0:00:05 > 0:00:07Afternoon everyone, Martin here with Saturday's best stories.
0:00:07 > 0:00:11Coming up: A heroes' welcome home for the Wales footy team.
0:00:11 > 0:00:16And we've got five things you probably didn't
0:00:16 > 0:00:25know about Jupiter.
0:00:25 > 0:00:25But first, Andy Murray is one win away from a second Wimbledon title.
0:00:29 > 0:00:32The British number one saw off Tomas Berdych in straight sets
0:00:32 > 0:00:34and made it through to his third Wimbledon final.
0:00:34 > 0:00:36He'll take on Milos Raonic, after the Canadian
0:00:36 > 0:00:38beat Roger Federer.
0:00:38 > 0:00:43Tomorrow will be Murray's 11th major final!
0:00:43 > 0:00:47As you get older, you never know how many chances you're going to have
0:00:47 > 0:00:50to play in a grand slam final, so you want to make
0:00:50 > 0:00:53the most of your opportunities, and I'm glad I managed
0:00:53 > 0:00:57to get through.
0:00:57 > 0:00:59And Murray isn't the only Brit in a Wimbledon final -
0:00:59 > 0:01:02Gordon Reid is through to the men's wheelchair singles final
0:01:02 > 0:01:06after he won his semi-final against Belgian Joachim Gerard
0:01:06 > 0:01:09in straight sets.
0:01:09 > 0:01:11This is the first year that Wimbledon has had a singles
0:01:11 > 0:01:13wheelchair tennis competition.
0:01:13 > 0:01:16Later today - defending women's champion Serena Williams will take
0:01:16 > 0:01:17on Angelique Kerber in the final.
0:01:17 > 0:01:21Serena's the favourite, being world number one and having
0:01:21 > 0:01:23won Wimbledon six times, while it's Kerber's
0:01:23 > 0:01:25first final there.
0:01:25 > 0:01:29But before the final gets going there will be a very important
0:01:29 > 0:01:32coin toss to see which player gets to serve first.
0:01:32 > 0:01:35Well, this year its Uma's job to toss the coin,
0:01:35 > 0:01:37which means she'll be standing on Centre Court on women's final
0:01:37 > 0:01:41day, right next to her sporting idols and I think it's safe to say
0:01:41 > 0:01:43she's pretty excited!
0:01:43 > 0:01:47It feels amazing, just incredible.
0:01:47 > 0:01:49I'm literally living a dream.
0:01:49 > 0:01:53I want to wish them good luck and hopefully
0:01:53 > 0:02:01my favourite, Serena Williams, will win.
0:02:01 > 0:02:04Now, they didn't quite reach the final - but tens of thousands
0:02:04 > 0:02:06of Welsh footy fans lined the streets of Cardiff
0:02:06 > 0:02:09to welcome the boys home after their historic journey at Euro
0:02:09 > 0:02:1116, this is what happened.
0:02:13 > 0:02:16It was a heros' welcome for the Welsh football team
0:02:16 > 0:02:19in Cardiff as a sea of fans lined the streets to
0:02:19 > 0:02:21greet them.
0:02:21 > 0:02:23They have made history and given
0:02:23 > 0:02:25people great memories.
0:02:25 > 0:02:26Proudest day of my life.
0:02:26 > 0:02:27Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
0:02:27 > 0:02:35The boys have done very well out in
0:02:35 > 0:02:37France and it is making Wales proud.
0:02:37 > 0:02:39Fans followed the celebrations every step
0:02:39 > 0:02:40of the way.
0:02:40 > 0:02:45The players thunderclapping in the sunshine.
0:02:45 > 0:02:47The party continued with a massive concert in
0:02:47 > 0:02:50the Cardiff City Stadium.
0:02:50 > 0:02:52It's great to be Welsh, isn't it?
0:02:52 > 0:02:54It doesn't come around very often.
0:02:54 > 0:02:56It's not supposed to happen to us.
0:02:56 > 0:02:57It's great.
0:02:57 > 0:02:57It's amazing.
0:02:57 > 0:02:58Brilliant, really good.
0:02:58 > 0:03:01It was the first time Wales has reached a major tournament
0:03:01 > 0:03:03in nearly 60 years.
0:03:03 > 0:03:05They made it to the semifinals of the Euros -
0:03:05 > 0:03:10the furthest they have ever got before.
0:03:10 > 0:03:13For the players it was a chance to say thank you.
0:03:13 > 0:03:16To get a welcome like this was amazing and shows how
0:03:16 > 0:03:17amazing our fans are.
0:03:17 > 0:03:19We couldn't have done it without everybody here
0:03:19 > 0:03:22and all the staff and players have been amazing and just a big thank
0:03:22 > 0:03:23you to everybody.
0:03:23 > 0:03:28It was a night Wales fans will remember for many
0:03:28 > 0:03:29years to come. will remember for many
0:03:29 > 0:03:31And up in space there's been another warm welcome -
0:03:31 > 0:03:33for three astronauts who've just reached
0:03:33 > 0:03:36the International Space Station on the Soyuz spacecraft.
0:03:36 > 0:03:42It docked smoothly earlier this morning after a two-day journey.
0:03:42 > 0:03:45The astronauts come from Russia, Japan and the US and join three
0:03:45 > 0:03:50others who are already up there.
0:03:50 > 0:03:52Nasa's Juno spacecraft started to orbit the biggest planet
0:03:52 > 0:03:57in our Solar system, Jupiter.
0:03:57 > 0:04:02It's job is to find out more about the gassy giant.
0:04:02 > 0:04:05We don't know much but here are five things that we do know
0:04:05 > 0:04:06about Jupiter.
0:04:06 > 0:04:10Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system.
0:04:10 > 0:04:13It's so big over 1000 earths would fit inside it.
0:04:13 > 0:04:16But we don't really understand how Jupiter was formed, how it was made,
0:04:16 > 0:04:21even where it was made exactly.
0:04:21 > 0:04:23And it's key to understanding that is how we understand how
0:04:23 > 0:04:25the other planets in the solar system were made.
0:04:25 > 0:04:32Jupiter has got a really strong magnetic field.
0:04:32 > 0:04:35What that means is it's got a really bright aurora, the Northern lights,
0:04:35 > 0:04:37that shine really brightly at the north and south magnetic
0:04:37 > 0:04:40poles and what we want to understand is how those are generated.
0:04:40 > 0:04:43When we look at Jupiter we see these really beautiful cloud belts,
0:04:43 > 0:04:46these horizontal bands of differnet colours and they are made up
0:04:46 > 0:04:51of different elements in the atmosphere of Jupiter.
0:04:51 > 0:04:53There is winds circling around Jupiter at over 300 mph
0:04:53 > 0:04:56and we want to understand how those winds are generated and where those
0:04:56 > 0:04:58colours are created.
0:04:58 > 0:05:04Jupiter has four large moons - Io, Callisto, Ganymede and Europa.
0:05:04 > 0:05:07Galileo was the first to spot these when he used a telescope to look
0:05:07 > 0:05:10at them 400 years ago, and even today you can see
0:05:10 > 0:05:14them just with the power of binoculars or a telescope.
0:05:14 > 0:05:17We are now able to find planets orbiting other stars and the easiest
0:05:17 > 0:05:20ones to sport are the largest ones, ones like Jupiter.
0:05:20 > 0:05:24But they are very different from Jupiter, so making sure we can
0:05:24 > 0:05:27understand Jupiter in our own solar system will help us understand,
0:05:27 > 0:05:30not only how our planets are made, but how these other planets around
0:05:30 > 0:05:37other stars are made.
0:05:37 > 0:05:40Well, when it comes to flying high, those astronauts might have a little
0:05:40 > 0:05:42bit of competition from our very own Prince George.
0:05:42 > 0:05:43Check this out.
0:05:43 > 0:05:46On a day out at an air show with his mum and dad,
0:05:46 > 0:05:49The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George didn't waste
0:05:49 > 0:05:51anytime getting on some pretty cool helicopters!
0:05:51 > 0:05:53That's all from me, your next Newsround update is at 1:40.
0:05:53 > 0:05:59See you then!
