felt beforehand.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22Now I feel that I've come out a much more confident person,

0:02:22 > 0:02:31Hello, I'm Ayshah with Friday morning's stories.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34And now that I'm an anti-bullying ambassador, I can help people,

0:02:34 > 0:02:37and if someone comes up to me and says they feel someone's

0:02:37 > 0:02:39being mean to them, I'd know how they feel.

0:02:39 > 0:02:44Remember to tell someone you trust about what's going on.

0:02:44 > 0:02:48It really helps that someone else knows.

0:02:48 > 0:02:53Remember that it's not your fault that someone's being mean to you.

0:02:53 > 0:02:57This year I'm looking forward to our school play

0:02:57 > 0:03:03and our school competitions, because they are really crazy

0:03:03 > 0:03:10and they are really fun every year.

0:03:10 > 0:03:11Thanks for sharing your story, Alexander.

0:03:11 > 0:03:13And if bullying is something you are worried about,

0:03:13 > 0:03:16remember to talk to an adult and there's loads of help

0:03:16 > 0:03:19and advice at Newsround online

0:03:19 > 0:03:21It's not just kids in the UK back at school.

0:03:21 > 0:03:25Children around the world are cracking on with their lessons.

0:03:25 > 0:03:30Here's one school in Pakistan that's a little different.

0:03:30 > 0:03:35Meet kids in Karachi in Pakistan getting on with their lessons.

0:03:35 > 0:03:39But this isn't a regular kind of school in the city.

0:03:39 > 0:03:44It's been made right under a flyover and next to some busy roads.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48It might seem basic and noisy to work in, but without it these

0:03:48 > 0:03:53kids wouldn't have anywhere else to go to school.

0:03:53 > 0:03:56That's because, while most kids in the UK are in lessons,

0:03:56 > 0:04:00these children used to have to work and earn money to help

0:04:00 > 0:04:04their families make ends meet.

0:04:04 > 0:04:06TRANSLATION: I used to have to sweep, to mop and dust

0:04:06 > 0:04:07other people's houses.

0:04:07 > 0:04:13My dad died, so my mum said I needed to work.

0:04:13 > 0:04:15TRANSLATION: At first, my mum wouldn't let me come.

0:04:15 > 0:04:21I said I wanted to study, but she said no, I need to work.

0:04:21 > 0:04:25But since I've learned to read and write, my mum is really happy.

0:04:25 > 0:04:28As well as a free education, pupils get a free lunch

0:04:28 > 0:04:31and free school uniform, and they get paid to attend to make

0:04:31 > 0:04:37up for the money they would have earned if they were working instead.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40It's hoped schools like this will allow the poorest of children

0:04:40 > 0:04:44in Pakistan to get an education, and hopefully get better

0:04:44 > 0:04:50jobs when they grow up.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53Time to have a look at a some of the top sports stories today.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56We've seen the last of players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moving

0:04:56 > 0:04:59between Premier League clubs once the season starts.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02Clubs have voted to close next summer's transfer window before

0:05:02 > 0:05:05the season kicks off.

0:05:05 > 0:05:07The window in other countries will stay the same, so players

0:05:07 > 0:05:11could still leave their clubs, after the deadline

0:05:11 > 0:05:13in England closes.

0:05:13 > 0:05:16And in tennis, Venus Williams missed out on her first US Open

0:05:16 > 0:05:18finals for 15 years.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21She lost to Sloane Stephens in New York last night.

0:05:21 > 0:05:25That means there'll be two new faces in the women's final this year.

0:05:25 > 0:05:33Stephens will go up against fellow American Madison Keys.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35Now when you look out of a train you sometimes

0:05:35 > 0:05:36see strange things.

0:05:36 > 0:05:37But not this strange.

0:05:37 > 0:05:40These passengers in Germany were treated to a special show

0:05:40 > 0:05:43of men on ladders saluting, running trees,

0:05:43 > 0:05:46and even a fake shark!

0:05:46 > 0:05:49It's part of a theatre performance that aims to bring city

0:05:49 > 0:05:52and countryside together.

0:05:52 > 0:05:53That's the latest for now.

0:05:53 > 0:05:55Online's the place to go for new updates.

0:05:55 > 0:05:56We're back at 4.20.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58Bye!
