:00:15. > :00:22.where you are, because here's what's coming up. Should energy drinks be

:00:22. > :00:28.banned for kids? A devastating flood sweeping away everything in its

:00:28. > :00:33.path.s this Newsround. -- path. This is Newsround. First to the big calls

:00:33. > :00:36.to ban you from being able to buy energy drinks. A top professor says

:00:36. > :00:40.the amount of caffeine in certain drinks is too much for young people

:00:40. > :00:44.and could be affecting your body and brain more than you realise.

:00:44. > :00:49.Professor Mike Lean says much stricter rules are needed. Children

:00:49. > :00:53.going to buy alcohol is forbidden because it's banned for them and

:00:53. > :00:59.they're not permitted to drink it. Perhaps the same approach should be

:00:59. > :01:04.used for highly calf nated drinks. Here are the facts - they typically

:01:04. > :01:13.contain around 80 milligrammes of caffeine in a 250 millimetre can.

:01:14. > :01:18.That is three cans of coke. A lot of the new drinks come in 500

:01:18. > :01:21.millimetres. The British Soft Drinks Association say the official advice

:01:21. > :01:25.is they should not be sold to children. I've been chatting to some

:01:25. > :01:31.school kids to mind out what they think. How do you feel when you

:01:31. > :01:35.drink them? You feel more awake, so you drink them in the morning.

:01:35. > :01:40.have them once or twice or three times a week? Three. I know it's bad

:01:40. > :01:44.for you. It makes your heart do all sorts, but I ignore it because it

:01:44. > :01:49.don't make a difference to me. would you feel if grown-ups told you

:01:49. > :01:53.you're not allowed to drink them? wouldn't be happy about it, but

:01:53. > :01:57.there's always others drinks we can have. Next, to China, where the

:01:57. > :02:00.country's coming to terms with the worst flooding in 50 years. So far,

:02:00. > :02:10.40 people are believed to have been killed and thousands more left

:02:10. > :02:10.

:02:10. > :02:14.homeless. This was the moment an entire factory was swept away.

:02:14. > :02:21.Demolished by some of the most powerful floodwaters China's ever

:02:21. > :02:24.witnessed. Here a road bridge near Jiangyou City was zrieed.

:02:24. > :02:31.Devastation caused by several days of rain battering the province in

:02:31. > :02:35.the south-west of the country. This is the rainy season and the rescue

:02:35. > :02:42.teams were prepared for flooding. But this was beyond what anybody

:02:42. > :02:46.expected. 40 are feared dead. Tens of thousands of others forced to

:02:46. > :02:51.leave their homes as buildings are sucked into the muddy waters or

:02:51. > :02:56.destroyed by landslides. Many are still missing, with more rain set to

:02:56. > :03:01.fall over the coming days. There is no sign yet of the devastating flow

:03:01. > :03:04.stopping any time soon. Next, cricket fans were hoping for

:03:04. > :03:08.the glorious summer of British sporting success to continue today,

:03:08. > :03:14.but the first day of Ashes action hasn't gone to plan. England captain

:03:14. > :03:19.Alastair Cook was out for 13 and star batsman, Kevin Pietersen for

:03:19. > :03:24.14. England have only scored 201, with sex men already out and the

:03:24. > :03:29.Aussies are yet to bat. There's more on what the Ashes are all about

:03:29. > :03:35.later. There is a special guide over on the website. Now, to the familiar

:03:35. > :03:38.Is competition. It's day three of our final. So far, we have seen a

:03:38. > :03:44.magnetic walking stick and a bunk-bed box. The judges will choose

:03:44. > :03:52.the winner right here on Friday, so take it away team three. It's the

:03:52. > :04:00.half-way point. Team three are pitching to our panel of judges.

:04:00. > :04:06.Meet brothers Matt and Louis from St Job's C of E Primary in Kent and

:04:06. > :04:13.their friend. We keep on seeing people struggling with their

:04:13. > :04:19.swimming hats. The swim crown is designed to tackle a classic

:04:19. > :04:28.poolside problem. If you've got long hair then putting on a cap can take

:04:28. > :04:37.quite a while. She tries to put on the hat with our invention. Using

:04:37. > :04:39.the simple metal ring, it solves the problem.

:04:39. > :04:42.APPLAUSE 12 million people are regular

:04:42. > :04:48.swimmers in the UK, so there are a lot of people who need the swimming

:04:48. > :04:51.crown. This invention will help so many people.

:04:51. > :04:57.APPLAUSE Well done to team three. Another

:04:57. > :05:01.strong pitch. We'll go to the questions from our judges. Guys,

:05:01. > :05:04.congratulations again. Very strong presentation. I have to say this one

:05:04. > :05:09.really caught my eye. I've got a little boy who loves swimming and

:05:09. > :05:14.when he was younger he had really curly, long hair and it was a

:05:14. > :05:20.nightmare putting that on. I can really see the benefits of that. Fan

:05:20. > :05:23.taste tick and -- fantastic and clever idea. I was thinking about

:05:23. > :05:29.blokes and rock stars with long hair, so in that respect I was

:05:29. > :05:39.wondering if maybe we could get a rock star to try it out. I'll tuck

:05:39. > :05:42.

:05:42. > :05:44.that in. Got to get the bits now. It's working. Look at that.

:05:44. > :05:52.APPLAUSE Tomorrow, it's our final pitch. Team
