:00:00. > :00:07.of the most shocking results in World Cup history.

:00:08. > :00:12.All the reaction to a night of tears in Brazil on the way, plus:

:00:13. > :00:15.Why having a memory like a fish might not be

:00:16. > :00:26.So Brazil's World Cup dreams were crushed last night in one

:00:27. > :00:30.of the most incredible games in the history of the tournament.

:00:31. > :00:34.The host nation were thrashed 7- yes, 7 - by Germany,

:00:35. > :00:38.the biggest defeat by anyone in a World Cup semifinal ever.

:00:39. > :00:41.The Germans were 5-0 up after just half an hour after scoring four

:00:42. > :00:54.times in just six minutes and leaving Brazil's fans in tears.

:00:55. > :01:07.It is terrible. Who can explain it? It is a terrible game and I am very

:01:08. > :01:13.disappointed. It has never happened before. I am feeling ashamed.

:01:14. > :01:16.Just to put this into context - Germany scored more goals in that

:01:17. > :01:19.one game than England have in the last two World Cups put together

:01:20. > :01:22.Chelsea's Andre Schurle added two more for them in the second half to

:01:23. > :01:25.make it seven before a last minute consolation goal for Oscar.

:01:26. > :01:27.The whole of Brazil had expected them to reach Sunday's final.

:01:28. > :01:36.The BBC's Julia Carneiro summed up the feeling on the streets.

:01:37. > :01:45.It was supposed to have been a big street party, but everything went

:01:46. > :01:49.wrong. People started to leave the stadium before the first half was

:01:50. > :01:55.over without hope that things would go better. There are musicians

:01:56. > :01:58.playing trying to cheer up the crowd, but everyone is leaving.

:01:59. > :02:00.We'll have more on this back here at 8:15,

:02:01. > :02:02.but there's loads more on the Newsround website

:02:03. > :02:05.in the meantime and a preview to tonight's other semi-final between

:02:06. > :02:08.Well, that result might have been a shock to most but

:02:09. > :02:11.if you were watching yesterday you'll know Ronaldo the Newsround

:02:12. > :02:17.Will it be Messi's Argentina or Robben and the Netherlands?

:02:18. > :02:59.And from predicting parrots too clever cichlids. You may have heard

:03:00. > :03:05.that fish have a short term memory, but here is one fish type that can

:03:06. > :03:11.remember things for longer. Where did I put my sandwich? I have

:03:12. > :03:17.a memory like a fish. Or I thought I did. These are African cichlids.

:03:18. > :03:22.People thought that this could only remember things for a a few seconds,

:03:23. > :03:26.but now scientists think that these fish are more clever than they

:03:27. > :03:34.thought. What we did was, we train them with

:03:35. > :03:38.food. Research has developed an experiment

:03:39. > :03:43.to train the fish to go to one area of the tank for food. They then took

:03:44. > :03:51.the fish away for 12 days. When the fish went back, white -- they went

:03:52. > :03:56.to the same area for their food. They actually remember. It is very

:03:57. > :04:02.excited but as everyone believes that they have a short-term memory.

:04:03. > :04:07.People think that this have a five second memory, but the reality is

:04:08. > :04:14.that fish are more complex. It shows that fish have memories for 12

:04:15. > :04:18.days, or even years. The scientists now think that the

:04:19. > :04:23.cichlids longer memory might be because they have a varied diet in

:04:24. > :04:28.the world. Remembering where certain food is has helped them survive for

:04:29. > :04:32.longer. Where did I put myself which?

:04:33. > :04:39.Now to the orchestra hitting new heights. This orchestra has singers,

:04:40. > :04:46.and violinists, and they were in a hot air balloon for the rehearsal.

:04:47. > :04:52.They hope to raise money for those affected by the floods.

:04:53. > :04:58.Make sure that you tune in at 815, when I will be talking to Gareth

:04:59. > :04:59.Malone about his new see BBC show. I will see you in
