:00:32. > :00:34.a judge this year, confirmed the announcement online overnight. The
:00:35. > :00:38.pair fell out when Cheryl was dropped from the American version of
:00:39. > :00:41.the show. After the announcement Cheryl posted a picture of herself
:00:42. > :00:46.with Simon joking about their falling out. TV critics say it's all
:00:47. > :00:50.a big plot to try and win back ratings as audience figures for the

:01:10. > :01:13.about the next wave of robots. Today, Ricky's taking a look at
:01:14. > :01:17.whether we will ever live with androids and how they might adapt to
:01:18. > :01:26.our lives. He's been given access to one of Britain's most futuristic
:01:27. > :01:31.homes, time to take a peek inside! This may look like a normal house on
:01:32. > :01:41.the outside, but what is going on inside could change the way we live
:01:42. > :01:52.our lives in the future. Hello, Ricky, welcome to the robot house.
:01:53. > :01:58.This property in Hertfordshire comes with two robots which are programmed
:01:59. > :02:03.to help us out with everyday tasks. There are lots of senses in this
:02:04. > :02:07.house. They are in the sofa, in the cupboards and doors. They are also
:02:08. > :02:12.on the ceiling and they are detecting our every single move, our
:02:13. > :02:19.daily habits and it is feeding that information into the computer. We
:02:20. > :02:25.have 60 senses here. We try to find out what a person is doing and then
:02:26. > :02:30.to use the technology here with the robots to try to help the person,
:02:31. > :02:38.reminding the person of appointments or to call a friend. This is the
:02:39. > :02:43.type of help that we have in mind. The sensors are in tune with this
:02:44. > :02:51.computer here. We can see a layout of the house. If somebody opens the
:02:52. > :02:58.microwave it has gone red. If it was open for too long it would alert us
:02:59. > :03:03.to close the door? Absolutely. This technology might help older people
:03:04. > :03:08.to stay in their houses for longer. It can remind them when to take
:03:09. > :03:14.their medicine or even to watch a favourite TV programme. Ricky, time
:03:15. > :03:18.to watch Newsround. And tune in to our next bulletin at
:03:19. > :03:24.8.15am right here on CBBC to see how Ricky got on in the robot house. Or
:03:25. > :03:27.check it out online right now! So already you've been sending us
:03:28. > :03:31.your robot designs. Oscar, who's six, has built this one out of Lego
:03:32. > :03:35.for us, it's a robot called James who shakes people's hands!
:03:36. > :03:39.Here's a horse robot from Phoebe in Essex. She says it doesn't need
:03:40. > :03:42.feeding or mucking out but you can still ride it and groom it!
:03:43. > :03:46.And six-year-old Daniel from Brighton has designed the wonderful
:03:47. > :03:52.Norbet 5,000. Not only does it do everything for you, it also has fire
:03:53. > :03:59.alarm ears. Brilliant. Head to the website for more, and to send us
:04:00. > :04:03.your own! Sport now and Arsenal will have to
:04:04. > :04:07.overcome a two goal deficit in Germany tonight if they are to go
:04:08. > :04:12.further in the Champions League. They will play Bayern Munich. Arsene
:04:13. > :04:19.Wenger says he still believes they can win tonight. Bayern Munich is a
:04:20. > :04:25.team which is full of confidence because they are doing well. But we
:04:26. > :04:30.have a great opportunity to do it. I am absolutely confident that
:04:31. > :04:34.mentally we will be ready to play at our best.
:04:35. > :04:38.Last up, to some very smart animals, elephants. A new study has found
:04:39. > :04:42.they can tell the difference between male and female voices, and can even
:04:43. > :04:45.work out different human languages. Researchers played the sound of men,
:04:46. > :04:49.women and children saying the same phrase to a herd of wild elephants,
:04:50. > :04:54.and found they were more frightened of the men's voices. That's all from
:04:55. > :04:58.me, Newsround's back in half an hour with how Ricky got on in the robot
:04:59. > :05:00.house. Bye-bye.
