:00:00. > :00:00.Hi, guys - Ricky here with the hidden mystery under Stonehenge on

:00:07. > :00:09.the way. Plus, find out if giant golf clubs or

:00:10. > :00:19.jumping cats made it into the latest book of world records.

:00:20. > :00:22.But first to major efforts to rescue hundreds of thousands of people left

:00:23. > :00:26.stranded by floods in India and Pakistan. Some areas have

:00:27. > :00:31.experienced the worst flooding for 50 years, with heavy rain destroying

:00:32. > :00:39.roads and houses. Over 400 people have died and more than half a

:00:40. > :00:44.million have been told they may have to leave their homes. The BBC's

:00:45. > :00:53.Andrew North has been finding out what's being done to help people.

:00:54. > :00:59.We are now on one of the rescue boats trying to evacuate people from

:01:00. > :01:04.these outlying villages before the waters rise too high. This team is

:01:05. > :01:08.from the local government. They have been hard at it for days. This is

:01:09. > :01:14.farming area where they grow rice and sugar cane. It has been turned

:01:15. > :01:22.into one giant lake. This village has been cut off for days. Women and

:01:23. > :01:26.children go first. The boats keep going out and finding more people

:01:27. > :01:31.trapped by the rising waters. And this is what they are worried

:01:32. > :01:38.about. This vast surge of water. Where I am right now is the last

:01:39. > :01:41.line of defence. But the levels of water rising so fast, they are

:01:42. > :01:44.worried if this could get overwhelmed as well. In the

:01:45. > :01:48.meantime, hundreds of people are leaving. They are taking everything

:01:49. > :01:54.with them. It is becoming a mass exodus.

:01:55. > :01:57.Join me back here at quarter past eight to see how emergency

:01:58. > :01:59.helicopters are being used to help people in India.

:02:00. > :02:02.Next to that big vote on whether Scotland should become independent

:02:03. > :02:06.from the rest of the UK. Newsround's on a special road trip to see what

:02:07. > :02:09.kids across the country think ahead of the historic decision next week.

:02:10. > :02:11.And this morning, Martin's in a place with very mixed emotions about

:02:12. > :02:25.Good morning, Ricky. With eight days until the people of Scotland decide

:02:26. > :02:31.whether to become an independent country or remain part of the UK, I

:02:32. > :02:38.have come to the Scottish Borders. Right now I am sitting in England. A

:02:39. > :02:42.couple of yards behind me you can see a stone which says Scotland. On

:02:43. > :02:48.the other side of the stone you are in Scotland. Independence would mean

:02:49. > :02:52.big changes for the Scots and it would have a massive impact on the

:02:53. > :02:56.rest of the UK. We caught up with some kids from England, Wales and

:02:57. > :03:03.Northern Ireland to see what they think.

:03:04. > :03:07.Scotland have been with us for a long time. If they went independent

:03:08. > :03:12.it would seem a bit strange that Scotland was not part of the UK. It

:03:13. > :03:19.is good they get to decide their future. Not very happy because my

:03:20. > :03:26.aunt and uncle live in Scotland. Might be good for them but may be

:03:27. > :03:31.bad for us. It is up to Scots to decide but I would like it if they

:03:32. > :03:37.stayed with us. I'm kind of in between because Scotland is one of

:03:38. > :03:41.England's best trade partners. If they leave, I am not really

:03:42. > :03:50.bothered. I'd already know much about them. So if they leave I don't

:03:51. > :03:57.really care. Scotland was leaving, say I had a family Ennis-Hill and

:03:58. > :04:02.one of my family was leaving, and never came back, that is not a

:04:03. > :04:07.family. I think you would miss Scotland as it is a very cool place.

:04:08. > :04:09.It is what they think. They have the right to say they want to leave or

:04:10. > :04:18.stay. Anything could happen really. Archaeologists have discovered

:04:19. > :04:20.hidden monuments below the surface of the ancient structure. Using

:04:21. > :04:23.special equipment which scans below the Earth's surface, experts were

:04:24. > :04:25.able to find evidence of 17 previously unknown wooden or stone

:04:26. > :04:28.structures as well as dozens of burial mounds. The four-year study

:04:29. > :04:34.is the largest ground survey of its 5,000 years old - did not stand

:04:35. > :04:36.alone. Now, get ready for the weird and the

:04:37. > :04:39.wonderful, because Guinness book of World Records is celebrating its

:04:40. > :04:41.60th birthday in style. The 2015 edition includes entries for the

:04:42. > :04:43.world's smallest caravan, the longest golf club and a woman with

:04:44. > :05:01.the biggest collection of plastic
