:01:04. > :01:06.whether or not it's a good thing for you to do.
:01:07. > :01:10.Some people think homework puts too much pressure on kids.
:01:11. > :01:13.They say research suggests homework in primary school isn't
:01:14. > :01:16.helpful for students, and because of this some heads
:01:17. > :01:19.and teachers want homework to be banned completely.
:01:20. > :01:21.But others say homework is an important part of you learning
:01:22. > :01:24.how to work on your own, and gives you the chance
:01:25. > :01:26.to practice what you've learnt in the classroom,
:01:27. > :01:31.like reading, writing, spelling and times tables.
:01:32. > :01:34.At this school, the students are given written and number
:01:35. > :01:37.Homework is a good thing because it might help children
:01:38. > :01:40.who are struggling or just need a bit more information to help them,
:01:41. > :01:44.and I think all children should be doing it.
:01:45. > :01:47.I don't like homework because I feel after school I should relax.
:01:48. > :01:51.I think it's beneficial because you're recapping
:01:52. > :01:59.Sometimes I get really stressed when I don't have it all done.
:02:00. > :02:01.It's really, like, it puts you under pressure.
:02:02. > :02:03.The Government says headteachers can make their own decision
:02:04. > :02:06.about whether or not to set homework, so why does this
:02:07. > :02:07.school, like many others, think it's important?
:02:08. > :02:14.Basically we give them homework because we want them to reaffirm
:02:15. > :02:17.what they've learned that week and enjoy what they're learning,
:02:18. > :02:20.and we also want them to be ready for when they go to secondary
:02:21. > :02:24.school, that they will be getting homework on a regular basis
:02:25. > :02:29.I would like homework to be a bit more varied,
:02:30. > :02:33.and I'd like there to be history projects and science things,
:02:34. > :02:40.If homework was taken away, I'd feel glad but also sad
:02:41. > :02:43.because the homework helps me know what I'm doing and makes me more
:02:44. > :02:47.confident, but I'd be happy as well because I've got more time to spend
