:00:28. > :00:30.of pressure because of some terrible things he's said about women.

:00:31. > :00:33.One of these two people will be the next President

:00:34. > :00:36.of the United States, one of the most important

:00:37. > :00:44.They are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

:00:45. > :00:46.Last night was the second of three TV debates where they argued

:00:47. > :00:49.against each other, trying to persuade the American people

:00:50. > :00:52.to vote for them next month in an election to decide who takes

:00:53. > :01:00.Over the weekend a tape from 10 years ago was made public

:01:01. > :01:04.where Mr Trump said awful things about women and how he treats them.

:01:05. > :01:07.He apologised, but many people were waiting to see what he would do

:01:08. > :01:16.The TV debate started awkwardly with both candidates not

:01:17. > :01:19.even shaking hands - that's very unusual.

:01:20. > :01:21.The first question was about the big issue -

:01:22. > :01:29.I didn't say that at all, I don't think you understand.

:01:30. > :01:36.I apologise to my family, I apologise to the Amercian people.

:01:37. > :01:44.But Mrs Clinton it showed he wasn't fit to be President.

:01:45. > :01:48.And he has said that the video doesn't represent who he is,

:01:49. > :01:51.but I think it's clear to anyone who heard it that it

:01:52. > :01:56.In the end, the two were asked to say one positive

:01:57. > :02:01.Hillary Clinton said she admired Donald Trump's children.

:02:02. > :02:04.He said he respected the fact she never gives up.

:02:05. > :02:07.There's less than a month to go until the election,

:02:08. > :02:09.which will give one of them one of the most

:02:10. > :02:15.And there's loads more about the United States Presidential

:02:19. > :02:25.Back here, the nights are drawing in, there's

:02:26. > :02:29.a slight chill in the air - autumn has arrived.

:02:30. > :02:31.But what does that mean for animals who hibernate

:02:32. > :02:34.Well, over in Bristol, tortoise owners have been

:02:35. > :02:39.getting their pets ready for the big winter sleep.

:02:40. > :02:41.Meet Fred, she's 40 years young, likes lettuce, and lives

:02:42. > :02:47.And here's Alfie, he's a youngster at 24, also likes

:02:48. > :02:53.lettuce, and enjoys a life of luxury in Gloucestershire.

:02:54. > :03:03.He has his own bedroom with his own light,

:03:04. > :03:07.and I feed him regularly, hand fed, just to make sure he's fine.

:03:08. > :03:09.These two are joining lots of fellow tortoises here in Bristol

:03:10. > :03:12.for their big winter weigh-in - a check-up to make sure they're

:03:13. > :03:16.First off, they're given the once-over by a vet.

:03:17. > :03:19.We're checking their eyes to make sure their eyes are nice and clear.

:03:20. > :03:23.Checking their nose to make sure they have not got a runny nose.

:03:24. > :03:31.You can just about see inside that mouth to make sure it's nice

:03:32. > :03:36.Full marks for both Fred and Alfie here.

:03:37. > :03:38.Next, they get mesured and weighed to make

:03:39. > :03:39.sure they're healthy for their size.

:03:40. > :03:45.Once again, Fred and Alfie are in top shape!

:03:46. > :03:48.They can look forward to a nice sleep this winter.

:03:49. > :03:56.In the wild they would hibernate for perhaps two to 12 weeks.

:03:57. > :04:00.A lot of people in this country presume that they can put them down

:04:01. > :04:03.for six months, which is not a good idea.

:04:04. > :04:06.By doing this, we can put them right and check on the tortoises before

:04:07. > :04:10.So, these two are all ready for bed, it's time to say good

:04:11. > :04:19.OK, time for a quick round-up of today's top sport stories now.

:04:20. > :04:21.Wales made a strong start to their World Cup qualifying

:04:22. > :04:24.campaign last night with this from superstar Gareth Bale.

:04:25. > :04:26.But it didn't last because Georgia scored an equaliser

:04:27. > :04:36.The game ended 1-1 with Wales now third in their group.

:04:37. > :04:39.But above them in second place is the Republic of Ireland,

:04:40. > :04:41.who beat Moldova 3-1 in their qualifier -

:04:42. > :04:47.two James McClean goals helped sealed the Irish team's victory.

:04:48. > :04:50.And in tennis, Andy Murray's won his fifth title so far this season -

:04:51. > :04:53.he beat Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to win the China

:04:54. > :04:57.Andy's hoping this win and triumphs at Wimbledon and the Olympics

:04:58. > :04:59.earlier this year will help him overtake Novak Djokovic

:05:00. > :05:06.He's won 40 titles so far and he wants more.

:05:07. > :05:16.As you get older and experience winning, obviously you want to

:05:17. > :05:19.continue doing that. I'm glad I managed to get to 40, it has been

:05:20. > :05:23.the best year of my career and the next target is to try to get to 50,

:05:24. > :05:25.which is going to be hard, but I will go for it.

:05:26. > :05:28.And finally think back to the summer - do you remember

:05:29. > :05:31.Well, the annual Big Butterfly Count has recorded its lowest

:05:32. > :05:33.number of common species since records began.

:05:34. > :05:35.Scientists say the low number of butterflies is "a shock

:05:36. > :05:38.and a mystery" because this summer was warmer than average

:05:39. > :05:40.and much drier in England than previous years like 2012,
