:00:13. > :00:19.and we've got everything you need to know including - one family's

:00:19. > :00:27.incredible bush fire escape in Australia. And the couple that

:00:27. > :00:29.crashed their own wedding in a hot air balloon! First to Australia,

:00:29. > :00:33.where incredible survival stories are starting to emerge from the

:00:33. > :00:36.wildfires that have been raging there. Fire crews have welcomed a

:00:36. > :00:38.big drop in weather temperature, as they continue to battle bushfires

:00:38. > :00:41.across the south east of the country. Weather experts have now

:00:41. > :00:44.confirmed that yesterday was Australia's hottest day on record,

:00:44. > :00:49.with Monday the second hottest. No- one's been killed by the fires,

:00:49. > :00:52.although many people have had to flee their homes. Here one family

:00:52. > :00:56.in the state of Tazmania tell the frightening story of their amazing

:00:56. > :00:58.escape. As flames swept across the state of Tasmania, five children

:00:58. > :01:04.and their grandparents found themselves trapped by the

:01:04. > :01:12.uncontrollable blaze. We saw tornadoes of fire coming across

:01:12. > :01:16.towards us. It came from both directions. It came at us and then

:01:16. > :01:19.from the side. With no escape, the family were left with little choice

:01:19. > :01:25.but to jump into a river for safety, even though three of the children

:01:25. > :01:32.aren't able to swim. Even though there was hot ash all over us, it

:01:32. > :01:42.was still cold. We were all just water up to our chins just trying

:01:42. > :01:45.

:01:45. > :01:47.to breath because the atmosphere was so toxic. When the blaze was

:01:47. > :01:53.finally under control the children were pulled to safety and reunited

:01:54. > :01:56.with their mum and dad. Just to set your minds at ease, the whole

:01:56. > :01:59.family escaped safely. Now, the huge heatwave that has gripped

:01:59. > :02:02.south east Australia has cooled a bit in the last day, making

:02:02. > :02:05.firefighters' jobs slightly easier. But over 130 fires are still

:02:05. > :02:10.burning across New South Wales and the temperatures are set to rise

:02:10. > :02:14.well above 40 degrees at the weekend. We'll have more on the

:02:14. > :02:19.science behind how these fires started, in our late bulletin at

:02:19. > :02:22.It's the biggest event in the British film year, and now the

:02:22. > :02:24.nominations for the BAFTAs have been announced. There are lots of

:02:24. > :02:29.different categories with awards including best film, best animation

:02:29. > :02:31.and best British film up for grabs. There's a bit of a horror theme in

:02:31. > :02:36.the animated film category, with Frankenweenie and Paranorman both

:02:36. > :02:38.up for the prize, as well as Pixar's Brave. Ricky asked BBC

:02:38. > :02:48.entertainment reporter Colin Paterson which of the three films

:02:48. > :02:52.

:02:52. > :02:56.he thinks will win. It depends. If kids were voting, I

:02:56. > :03:06.think brave would win. It may be frank and Winnie. Maybe not the

:03:06. > :03:07.

:03:07. > :03:12.Happy Birthday, the Tube! It's 150 years today since the world's first

:03:12. > :03:17.underground train journey took place in London back in 1863.

:03:17. > :03:20.Here's how it looked years ago. Quick couple of Tube facts - it's

:03:20. > :03:23.thought half a million mice live in the tunnels, and there's a

:03:23. > :03:26.completely unique species of mosquito down there too. To

:03:26. > :03:29.celebrate the Tube's birthday, a series of stamps and special coins

:03:30. > :03:36.have been released. And you can see those in a gallery over on our

:03:36. > :03:41.website right now. Now, is there a more romantic way to get married

:03:41. > :03:43.that on board a hot air balloon? Well, when the ceremony of your

:03:44. > :03:49.dreams ends like this, there probably is.This is the moment that

:03:49. > :03:59.a balloon in America crash landed after a couple got married on board.

:03:59. > :03:59.

:03:59. > :04:04.Fear not, no-one was badly hurt. So let's hear from the happy couple.

:04:04. > :04:11.just wanted us to get married in a hot air balloon. I said I was

:04:11. > :04:21.scared of heights and she said she was. At other was pretty fast. We

:04:21. > :04:22.

:04:22. > :04:25.were holding on. It bounced a few times. We were tried. -- dried.

:04:25. > :04:28.me set the scene. Every lunch break your sandwiches are under threat

:04:28. > :04:31.from a flock of hungry seagulls. Who do you call? Your parents?

:04:31. > :04:34.Batman? The police!? Nope - a hawk. That's just what a school in

:04:34. > :04:38.Grimsby have done. The seagulls were a right pain as they stole

:04:39. > :04:47.kids lunches. So now a hawk patrols the skies above the playground. But

:04:47. > :04:56.are seagulls really that scary? Eating crisps they come stared down
