0:01:01 > 0:01:03Did you know kimchi is one of the country's popular dishes but

0:01:03 > 0:01:05what on earth is it?

0:01:05 > 0:01:08It's made from spicy pickled cabbage which has been

0:01:08 > 0:01:10fermented in a jar for a number of months.

0:01:10 > 0:01:15Sounds a bit weird but it's actually super tasty.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17Koreans have around 250 different recipes

0:01:17 > 0:01:25for kimchi and they usually eat it with every meal.

0:01:25 > 0:01:30Did you know that in Korea you are actually older?

0:01:30 > 0:01:36That's because they count birthdays a bit differently.

0:01:36 > 0:01:38In Korea you are born aged one instead of zero

0:01:38 > 0:01:40and on the new year you gain an extra year

0:01:40 > 0:01:42so if you were born in

0:01:42 > 0:01:45December by January you'd be two years old in Korea, even though

0:02:21 > 0:02:23'Happy 700 Pyeongchang', that's because around 84% of the area is

0:02:23 > 0:02:26made up of mountains.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28It sits an average height of 700 metres above

0:02:28 > 0:02:30sea level.
