0:00:04 > 0:00:07Good morning, Ayshah here live on CBBC, with everything you need

0:00:07 > 0:00:09to know this Friday.

0:00:09 > 0:00:11We've got some good news for dolphins.

0:00:11 > 0:00:16And the mountain biker reaching over 100 miles an hour.

0:00:24 > 0:00:27Hospitals are really busy at the moment, and lots of people

0:00:27 > 0:00:29think that's a big problem.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32So what does it mean for children who have to go there?

0:00:32 > 0:00:34Jenny's been looking into this one.

0:00:34 > 0:00:36It's the middle of winter, which means it's a very

0:00:36 > 0:00:38busy time of the year for the National Health Service,

0:00:38 > 0:00:41otherwise known as the NHS.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43People are worried it's now getting too busy

0:00:43 > 0:00:45and overcrowded in hospitals, and this means they're having

0:00:45 > 0:00:50to wait a really long time to be seen by a doctor.

0:00:50 > 0:00:54I've come to Sheffield Children's Hospital to meet a doctor who works

0:00:54 > 0:00:56in the emergency department to find out what's going on.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59Is it true, are hospitals getting busier, and especially

0:00:59 > 0:01:01at this time of year?

0:01:01 > 0:01:04Yes, they are getting busier, and year on year we see

0:01:04 > 0:01:07bigger numbers coming, but there is also an increase

0:01:07 > 0:01:09in the winter, which is part of the winter pressures,

0:01:09 > 0:01:12but we are prepared for those, we know they're coming.

0:01:12 > 0:01:13How does this affect children?

0:01:13 > 0:01:15If you're seriously injured, will you still get seen?

0:01:15 > 0:01:18Of course, we have a system called triage, which basically means

0:01:18 > 0:01:21sorting, so when you come through the door you're put

0:01:21 > 0:01:24into a category depending on how severe the nurse or doctor

0:01:24 > 0:01:27thinks your problem is.

0:01:27 > 0:01:29If you were to come to our department tomorrow

0:01:29 > 0:01:31and you were seriously ill or injured, you'd be

0:01:31 > 0:01:32seen straight away.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35If you came with a less urgent problem you might wait a while,

0:01:35 > 0:01:37but you would definitely get seen.

0:01:37 > 0:01:41OK, yes, hospitals are definitely getting busier, but that doesn't

0:01:41 > 0:01:42mean that you won't get seen.

0:01:42 > 0:01:48So what's it actually like having to come into hospital?

0:01:48 > 0:01:49Meet Lily and Jake.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52Jake had to come into hospital when he thought

0:01:52 > 0:01:53he'd broken his thumb.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55And Lily came in after getting bitten by a dog.

0:01:55 > 0:01:57What's it like coming to the hospital?

0:01:57 > 0:02:01Well, when I came there weren't too many people there,

0:02:01 > 0:02:06there were a few seats taken but generally it was quite quick.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09Within ten minutes I was into the x-ray room

0:02:09 > 0:02:12with the doctors and stuff.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15It was quite a different experience for you, though, Lily.

0:02:15 > 0:02:16Can you tell us what happened?

0:02:16 > 0:02:18I got bitten by a dog out of a car window.

0:02:18 > 0:02:22It took quite a long time to get here, then it was quite busy.

0:02:22 > 0:02:25All the chairs were full up.

0:02:25 > 0:02:29There were a lot of people there because it was on a weekend

0:02:29 > 0:02:33and it took quite a long time to get seen, but I eventually did get seen.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36So, what can be done?

0:02:36 > 0:02:38Well, the Government have been criticised by doctors,

0:02:38 > 0:02:42who argue that part of the problem is that patients who are well enough

0:02:42 > 0:02:45to leave hospital can't because they aren't being given

0:02:45 > 0:02:48enough support on the outside.

0:02:48 > 0:02:57The Government say they know that hospitals are very

0:02:57 > 0:03:00busy at the moment but that, despite this, the hospitals

0:03:00 > 0:03:01are coping pretty well.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03Rugby now, and it's the second round of the Six Nations

0:03:03 > 0:03:04matches this weekend.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06Ireland take on Italy, while the Scots have

0:03:06 > 0:03:08a tricky game in France.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11But the big game of the weekend will be England vs Wales.

0:03:11 > 0:03:13The game is being played at the Millennium Stadium,

0:03:13 > 0:03:23and the roof will be closed.

0:03:24 > 0:03:34-- the roof will be open, despite the Welsh team

0:03:35 > 0:03:36asking for it to be closed.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39Well, the England coach has this bit of banter for the Welsh side...

0:03:39 > 0:03:41Well, we're prepared for wind, we're prepared for any

0:03:41 > 0:03:44shenanigans that might go on, and we're looking forward to it.

0:03:44 > 0:03:47It's a great opportunity to play in one of the great

0:03:47 > 0:03:48stadiums of the world.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50You know, they're a cunning lot, the Welsh, aren't they?

0:03:50 > 0:03:52They always have been, and now they've got goats,

0:03:52 > 0:03:55they've got daffodils, they got everything, so who knows.

0:03:55 > 0:03:56Who knows.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59While we're talking sport, here's a big update for you on the sheep

0:03:59 > 0:04:00shearing world championships - yes, that's right...

0:04:00 > 0:04:02The competition is made up of categories including

0:04:02 > 0:04:04traditional blade shearing, machine shearing and wool handling.

0:04:04 > 0:04:06The event is taking place in a country well-known

0:04:06 > 0:04:09for it's sheep, New Zealand, but people from all around

0:04:09 > 0:04:10the world are taking part.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12The final will be held on Saturday night.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15Next, imagine if you had to climb 800 metres to get to your home

0:04:15 > 0:04:17on the top of a huge cliff?!

0:04:17 > 0:04:20That's what these kids have to do, but a giant staircase

0:04:20 > 0:04:21is making a huge difference.

0:04:21 > 0:04:23Welcome to the village of Atuleer.

0:04:23 > 0:04:29Seems like a peaceful place to live, right?

0:04:29 > 0:04:32It's in the Sichuan province of China, but it's had a bit

0:04:32 > 0:04:34of an awkward problem - how do you get to

0:04:34 > 0:04:35the clifftop village?

0:04:35 > 0:04:36It's an epic adventure.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39People used to have to climb 800 metres up the cliff,

0:04:39 > 0:04:41with only these rickety ladders to help them.

0:04:41 > 0:04:43It wasn't easy, or that safe.

0:04:43 > 0:04:48But things are on the way up, quite literally.

0:04:48 > 0:04:52Steel staircases have been built all the way to the village.

0:04:52 > 0:04:55Villagers say it's a big help, much safer, and they hope tourists

0:04:55 > 0:05:00will come and pay them a visit, too.

0:05:00 > 0:05:02Some very good news for dolphins now.

0:05:02 > 0:05:04Big numbers of them have been spotted off

0:05:04 > 0:05:05the west coast of Scotland.

0:05:05 > 0:05:07Conservationists have been been tracking the animals as part

0:05:07 > 0:05:09of a survey to learn more about them.

0:05:09 > 0:05:11But they don't yet know why their numbers have

0:05:11 > 0:05:14increased by so much.

0:05:14 > 0:05:16To the super-speedy man who's broken his own mountain

0:05:16 > 0:05:17biking downhill record.

0:05:17 > 0:05:20Markus Stokl managed to reach a speed of just

0:05:20 > 0:05:22over 104 miles an hour - that's faster than a car is allowed

0:05:22 > 0:05:28to travel on the roads in the UK.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31He's certainly braver than me!

0:05:31 > 0:05:34Finally, say hello to this little fella.

0:05:34 > 0:05:38He's a rare baby antelope who was born at Chester zoo.

0:05:38 > 0:05:40His name is Thanos and he's one of the world's smallest

0:05:40 > 0:05:41breeds of antelope.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44Sadly his mum died when she was giving birth,

0:05:44 > 0:05:48so now staff are raising him.

0:05:48 > 0:05:51That's all from me and the team this morning, Ricky's back at 4:20pm

0:05:51 > 0:05:53with your afternoon Newsround.

0:05:53 > 0:05:59See you!
