:00:38. > :00:41.from that stadium behind me. The velodrome.

:01:00. > :01:02.To go so much quicker than I did in London is something I'm

:01:03. > :01:06.I was more consistent through the middle kilometre this

:01:07. > :01:08.morning than I was in London. More controlled.

:01:09. > :01:11.I didn't go out so controlled, a bit too quick.

:01:12. > :01:13.Earlier, Megan Giglia also won gold with a stunning

:02:28. > :02:35.Hi, Travis, welcome to the Newsround.

:02:36. > :02:38.I'm James, I'm a massive fan of your work.

:02:39. > :02:47.It centres on our boy, our hero, Kubo, he is the son of a goddess

:02:48. > :02:49.and the greatest samurai the world has ever known.

:02:50. > :02:52.And he has a mysterious past and when he accidentally summons

:02:53. > :02:54.an evil force from the past, which rains down upon him,

:02:55. > :02:56.he is forced to go on this epic quest.

:02:57. > :02:58.MONKEY: Your mother used your magic to save you.

:02:59. > :03:04.And that means you have to do as I say.

:03:05. > :03:06.This film was made using stop motion.

:03:07. > :03:13.You try to make it look like a real place.

:03:14. > :03:28.Hears about 9.5 inches tall. And then you move the puppet and take a

:03:29. > :03:34.picture and move it a bit more. When you have enough pictures, it looks

:03:35. > :03:41.like the character is moving. It was very challenging because it is a big

:03:42. > :03:46.film and you don't usually see that. We had a big skeleton monster and

:03:47. > :03:51.that is 16 feet tall. It weighs ?400. It is essentially a big

:03:52. > :04:01.puppet. You may have one frame at a time. The main puppet has a metal

:04:02. > :04:06.skeleton. It allows you to move the joints and his hands are made of

:04:07. > :04:15.wire. His hair is made of human hair. It's kind of creepy. And we

:04:16. > :04:25.have silicone through it. How much of your own life is behind the story

:04:26. > :04:34.of the film? Kubo is me, he is like an animator. Why do you prefer a

:04:35. > :04:39.stop motion over 3-D? There is something different and weird about

:04:40. > :04:44.it. It is down to the fact that the stuff we see on screen actually

:04:45. > :04:46.exists. And there is something incredibly beautiful about it.

:04:47. > :04:49.Now this is definitely no stop-motion animation -

:04:50. > :04:51.this is the Nasa Osiris-Rex spacecraft blasting off

:04:52. > :04:54.from Florida in the US, on a seven-year round trip to bring

:04:55. > :04:58.In our next Newsround update at 8:15, we'll look

:04:59. > :05:01.at just exactly how it's going to do it.
