0:00:07 > 0:00:10Hi, I'm Martin with your final Newsround update this Saturday.

0:00:10 > 0:00:14Here's what I've got for you in the next few minutes.

0:00:14 > 0:00:19Why these kids are feeling rough after a sleepover with a difference.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22Plus, the robot who had a very bad first day at work.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25Keep watching.

0:00:34 > 0:00:37First up, to the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, and a big well done

0:00:37 > 0:00:39to Millie Knight who has bagged Paralympic GB's first

0:00:39 > 0:00:42medal of the Games.

0:00:42 > 0:00:44Visually impaired Millie and her guide, Brett Wild, won

0:00:44 > 0:00:52silver in the downhill ski event.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54Before they headed to Korea, we caught up with the pair

0:00:54 > 0:00:57to find out more about how they work together.

0:00:57 > 0:00:58What is it like skiing visually impaired?

0:00:58 > 0:01:01I would say it is much easier that I cannot see.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04I ski with Brett who skis in front of me and we talk

0:01:04 > 0:01:07all the way down the mountain, you know, what the snow is like,

0:01:07 > 0:01:10what the terrain is like, and then I will say whether we're

0:01:10 > 0:01:12going too quickly or too slowly.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15The way it works, we are attached by a Bluetooth headset and I wear

0:01:15 > 0:01:17a bright orange jacket which stands out.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19I tell Millie everything I can see, what is coming up,

0:01:19 > 0:01:22a change in terrain, a change in the course,

0:01:22 > 0:01:25and Millie feeds back if I'm skiing too fast or too slow,

0:01:25 > 0:01:27if she can see me.

0:01:27 > 0:01:29Is it true your mum was your first guide?

0:01:29 > 0:01:30Yeah, she was my first guide.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33We actually won a bronze, which was really exciting but we got

0:01:33 > 0:01:36disqualified in all the others, but that is fine, we will

0:01:36 > 0:01:40concentrate on the bronze.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43What happened to her?

0:01:43 > 0:01:45My coach said I needed someone more permanent-slash-faster.

0:01:45 > 0:01:50How do you feel just before a race?

0:01:50 > 0:01:53Brett is normally much better in the start gate than me.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56He's very calm and relaxed.

0:01:56 > 0:02:00We talk through the course a lot.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03Yes, I keep making sure Millie is OK because she goes quite quiet

0:02:03 > 0:02:04sometimes in the start gate.

0:02:04 > 0:02:09Because Millie is such a big Script fan, she stands

0:02:09 > 0:02:12in the start gate and says, I can be the greatest,

0:02:12 > 0:02:16I can be the best, I can be the King Kong banging on my chest.

0:02:16 > 0:02:17That is Millie's thing now.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19What message would you have for other people with

0:02:19 > 0:02:20a visual impairment?

0:02:20 > 0:02:24For me, losing my sight is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

0:02:24 > 0:02:26Through that, I have got in the sport, which has totally

0:02:26 > 0:02:27built me as a person.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30I have so much more confidence through skiing, I have made

0:02:30 > 0:02:33new friends and been to amazing places, and really, without sport,

0:02:33 > 0:02:34I would not have done that.

0:02:34 > 0:02:37Give any sport a go, it does not matter which sport

0:02:37 > 0:02:41you do, just try it.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44Next, after the cold weather and snow of the last few weeks,

0:02:44 > 0:02:46many of us have been thinking about how to help people

0:02:46 > 0:02:48who are homeless.

0:02:48 > 0:02:50Newsround went to meet a group of students who've been getting

0:02:50 > 0:02:53a small taste of what it's like to sleep rough.

0:02:53 > 0:02:54Ladies first.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56OK.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59I was supposed to go first, and you said ladies...

0:02:59 > 0:03:00Ladies first, on about myself.

0:03:00 > 0:03:04Oh!

0:03:04 > 0:03:07They are having a mass sleep out in solidarity with young people that

0:03:07 > 0:03:09find themselves homeless.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12We cannot replicate what homeless people have to go through,

0:03:12 > 0:03:14because nobody should have to go through that, but we're

0:03:14 > 0:03:18sleeping on the floor, and the heating is off,

0:03:18 > 0:03:22no phones, no MP3 players, none of that.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25I think the most challenging thing happening tonight

0:03:25 > 0:03:29is sleeping on the ground, because like most people, I am

0:03:29 > 0:03:31most used to sleeping on a bed.

0:03:31 > 0:03:36I think the most challenging thing for me is trying to keep warm.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39Tonight, the thing that I'm going to miss the most is my family,

0:03:39 > 0:03:41because I usually have them there.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44I think the students will get a really small flavour of what it

0:03:44 > 0:03:46might be like to sleep without their home comforts,

0:03:46 > 0:03:48put themselves in the shoes of someone who is experiencing life

0:03:48 > 0:03:50on the streets.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53I cannot wait till the morning because I am not going to wake up.

0:03:53 > 0:03:54It is too early.

0:03:54 > 0:04:01And it is the weekend.

0:04:07 > 0:04:10On a scale of one to ten, it was one, it was awful,

0:04:10 > 0:04:13it was freezing cold, I was hungry.

0:04:13 > 0:04:14I was about three.

0:04:14 > 0:04:17I was minus five.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21I think if I was uncomfortable inside, and on a cold wooden floor,

0:04:21 > 0:04:24then how is it for them, when they do not have

0:04:24 > 0:04:28any sort of shelter?

0:04:28 > 0:04:31It is going to be ten times, even a hundred times harder

0:04:31 > 0:04:34on people that are sleeping outside with no home, no room, no shelter.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37More people should be taking the time to talk to them and try

0:04:37 > 0:04:40and get them out of homelessness.

0:04:40 > 0:04:43I think it has given me the best insight because there is no other

0:04:43 > 0:04:49experience to make you feel what they are feeling.

0:04:49 > 0:04:53Next, to the English Premier League, and the big game happening right now

0:04:53 > 0:04:56between Manchester United and their fierce rivals Liverpool.

0:04:56 > 0:05:01When these two sides meet it's always a big game,

0:05:01 > 0:05:03but this particular match is extra important because Liverpool

0:05:03 > 0:05:07are just two points behind the Manchester side in the league.

0:05:07 > 0:05:11A win for Jose Mourinho's United will put them in second place.

0:05:11 > 0:05:15The score at the moment is 2-0 to Manchester United.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18It is actually half-time at the moment.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21Finally, spare a thought for Flippy the robot who's had a very bad

0:05:21 > 0:05:23start to his new job.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25The burger-flipping bot was making meals at a restaurant in California.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27But he was fired on his very first day.

0:05:27 > 0:05:29Poor Flippy was too slow!

0:05:29 > 0:05:31But it's not the end for our mechanical friend.

0:05:31 > 0:05:36He's being reprogrammed, and bosses hope to bring him back soon.

0:05:36 > 0:05:38Head online for more top stories, and find out how Luke Skywalker

0:05:38 > 0:05:41helped to encourage a young Star Wars fan to decide

0:05:41 > 0:05:45what to wear to school.

0:05:45 > 0:05:46Pretty cool.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49That's your lot today from me and the rest of the Newsround team.

0:05:49 > 0:05:50Have a great afternoon.

0:05:50 > 0:05:55Ayshah's here tomorrow.
