:00:11. > :00:12.Good morning - Ricky here with Wednesday's Newsround.

:00:13. > :00:14.Today we're talking about internet safety.

:00:15. > :00:18.In particular, your friends - the ones you'll spend the day

:00:19. > :00:21.with in school, and the ones some of you chat to online.

:00:22. > :00:25.In a survey carried out for Newsround, 37% of 10-12 year

:00:26. > :00:29.olds with a social media account said they'd made friends online that

:00:30. > :00:35.You've told us that you hear in school that you should never

:00:36. > :00:38.become friends with strangers online, so why are many

:00:39. > :00:48.Leah's been to ask some of you about your experiences.

:00:49. > :00:51.I was just messaging my friends and a notification popped up

:00:52. > :00:54.and it was this random person requesting to follow us.

:00:55. > :00:57.So then I declined it and they kept trying to follow us over

:00:58. > :01:03.Any friends that do approach us, I do say yes, because I know

:01:04. > :01:10.I only follow people that I like, celebrity-wise, and my friends,

:01:11. > :01:14.I'm all right if friends from friends, but...

:01:15. > :01:18.Have you ever been approached by someone you completely don't know?

:01:19. > :01:27.If it's someone I'm not actually sure about, I might click

:01:28. > :01:30.on the account to see, do I actually know this person?

:01:31. > :01:36.If I do get messages off random people, I know for a fact that I can

:01:37. > :01:40.stop it, report it and I know it will never happen again.

:01:41. > :01:45.What are your tips for staying safe online so that you can enjoy it?

:01:46. > :01:48.Don't friend random people, because it's dangerous.

:01:49. > :01:52.They might be completely different to who they say they are.

:01:53. > :01:55.Make sure that your account is on private and check it every

:01:56. > :01:57.week and if anything happens on it, I would press block

:01:58. > :02:04.Chyaz Samuel is a beauty and lifestyle vlogger,

:02:05. > :02:05.with over 12 million views on Youtube.

:02:06. > :02:18.It is really fun to make friends online, of course it is, but what

:02:19. > :02:21.can you do to try to make sure you are staying safe? Festival, be

:02:22. > :02:25.really careful about the personal details you share. Things like your

:02:26. > :02:28.address and the school you go to comedy goes to yourself. If someone

:02:29. > :02:32.as you and you don't know them, it is best to ignore it. If they keep

:02:33. > :02:39.trying, just block them. It is better to be safe than sorry. It is

:02:40. > :02:41.not just about safety. What else do you think about before you post

:02:42. > :02:44.something online? For you click that send or post button, I really read

:02:45. > :02:47.through what I have written or the video I have made and make sure I am

:02:48. > :02:52.definitely happy that people are going to see this. It is always

:02:53. > :02:55.better to be safe. You spend on all thought of time online, it has

:02:56. > :03:01.become your job to make these videos. You must have some negative

:03:02. > :03:04.experiences, too. Definitely. There I mean comments that get left on my

:03:05. > :03:08.videos, for example, but occasionally I will see that comment

:03:09. > :03:12.and I will go to a friend's channel and see the same comment. Sometimes

:03:13. > :03:20.someone just wants the reaction from you. If you just ignore that

:03:21. > :03:22.comment, they haven't won, they haven't got the reaction. Is it

:03:23. > :03:25.about ignoring it? Should these companies do more to help people? It

:03:26. > :03:27.would be nice to see, and hopefully it will happen in the future.

:03:28. > :03:30.Perhaps people who pose these comments will learn about the impact

:03:31. > :03:34.and see how negative it can be and hopefully will stop doing that.

:03:35. > :03:37.And you can find lots more advice over on the Newsround website,

:03:38. > :03:40.including top tips to staying safe on your tablet or phone,

:03:41. > :03:42.what to do if you're bullied on social media,

:03:43. > :03:45.and learn how to sing your way to creating a strong

:03:46. > :03:56.Let's look at some other news now and -

:04:27. > :04:29.money for working on a Saturday, and the new contract,

:04:31. > :04:37.Next - horses KNOW when you're happy or angry.

:04:41. > :04:44.and showed them pictures of faces to see how they reacted

:04:51. > :04:53.towards the negative face than it would towards the positive face.

:04:54. > :04:55.Secondly, we saw in the looking behaviour that whenever they saw

:04:56. > :04:58.the angry face, they would look with their left eye.
