:00:00. > :00:07.You're live with me, Jenny, bringing you all of today's top stories.

:00:08. > :00:17.I don't think this one species should be kept in captivity.

:00:18. > :00:19.Find out what Steve Backshall is talking about and why.

:00:20. > :00:30.And keep watching to see possibly the worst penalty ever.

:00:31. > :00:33.First, a famous animal park has announced it's making changes to

:00:34. > :00:37.the killer whale displays at one of its sites in America.

:00:38. > :00:42.The decision by SeaWorld comes after years of pressure from campaigners

:00:43. > :00:44.who say making the animals perform for people is cruel.

:00:45. > :00:56.These dramatic displays have amazed thousands of visitors to SeaWorld

:00:57. > :01:01.parks in the United States for decades. But the shows haven't

:01:02. > :01:04.always pleased everyone. Animal rights campaigners say keeping

:01:05. > :01:10.killer whales for entertainment is cruel and unnecessary. And now it

:01:11. > :01:16.seems change is coming at one of SeaWorld's parks in California. In

:01:17. > :01:19.201, we will launch an all-new Orca experience. It is going to be

:01:20. > :01:21.focused more on the national setting, natural environment, and

:01:22. > :01:23.also the natural behaviours of the whale. It

:01:24. > :01:28.also the natural behaviours of the conservation message. So why the

:01:29. > :01:33.change now? SeaWorld has suffered from a dip in visitor numbers across

:01:34. > :01:38.all of its parks in America, since the release of a documentary film

:01:39. > :01:45.two years ago which claimed the whales were unhappy being kept in

:01:46. > :01:50.such small tanks. Many celebrities, including One Direction, have spoken

:01:51. > :01:55.out about keeping killer whales in captivity too. Peta is calling on

:01:56. > :01:59.SeaWorld to do the right thing to stop breeding Orcas and start

:02:00. > :02:03.construction on coastal sanctuaries, which will allow these Orcas to

:02:04. > :02:08.engage in behaviours that are naturally important to them.

:02:09. > :02:12.SeaWorld has told the BBC that the killer whale displays will continue

:02:13. > :02:16.at its other theme parks in Texas and Florida. This means the fight

:02:17. > :02:18.over the future of these creatures will continue too.

:02:19. > :02:20.Well, SeaWorld say they work hard to look after their killer whales,

:02:21. > :02:24.But a lot of campaigners say they just don't belong in captivity.

:02:25. > :02:27.One person who agrees with that is CBBC widlife presenter Steve

:02:28. > :02:39.Orca are the world's largest species of dolphin and they have a very big

:02:40. > :02:43.brain. They are very intelligent. They are really social with the

:02:44. > :02:49.other members of their pod, which usually are members of their own

:02:50. > :02:52.family. Family. It has also been shown that they will grieve their

:02:53. > :02:56.dead and grieve when their calves are removed from them to be taken

:02:57. > :03:00.into captivity this. Is a creature that could travel 100 miles in a

:03:01. > :03:04.day, that's like swimming from London to Birmingham, every day. So

:03:05. > :03:08.if you were to take an organise ka and stick it into essentially a

:03:09. > :03:13.large swimming pool, it would be like having us locked into a bedroom

:03:14. > :03:17.for the rest of our life with one single song in the background being

:03:18. > :03:20.played on loop over and over again, never able to communicate with other

:03:21. > :03:24.members of friends and family. I don't think this one species should

:03:25. > :03:26.be kept in captivity. Thank you Steve.

:03:27. > :03:29.Next to a big cheating scandal in athletics that could mean one

:03:30. > :03:31.of the world's biggest countries is banned from the next Olympics.

:03:32. > :03:34.A new report claims Russia has been giving some

:03:35. > :03:36.of its athletes an unfair advantage by using drugs to help them perform

:03:37. > :03:39.The organisation behind the report is recommending

:03:40. > :03:43.the country's athletics team should be banned from future events,

:03:44. > :03:45.including the Rio Olympics, until it cleans up its act.

:03:46. > :03:48.Russia has denied doing anything wrong, and any decision on what

:03:49. > :04:02.The public and the media have to have confidence that we are at least

:04:03. > :04:08.pursuing as hard as we can. We might never catch all the cheats, I don't

:04:09. > :04:12.think we ever will, but we are pursuing that process as hard as we

:04:13. > :04:16.can. But when they are caught they are sanged and they serve a penalty.

:04:17. > :04:21.The idea that somehow tests are being thrown away or there's a delay

:04:22. > :04:23.in sanctioning certain athletes, for whatever reason, is unacceptable.

:04:24. > :04:25.You can find out all about how athletes are drug tested

:04:26. > :04:30.And while you're there check out two cool space stories about Pluto's ice

:04:31. > :04:33.moons, and how the Northern Lights look from other planets.

:04:34. > :04:37.Plus find out how to vote in our big bullying debate.

:04:38. > :04:39.Before I go, you can decide on whether this is

:04:40. > :04:44.It happened in a Highland League game in Scotland.

:04:45. > :04:47.Luckily this guy's team, Brora Rangers, still won.

:04:48. > :04:52.But that, my friend, is pretty hard to live down.
