:00:26. > :00:29.First to a big debate about keeping killer whales in captivity. A group
:00:30. > :00:33.of school girls have been involved in a campaign to stop the whales
:00:34. > :00:37.being used in performances at their local Sea World Park in San Diego in
:00:38. > :00:40.America. It has been supported by millions of people, but those who
:00:41. > :00:48.work with the mammals insist keeping some away from their natural
:00:49. > :00:52.environment is vital. Here's Ayshah. Killer whales are found in every
:00:53. > :00:59.ocean on the planet. It brought 50 to 100,000 -- it is
:01:00. > :01:03.thought 50 to 100,000 live in the wild.
:01:04. > :01:08.Sea World own 29, but are facing criticism over their use of killer
:01:09. > :01:17.whales in shows. These girls delivered over one million signature
:01:18. > :01:21.supporting a ban, and campaigned to have their trip to Sea World
:01:22. > :01:29.cancelled, but it didn't go down well with all their classmates.
:01:30. > :01:34.He was very mad with me. I said would you rather see whales not
:01:35. > :01:40.being treated right? Or see them in the ocean and go whale watching. The
:01:41. > :01:45.question of whether to ban Sea World from using the killer whales is
:01:46. > :01:49.being debated by lawmakers. They were expected to rule on an all out
:01:50. > :01:52.ban this week, but say they will delay any decision while the
:01:53. > :01:57.evidence is reviewed. Some believe it is cruel to have mammals as large

:02:02. > :02:05.thrive and indeed, they suffer. Simply from being held in
:02:06. > :02:08.confinement. No one is saying that their trainers are cruel to them,
:02:09. > :02:15.their trainers love them, but they don't thrive in captivity. Those who
:02:16. > :02:19.work with Sea World say what they do is vital for education and research.
:02:20. > :02:23.The proposed Bill will cripple our ability to conduct vital research.
:02:24. > :02:28.Much of the research that my colleagues and I conduct is not
:02:29. > :02:34.possible in the wild. Any ruling would affect Sea World in dan Diego
:02:35. > :02:35.and not other parts across America. It will be another year before a
:02:36. > :02:43.decision is made. Australian officials say they're
:02:44. > :02:46.confident that signals heard in the Indian Ocean are coming from the
:02:47. > :02:49.black box of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane. Flight MH370
:02:50. > :02:54.disappeared mid-flight a month ago, something that's extremely rare.
:02:55. > :02:57.Australia has been leading efforts to find the wreckage since then and
:02:58. > :03:03.their Prime Minister says the signals are helping them narrow down
:03:04. > :03:07.the search area. You can find out what a black box is
:03:08. > :03:12.and why it is important in the search on the Newsround website now.
:03:13. > :03:19.There is lots of help and advice if you find anything in the news
:03:20. > :03:23.upsetting. Next the National Trust is calling
:03:24. > :03:26.for a better plan to protect people from coastal erosion after heavy
:03:27. > :03:29.storms and high tides last winter caused major damage to the UK's
:03:30. > :03:32.seaside areas. Across the country several metres of land were filmed
:03:33. > :03:35.falling into the sea. Many people who live in these areas want better
:03:36. > :03:39.flood defences to stop the erosion. But the National Trust say it's
:03:40. > :03:43.safer to move buildings and houses back and let nature take its course.
:03:44. > :03:48.The White Cliffs that we see here today are beautiful because of
:03:49. > :03:51.erosion. If there was noer osion, we would have green slopes running down
:03:52. > :03:57.to the sea. It is the nature of the coast. There was a conservatory
:03:58. > :04:01.standing on site and we were able to remove that part of the building
:04:02. > :04:04.before it fell into the sea. The man behind the latest Spider-Man
:04:05. > :04:07.mask says playing the webbed wonder is something his ten-year-old self

:04:25. > :04:28.That's why, I think, he is the greatest.
:04:29. > :04:31.Finally to a turtle with a twist. After getting tangled up in a
:04:32. > :04:34.fishing net and losing his back flippers, Freedom's swimming days
:04:35. > :04:39.were over until carers in Israel gave him a prosthetic fin. It's
:04:40. > :04:43.based on fish fins and strapped to the top of his shell. Freedom is an
