0:00:24 > 0:00:25warm because winter
0:00:25 > 0:00:26has definitley arrived.
0:00:26 > 0:00:27Snow has been falling
0:00:27 > 0:00:28in parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales,
0:00:28 > 0:00:30and Northern England, and temperatures could
0:00:30 > 0:00:31drop to as low as -6.
0:00:31 > 0:00:34And the weather is due to get even worse on Sunday.
0:00:34 > 0:00:38Looks like it's time to get your sledges out, guys.
0:00:38 > 0:00:41Next up, US President Donald Trump has declared a state of emergency
0:00:41 > 0:00:42in Southern California because the wildfires
0:00:42 > 0:00:44are spreading fast.
0:00:44 > 0:00:53Firefighters are still having to battle
0:00:53 > 0:00:55the blazes and more than 200,000 people have had
0:00:55 > 0:00:56to leave their homes.
0:00:56 > 0:00:58Thousands of buildings have also been damaged.
0:00:58 > 0:01:00Next, if you're from a country in the European Union
0:01:00 > 0:01:03but you are living in the UK, or if you are British and living
0:01:03 > 0:01:07in a country in the European Union, we've got some big news for you.
0:01:07 > 0:01:08Here's what you need to know.
0:01:08 > 0:01:11So, the UK is leaving a club of 28 countries called the European Union.
0:01:11 > 0:01:13A lot of people have called this Brexit.
0:01:13 > 0:01:16When British people voted to leave last year, it wasn't clear
0:01:16 > 0:01:19what would happen to the 3 million people from the EU who
0:01:19 > 0:01:24live here in Britain.
0:01:24 > 0:01:26And also, what would happen to British people
0:01:26 > 0:01:31living in EU countries.
0:01:31 > 0:01:35And that got some people worried.
0:01:35 > 0:01:38But now the British government and the European Union have agreed
0:01:38 > 0:01:41that everyone will be allowed to carry on living and working
0:01:41 > 0:01:46where they are now.
0:01:46 > 0:01:49The two sides say they have also come to an agreement about
0:01:49 > 0:01:51the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
0:01:51 > 0:01:53This issue has caused big problems, and the details still
0:01:53 > 0:01:57need to be worked out.
0:01:57 > 0:01:59And finally, it has also been agreed that when the UK leaves,
0:01:59 > 0:02:02it will pay money to the EU.
0:02:02 > 0:02:05Although it is not yet known how much that will be,
0:02:05 > 0:02:11it is likely to cost tens of billions of pounds.
0:02:11 > 0:02:12So that is Brexit all sorted, then?
0:02:12 > 0:02:16Well, not quite.
0:02:16 > 0:02:19Even though the two sides have agreed on these three big issues,
0:02:19 > 0:02:22there are still loads of things we will need to sort out before
0:02:22 > 0:02:27the UK leaves the EU in 2019.
0:02:27 > 0:02:30Next to a guest who is out of this world.
0:02:30 > 0:02:32Astronaut Tim Peake came into the studio yesterday to answer
0:02:32 > 0:02:33some of your questions.
0:02:33 > 0:02:36Take a look.
0:02:36 > 0:02:39This is no longer Newsround HQ.

0:03:09 > 0:03:10Newsround HQ.
0:03:10 > 0:03:12Let's go straight in to the first question right here.
0:03:12 > 0:03:14What do you miss most about space?
0:03:14 > 0:03:15Two things, really.
0:03:15 > 0:03:17I think the first thing I miss is weightlessness, you know,
0:03:17 > 0:03:19floating around in space and the second thing
0:03:19 > 0:03:21is the view of Planet Earth.
0:03:21 > 0:03:23And I know we have a great question here
0:03:23 > 0:03:24as well.
0:03:24 > 0:03:25What's your question?
0:03:25 > 0:03:27If you were to name a new planet, what
0:03:27 > 0:03:28would you name it?
0:03:28 > 0:03:30I'd have to see it first.
0:03:30 > 0:03:32I think you've got to see something to be able to come
0:03:32 > 0:03:33up with a name.
0:03:33 > 0:03:36But, yeah, I mean, there's loads of new planets out there
0:03:36 > 0:03:38and there's loads of potential for it.
0:03:38 > 0:03:39What about you?
0:03:39 > 0:03:40What's your question?
0:03:40 > 0:03:47So, what differences in, like, experiences
0:03:47 > 0:03:49So, what differences in, like, experience is
0:03:49 > 0:03:50there from Earth's atmosphere to zero gravity?
0:03:50 > 0:03:51Wow.
0:03:51 > 0:03:53I mean, coming back into Earth's atmosphere is
0:03:53 > 0:03:54incredible.
0:03:54 > 0:03:57You get the re-entry, you get the heat, the deceleration.
0:03:57 > 0:03:58Up in space it's really liberating.
0:03:58 > 0:04:00You're just floating around and seeing the stars
0:04:00 > 0:04:02at night and the Earth by day, it's beautiful.
0:04:02 > 0:04:04I'm going to squeeze one more in.
0:04:04 > 0:04:05What's your question?
0:04:05 > 0:04:07Who or what was your inspiration to become an
0:04:07 > 0:04:08amazing astronaut?
0:04:08 > 0:04:10Well, I've had a lot of inspirational characters
0:04:10 > 0:04:13throughout my life and the first thing I wanted to do was become a
0:04:13 > 0:04:14pilot, test pilot.
0:04:14 > 0:04:16So people like Chuck Yeager and reading books
0:04:16 > 0:04:20like The Right Stuff for me was very inspirational.
0:04:20 > 0:04:23Now to a lovely tale of a police officer who rescued a dog
0:04:23 > 0:04:24after Hurricane Irma.
0:04:24 > 0:04:30He's now brought him back to the UK from the British Virgin Islands.
0:04:30 > 0:04:33Meet Buddy, the lucky labrador cross who is now living in the UK.
0:04:33 > 0:04:35Sit.
0:04:35 > 0:04:37Good boy.
0:04:37 > 0:04:39Buddy is a stray.
0:04:39 > 0:04:42He won the heart of a police officer called John Harvey.
0:04:42 > 0:04:45John was sent from Suffolk Police to the British Virgin Islands.
0:04:45 > 0:04:47He was sent there to help people after the devastation
0:04:47 > 0:04:48of Hurricane Irma.
0:04:48 > 0:04:51He put his paws around my thigh and just wouldn't let me go, really.
0:04:51 > 0:04:54So I was trying to leave, and he was walking
0:04:54 > 0:04:55with me on his back legs.
0:04:55 > 0:04:58And I just thought I'd like to bring him home, if I can,
0:04:58 > 0:05:02and give him a chance of a better life, really.
0:05:02 > 0:05:05Buddy spent 21 days in Washington DC in the US, where vets checked
0:05:05 > 0:05:07that he was healthy and fit, before he was allowed
0:05:07 > 0:05:12to travel on to the UK.
0:05:12 > 0:05:14It was fantastic, really, really good to see him.
0:05:14 > 0:05:15He was excited, I was excited.
0:05:15 > 0:05:19And it was kind of the start of the next chapter.
0:05:19 > 0:05:21The pair are now happily settling in, ready for
0:05:21 > 0:05:23new adventures together.
0:05:23 > 0:05:24But it can all get a bit exhausting.
0:05:24 > 0:05:30BUDDY SNORES.
0:05:30 > 0:05:32Finally, the Harlem Globetrotters are known for their incredible
0:05:32 > 0:05:34basketball skills and to celebrate World Trickshot Day,
0:05:34 > 0:05:37one of the players leaned from the window of a bus parked
0:05:37 > 0:05:40on the roof of an art museum in St Louis and shot a basketball
0:05:40 > 0:05:42through a hoop on the street below.
0:05:42 > 0:05:46And here's the shot.
0:05:46 > 0:05:49Amazeballs, but of course, guys, do not try this at home.
0:05:49 > 0:05:51Let's leave it to the professionals.
0:05:51 > 0:05:53That's all from me, we'll be back just after 1 o'clock.
0:05:53 > 0:05:58Bye!
