:00:00. > :00:07.Hi, guys. Nel here, with news of crumbling cliffs, the Amazing

:00:08. > :00:12.Spiderman. And: Why the Royals ended up racing

:00:13. > :00:16.each other. You're watching Newsround.

:00:17. > :00:22.First, though, to the latest on the search for the missing Malaysian

:00:23. > :00:25.airlines plane. Australian officials say they're confident that signals

:00:26. > :00:28.heard coming from the Indian Ocean are from the black box of flight

:00:29. > :00:32.MH370. It disappeared mid-flight a month ago, something that's

:00:33. > :00:35.extremely rare. And Australia's been leading efforts to find the wreckage

:00:36. > :00:40.ever since. Their Prime Minister says the signals are helping to

:00:41. > :00:44.narrow down the search area. And there's loads more on why the

:00:45. > :00:47.black box is so important in this search, on the Newsround website.

:00:48. > :00:51.Plus, lots of help and advice if you find anything in the news upsetting.

:00:52. > :00:56.Next, to a big debate about keeping killer whales in captivity. A group

:00:57. > :00:59.of schoolgirls in America have been involved in a campaign to stop the

:01:00. > :01:03.whales performing at their local SeaWorld Park in San Diego. It's

:01:04. > :01:06.been supported by millions of people. But those who work with the

:01:07. > :01:15.mammals insist keeping some away from their natural environment is

:01:16. > :01:24.vital. Here's Ayshah. Killer whales are found in every

:01:25. > :01:29.ocean on the planet. It is thought 100,000 live in the wild with around

:01:30. > :01:38.50 in captivity in parks around the world. One park is facing criticism

:01:39. > :01:42.of using killer whales in shows. These girls delivered over 1 million

:01:43. > :01:47.signatures supporting a ban on using killer whales for entertainment and

:01:48. > :01:53.successfully campaigned to have their school trip to the SeaWorld

:01:54. > :02:01.Park cancelled. My friend was really mad with me. I told him, would you

:02:02. > :02:10.rather see killer whales are not treated right, or real Wales in the

:02:11. > :02:15.ocean and go whale watching? The issue is currently being debated by

:02:16. > :02:19.lawmakers in California. They were expected to vote on and off at ban

:02:20. > :02:25.this week but they now say the evidence will be reviewed. Some

:02:26. > :02:33.people believe it is cruel to keep these mammals in captivity. Indeed

:02:34. > :02:38.they suffer from simply being held in confinement. Nobody set is saying

:02:39. > :02:44.their trainers are being cruel. But they do not pride in captivity.

:02:45. > :02:49.Those who work at these parts say what they do is vital for research.

:02:50. > :02:54.The proposed bill will cripple our ability to conduct vital research.

:02:55. > :03:05.Much of this we search is not possible in the wild. The vote will

:03:06. > :03:11.affect only these parts in San Diego and not elsewhere in California.

:03:12. > :03:15.The National Trust is calling for a better plan to protect people from

:03:16. > :03:19.coastal erosion, after heavy storms and high tides last winter caused

:03:20. > :03:22.major damage to the UK's seaside areas. Across the country, several

:03:23. > :03:25.metres of land were filmed falling into the sea. Many people who live

:03:26. > :03:29.in these areas want better flood defences to stop the erosion. But

:03:30. > :03:30.the National Trust say it's safer to move buildings and houses back, and

:03:31. > :03:42.let nature take its course. And the Duke and Duchess of

:03:43. > :03:45.Cambridge have been showing their competitive sides in New Zealand.

:03:46. > :03:48.The couple went head-to-head for some yacht racing in the city of

:03:49. > :03:52.Auckland. The Duchess, who's an experienced sailor, won both races.

:03:53. > :03:55.The Duke joked that it was sabotage! The royals are on a three-week tour

:03:56. > :03:58.of New Zealand and Australia. Movie news, and it was the world

:03:59. > :04:01.Premiere of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 last night. The film features

:04:02. > :04:05.English actor Andrew Garfield as the webbed wonder, and he had this to

:04:06. > :04:08.say when he was asked what his ten-year-old self would have thought

:04:09. > :04:13.about playing such a famous character.

:04:14. > :04:19.I think I would have looked at me like I was crazy, I would have

:04:20. > :04:24.said, I don't think so, my friend, I think you are delusional. Well, here

:04:25. > :04:27.we are. It is very, very weird, very odd.

:04:28. > :04:30.And finally, to a turtle with a twist. After getting tangled up in a

:04:31. > :04:33.fishing net and losing his back flippers, Freedom's swimming days

:04:34. > :04:36.were over, until carers in Israel gave him a prosthetic fin. It's

:04:37. > :04:40.based on fish fins, and strapped to the top of his shell. Freedom is an

:04:41. > :04:44.endangered green turtle. It's hoped his new fin will get him swimming

:04:45. > :04:46.again and bring him out of his shell!
