:00:15. > :00:22.Coming up: Elephants are much more intelligent than we thought. And we

:00:23. > :00:25.enter the robot house. First, it's official guys, Cheryl

:00:26. > :00:29.Cole is coming back as a judge on this season's X-Factor. Simon

:00:30. > :00:32.Cowell, who'll also be back as a judge this year, confirmed the

:00:33. > :00:36.announcement online overnight. The pair fell out when Cheryl was

:00:37. > :00:40.dropped from the American version of the show. After the announcement

:00:41. > :00:43.Cheryl posted a picture of herself with Simon joking about their

:00:44. > :00:47.falling out. TV critics say it's all a big plot to try win back ratings

:00:48. > :00:49.as audience figures for the shows haven't been as good in recent

:00:50. > :01:22.years. Thanks for those and have your say

:01:23. > :01:25.on the website. Next up, let's get back to our

:01:26. > :01:29.special series all about the next wave of robots. Earlier we showed

:01:30. > :01:37.you Ricky checking out the smart house where he stayed the night to

:01:38. > :01:42.see how the technology worked. This smart house is kitted out with

:01:43. > :01:47.technology that should be able to detect how much TV I watched or if I

:01:48. > :01:53.left the cap on. The robots are on hand to remind me to call my parents

:01:54. > :01:58.or went to watch my favourite TV show. Ricky, remember to watch

:01:59. > :02:04.Newsround. I decided to spend a night here. We have got the tablet

:02:05. > :02:12.with all the data. What does it say I got up to? You were watching TV

:02:13. > :02:18.until 9:30pm. You went to sleep until 6am in the morning. Then you

:02:19. > :02:26.went to the toilet. You washed your face. And it says you had breakfast.

:02:27. > :02:31.How do you know I had breakfast? I know because the cattle was on. The

:02:32. > :02:36.more time I spend in the house the more it gets used to my daily

:02:37. > :02:42.habits. The robots can be programmed to wake me up at a certain time or

:02:43. > :02:50.to take the rubbish out. We can teach it to remind you of your

:02:51. > :02:56.favourite things. It can say remember to watch Newsround. So

:02:57. > :03:06.there we have it, my night in the robot house. So, already this week

:03:07. > :03:14.you've been sending us your designs for robots, and what they'd do. This

:03:15. > :03:21.design will detect robbers in your house. Joseph on the Isle of Man

:03:22. > :03:26.sent this one in which will rescue fish. And Erica has designed this

:03:27. > :03:32.one to remind elderly people to do their chores. The website will have

:03:33. > :03:36.plenty more of your brilliant designs and you can e-mail us yours

:03:37. > :03:39.as well. Andy Murray will face Milos Raonic

:03:40. > :03:42.in the fourth round of the Masters Tennis at Indian Wells in

:03:43. > :03:46.California, after a tough win over over Yiri Vesely. The Wimbledon

:03:47. > :03:50.champ, who's never won this tournament, was a set and a break

:03:51. > :03:54.down against the 20-year-old Czech but he battled back to take the win.

:03:55. > :03:57.World number one Rafael Nadal though, who Murray was due to meet

:03:58. > :04:00.in the quarterfinals, has been knocked out.

:04:01. > :04:04.Now, at the weekend we told you about Lydia, the first Great White

:04:05. > :04:08.Shark to be tracked crossing the Atlantic. Well, experts say she may

:04:09. > :04:13.be pregnant and she could be heading to the UK. Lydia has swum 19,000

:04:14. > :04:18.miles since she was tagged in Florida a year ago, and could reach

:04:19. > :04:21.our shores within days. No-one is really sure why she's travelled so

:04:22. > :04:25.far or where she's heading, but some experts say she could be looking for

:04:26. > :04:28.somewhere to give birth. We will definitely keep across this one for

:04:29. > :04:32.you guys. Last up, to some very smart animals,

:04:33. > :04:36.elephants. A new study has found they can tell the difference between

:04:37. > :04:39.male and female voices, and can even work out different human languages.

:04:40. > :04:43.Researchers in Kenya played the sound of men, women and children

:04:44. > :04:46.saying the same phrase to a herd of wild elephants. They found the

:04:47. > :04:50.animals were more frightened of the men's voices, because male farmers

:04:51. > :04:52.were more likely to come into contact with them while defending

:04:53. > :04:59.their cattle. That's all from me. Leah will be

:05:00. > :05:01.back here with your afternoon headlines at 4.20pm. Bye-bye.
