0:00:28 > 0:00:32Pupils at one school in Bradford have been taking part in a special
0:00:32 > 0:00:36experiment to help them keep fit and healthy.
0:00:36 > 0:00:39Ayshah has more.
0:00:39 > 0:00:42Can you spot the difference in this classroom?
0:00:42 > 0:00:44How about now?
0:00:44 > 0:00:49Here in this class, it's all about...standing.
0:00:49 > 0:00:53It's part of an experiment to see if standing throughout the day,
0:00:53 > 0:00:56instead of sitting down, helps improve your health by keeping
0:00:56 > 0:00:59you more active, so how does it work?
0:00:59 > 0:01:02To go up, you push this lever and it goes up.
0:01:02 > 0:01:06To go down, you hold the lever and you push on the top of the desk.
0:01:06 > 0:01:09But you've got a chair here. So how does that work?
0:01:09 > 0:01:10You can choose to sit or stand.
0:01:10 > 0:01:13When you're standing up, you've got to put your chair to one
0:01:13 > 0:01:16side and then you put it to the right side by making
0:01:16 > 0:01:21an L-shape with your elbow and adjusting the height.

0:01:29 > 0:01:33They are more relaxing than when we had the normal desks.
0:01:33 > 0:01:35They are really awesome because you can stand up or down
0:01:35 > 0:01:39on them so you don't have to just sit down all the time
0:01:39 > 0:01:40like ordinary tables.
0:01:40 > 0:01:43I think it's good to stand up because you get exercise and you get
0:01:43 > 0:01:46to move around more.
0:01:46 > 0:01:50Standing up is exercise and sitting down is just boring.
0:01:50 > 0:01:53You just don't do any work.
0:01:53 > 0:01:56This class seem happy with them, but does standing really make that
0:01:56 > 0:01:58much of a difference?
0:01:58 > 0:02:04If you're standing up at your desk you're more likely to become a more
0:02:04 > 0:02:08active adult and stand more when you're a grown up as well,
0:02:08 > 0:02:11and we know that standing as an adult reduces the risk
0:02:11 > 0:02:14of things like type II diabetes, heart disease and of being
0:02:14 > 0:02:17overweight and obese when you're an adult.
0:02:17 > 0:02:20The stand-up sit-down desks are popular with this class
0:02:20 > 0:02:23and researchers hope to bring their idea to other schools
0:02:23 > 0:02:26across the UK.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31New research has found that lots of you get it without doing
0:02:31 > 0:02:33anything to earn it.
0:02:33 > 0:02:36Some people think it's a bad thing and pocket money is a good way
0:02:36 > 0:02:38of learning skills for the future.
0:02:38 > 0:02:42So we want to know if you do have to do jobs or chores at home
0:02:42 > 0:02:43to get your allowance?

0:03:27 > 0:03:30the lower league team.
0:03:30 > 0:03:34Smaller teams from the lower leagues pushing Premier League clubs right
0:03:34 > 0:03:37to the limit and they did that today.
0:03:37 > 0:03:39Absolute fantastic.
