:02:18. > :02:23.out and he had to get wellies so we are able to help him.

:02:34. > :02:38.How nice is it to come here to help out?
:02:39. > :02:41.It's really nice because everyone is trying their hardest to help
:02:42. > :02:44.other people, even if they haven't got flooded, they're trying to
:02:45. > :02:50.help people that have, trying to keep them safe and everything.
:02:51. > :02:53.But with more flooding expected in some areas later,
:02:54. > :02:56.some families who have stayed in their homes are trying to
:02:57. > :03:10.The BBC's Fiona Trott is in one street in Carlisle in Cumbria.

:03:17. > :03:19.here in this street with no electricity, no heat, but that is
:03:20. > :03:23.out there what around half the residents here have done. They have
:03:24. > :03:28.decided to stay, but at least when they walk up this morning, they are
:03:29. > :03:32.waking up to the floodwater going away and the way people were talking
:03:33. > :03:36.last night, you get the impression they want to start some kind of
:03:37. > :03:41.clean-up operation today. One house has already started doing that and
:03:42. > :03:46.have pumped 5000 litres of floodwater and raw sewage.
