:00:08. > :00:12.Hi, I'm Ayshah with your afternoon Newsround - today, we'll bring you

:00:13. > :00:21.British heartbreak on the slopes of Sochi. I am here, where families are

:00:22. > :00:25.having to leave their homes because the floodwaters keep rising. First,

:00:26. > :00:29.to what could be the wettest winter for 250 years. Severe flooding has

:00:30. > :00:32.led to more than 1,000 homes being evacuated in the south-east of

:00:33. > :00:36.England and thousands more are at serious risk. The army has been

:00:37. > :00:41.brought in to help out as record water levels continue to rise in the

:00:42. > :00:44.Thames Valley. With more rain on the way this week, the Prime Minister

:00:45. > :00:48.said the floods were a huge challenge and that "we are in it for

:00:49. > :00:52.a long haul" but many of those affected by the floods believe more

:00:53. > :00:55.should be done to help. Most of the severe flood warnings, meaning

:00:56. > :01:00.there's a danger to life, are in the Thames Valley in the south east of

:01:01. > :01:07.England. One of the worst-hit places is the village of Wraysbury, from

:01:08. > :01:11.where Nel sent us this report. I am here in a small village in the

:01:12. > :01:17.south-east of England that has been devastated with the local flooding.

:01:18. > :01:22.Behind me, this is actually a playground, behind that some fields

:01:23. > :01:27.which are merged and water. Today the emergency services have been out

:01:28. > :01:33.and about, fire trucks and the army, I have even seen RSPCA officers

:01:34. > :01:38.doing what they can to help. Bags of sand have been put in people's

:01:39. > :01:43.doorways to keep the water out as much as possible. The local

:01:44. > :01:49.community have come together, lots of volunteers trying to help guide

:01:50. > :01:53.people to places of safety. I will be sticking about to find out how

:01:54. > :01:57.the locals cope with such a devastating situation.

:01:58. > :02:01.Next, to the Winter Olympics in Sochi where there was heartbreak for

:02:02. > :02:04.Team GB's Katie Summerhayes who made it to the slopestyle skiing final

:02:05. > :02:06.this morning. The 18-year-old did brilliantly to qualify in third

:02:07. > :02:10.position but couldn't repeat the performance in the final, taking a

:02:11. > :02:20.tumble in the first of her two runs meaning she could only finish in

:02:21. > :02:24.seventh place overall. I was gutted. I skied well in

:02:25. > :02:36.qualification which made me feel well, but I am gutted with my

:02:37. > :02:39.result. Everyone has falls, and I made two massive mistakes.

:02:40. > :02:44.It's Safer Internet Day today and the idea is to make the web a nicer

:02:45. > :02:47.place to be for you guys. But smartphones and social networks are

:02:48. > :02:50.changing how young people are being bullied. The children's charity

:02:51. > :02:54.NSPCC says over a third of kids have been bullied online, and it can be a

:02:55. > :02:56.really upsetting thing to deal with. This afternoon Newsround has a

:02:57. > :03:05.special programme looking at the problem. I got a notification on my

:03:06. > :03:09.phone, I wasn't sure if it was a sick joke. Everybody has a

:03:10. > :03:14.smartphone and it is always there, you cannot get away with it. Don't

:03:15. > :03:24.retaliate because they want to see how they got to you. With me here on

:03:25. > :03:27.the sofa is anti-bullying campaigner Alex Holmes. So online bullying can

:03:28. > :03:31.be really tough - how do you go about dealing with it? Don't suffer

:03:32. > :03:35.in silence. Reported, things will get better. A BBC poll has shown

:03:36. > :03:38.that one in five kids have been upset by something they've seen

:03:39. > :03:42.online, twice the number that parents thought. How can you speak

:03:43. > :03:45.to your parents about this if they don't know as much about the

:03:46. > :03:50.internet as you? I had to teach my mum and my grandma. You have got to

:03:51. > :03:55.become an expert yourself, then teach your parents so they can

:03:56. > :04:03.become an expert and it will be fun. Why do bullies do it? Good

:04:04. > :04:08.question, I was bullied myself and I don't know why. There is no excuse

:04:09. > :04:13.for bullying and it shouldn't happen. If you're having this

:04:14. > :04:18.problem, who should you speak to? Remember, you are not alone. There

:04:19. > :04:24.are lots of people you can speak to, it could be your month, the dinner

:04:25. > :04:29.lady, ora website full of resources and advice. Just look around and

:04:30. > :04:38.speak out, there will be people who can listen and help. Head to our

:04:39. > :04:42.website for loads more information on how to stay safe online, with

:04:43. > :04:44.advice and a quiz too. And you can catch Cyberbullying, a Newsround

:04:45. > :04:48.special, this afternoon at 5.25pm right here on CBBC. It will also be

:04:49. > :04:51.on iPlayer too. That's all we've got time for, but Newsround's back this

:04:52. > :04:54.evening at 6.50pm where we're hoping to hear from the Britain's Got

:04:55. > :05:00.Talent judges! See you.
