:00:18. > :00:23.A low, friends, you have made the right choice, sticking with us live

:00:23. > :00:28.on BBC One. This is new round with Ore and Hayley. Everything you need

:00:28. > :00:34.to know, coming up. We take a look very closely at these rare spiders

:00:34. > :00:39.on the loose in south-west England. And we're talking UFOs. Still a

:00:39. > :00:43.mystery or the real deal? But first - the riots seem to have finally

:00:43. > :00:46.calmed down for now. It was much quieter across England last night.

:00:46. > :00:49.The heavy rain and tens of thousands of extra police on the

:00:49. > :00:54.streets put a stop to four nights of vandalism, violence and looting.

:00:54. > :00:57.Courts stayed open all night though, dealing with everyone arrested. And

:00:57. > :01:07.the Prime Minister David Cameron has been holding a special

:01:07. > :01:07.

:01:07. > :01:11.emergency debate on what's been happening. These were the streets

:01:11. > :01:16.last night, much calmer. Police had far fewer incidents to

:01:16. > :01:19.deal with and people stayed at home. In Birmingham, a special service

:01:20. > :01:22.was held to remember three young men who died in the violence. But

:01:22. > :01:26.while the streets were calm, the courts in Birmingham, Manchester

:01:26. > :01:30.and London were seriously busy. Many stayed open all night last

:01:31. > :01:37.night, and all day today. They're dealing with all those caught by

:01:37. > :01:40.the police during the last few days. So far, more than a thousand people

:01:40. > :01:43.have been arrested, mostly teenage or older, but some who are kids.

:01:43. > :01:46.One eleven year old boy has appeared in court charged with

:01:46. > :01:50.stealing a bin from a shop, and an eleven year old girl in Nottingham

:01:50. > :01:53.has pleaded guilty to criminal damage. She's been given a referral

:01:53. > :01:58.order which means appearing before a panel of people and agreeing to

:01:58. > :02:02.make amends for what she's done. Officers are now concentrating on

:02:02. > :02:05.catching suspects. They've released lots of CCTV pictures of people

:02:05. > :02:09.caught in the act, in the hope that people will recognise them and give

:02:09. > :02:13.their names to the police. But everyone's now hoping that the

:02:13. > :02:15.worst of the violence is over, and communities will once again be safe.

:02:15. > :02:22.MPs have been called back from their holidays for an emergency

:02:22. > :02:24.debate to discuss what's been going on. Prime Minister David Cameron

:02:24. > :02:29.said police got their riot tactics wrong, and there just weren't

:02:29. > :02:39.enough officers on the streets. Earlier, I went to the Houses of

:02:39. > :02:40.

:02:40. > :02:44.Parliament to find out exactly what MPs have been talking about.

:02:44. > :02:47.Right now, members of parliament discussing these riots. Have they

:02:47. > :02:51.got any answers? The politicians are spending hours coming up with

:02:51. > :02:54.answers. There are so many different theories. The main one is

:02:55. > :02:59.that right at the start, there were not enough police officers. Some

:02:59. > :03:02.people are suggesting that maybe there is a problem with society,

:03:02. > :03:07.maybe mothers and fathers not staying together has had an impact

:03:07. > :03:10.on kids growing up. Have they any ideas of what to do next? David

:03:10. > :03:16.Cameron announced some things they are changing. The police will have

:03:16. > :03:19.more powers to get people to remove face masks. There are also

:03:19. > :03:28.discussions of shutting down things like Facebook and Twitter if people

:03:28. > :03:34.are spreading trouble. The riots have had a effect on the sporting

:03:34. > :03:37.games this week. The Premier League Match between Tottenham and Everton

:03:37. > :03:39.on Saturday at White Hart Lane has been postponed. Some kick-off times

:03:39. > :03:42.could be made earlier too, to help police.

:03:42. > :03:45.Now all week The Newsround team have been looking into the rioting

:03:45. > :03:48.and what's behind it. And you can see our programme - 'Behind the

:03:48. > :03:50.Riots', a Newsround Special, tomorrow at 5 on BBC1 and on CBBC

:03:50. > :03:53.at 6.25pm. Back to footy for a sec, there's

:03:53. > :03:58.bad news for Arsenal fans. It looks like both Cesc Fabregas and Samir

:03:58. > :04:01.Nasri are about to confirm their moves from the club. Nasri's on his

:04:01. > :04:06.way to Manchester City and Fabregas, well, we always kinda knew he'd be

:04:06. > :04:09.heading for Barcelona. Arsenal say they'll use the money to buy fresh

:04:09. > :04:13.new players. And if you want to compete with the big boys, you need

:04:13. > :04:18.them! Now, there's a very important

:04:18. > :04:22.cricket match going on right now. If England win the Third Test at

:04:22. > :04:24.Edgbaston, they'll become the top team in the world.

:04:24. > :04:33.After destroying India's batsmen yesterday, England are racking up

:04:33. > :04:39.the runs thanks to wonderboys Strauss and Cook. Right now,

:04:39. > :04:46.England are on 359 for two wickets. Looking good.

:04:46. > :04:50.Next up, Spiders, do you love them or hate them? Hate them, of course,

:04:50. > :04:53.who would love them? Well bad news for you, but good news for me and

:04:53. > :04:55.anyone else who loves the little darlings, loads of them are being

:04:55. > :04:58.released into the wild today. Ladybird spiders, which are

:04:58. > :05:01.Britain's rarest breed have been facing extinction for many years.

:05:01. > :05:04.But after breeding them in captivity, 30 of them are ready to

:05:04. > :05:07.be released into the wild in Dorset. They're being moved in empty water

:05:07. > :05:14.bottles which can then be dug into the ground to make artificial

:05:14. > :05:18.burrows. Next up, we're talking about aliens

:05:18. > :05:21.from outer space. Ever seen one? Well, over the years thousands of

:05:21. > :05:26.people claim they've seen UFOs floating around in our skies

:05:27. > :05:32.Government files have just been released including 34 sightings.

:05:32. > :05:34.But they also show that they were never properly investigated.

:05:34. > :05:38.Welcome to this top secret government department. OK, it's

:05:38. > :05:45.just a room in the Newsround office - but for now, lets pretend it's a

:05:45. > :05:48.top secret government department. Here are some of the pictures sent

:05:48. > :05:55.into to the Ministry of Defence proving once and for all that alien

:05:55. > :05:59.life does, definitely, 100% exist. Take this photo of a UFO over the

:05:59. > :06:07.skies of Wiltshire, clearly showing an alien object. Absolutely not a

:06:07. > :06:11.smudge on the lens. And this one, a sketch of an alien space ship seen

:06:11. > :06:14.in Blackburn. Come on, you can't always have your camera when you

:06:14. > :06:17.see an alien lifeform! Over the years there've been thousands of

:06:17. > :06:26.UFO sightings including this one back in 1967 which turned out to be

:06:26. > :06:28.a fake. But some are harder to explain. This is a photo the

:06:28. > :06:34.government was sent of Retford town hall in Nottinghamshire, but look

:06:34. > :06:37.closely and in the background is a mysterious object.

:06:37. > :06:41.One government file tells the mysterious story of woman who said

:06:41. > :06:47.she'd seen a UFO. Police came to the scene with two strange men in

:06:47. > :06:57.spacesuits and dark glasses. But later, when she called the police

:06:57. > :07:00.station- they said they'd just sent two ordinary policemen. By the way,

:07:00. > :07:03.that isn't an actual photo - I'm just pretty handy with a computer.

:07:03. > :07:05.The government says they've never had the time, money or people to

:07:05. > :07:09.investigate these claims properly. And now the department that deals

:07:09. > :07:14.with them has been shut down. So it looks like they'll all remain a

:07:14. > :07:23.mystery. Now forget UFOs, what I really

:07:23. > :07:28.really want to see is Olympic diver Tom Daley.

:07:28. > :07:31.Well, now you can because he's been turned into a sculpture.

:07:31. > :07:35.Our very own Tom Daley, usually seen flying through the air of a

:07:35. > :07:38.swimming pool is now flying through Heathrow Airport. This life-size

:07:38. > :07:40.sculpture shows Tom in full diving flow greeting passengers as they

:07:40. > :07:44.arrive in London. And last up, to somewhere I reckon

:07:44. > :07:47.Tom Daley would probably like to go on his holidays. This is said to be

:07:47. > :07:50.the biggest waterpark in the world! It opened this summer in China's

:07:50. > :07:53.capital, Beijing. It's got 50 slides and 30,000 people can enjoy

:07:53. > :07:56.the fun at any one time. Cancel my holiday in Torquay! I'm heading to
