0:00:05 > 0:00:07Morning, guys, you're watching Newsround,
0:00:07 > 0:00:09here's what's coming up...
0:00:09 > 0:00:15Rooney is dropped from the England team after being jeered by fans.
0:00:15 > 0:00:22And the class running on pedal power.
0:00:31 > 0:00:31People who own one of the newest and most high tech smartphones
0:00:33 > 0:00:37in the world are being told NOT to turn them on.
0:00:37 > 0:00:43Samsung say those who own the Galaxy Note7 smart-phones should
0:00:43 > 0:00:45leave them turned off while it investigates why some
0:00:45 > 0:00:46of them are catching fire.
0:00:46 > 0:00:51They've also been taken out of all the shops.
0:00:52 > 0:00:54England, Northern Ireland and Scotland all play
0:00:54 > 0:00:56World Cup qualifiers tonight, but much of the focus
0:00:56 > 0:00:57is on Wayne Rooney.
0:00:57 > 0:01:00The England captain has been dropped to the bench by caretaker
0:01:00 > 0:01:03manager Gareth Southgate.
0:01:03 > 0:01:05The country's record goal-scorer hasn't been playing well recently
0:01:05 > 0:01:08and was even booed by fans at Wembley at the weekend.
0:01:08 > 0:01:10Here's what he had to say.
0:01:10 > 0:01:15Erm, listen, there's no embarrassment,
0:01:15 > 0:01:19I show great pride in playing for my country.
0:01:19 > 0:01:22Erm, and whether that's from the bench, then that's from the bench.
0:01:22 > 0:01:25You know, nothing has changed, in terms of my future over
0:01:25 > 0:01:28the next couple of years.
0:01:28 > 0:01:32So, played in the wrong position, booed by his own fans and now
0:01:32 > 0:01:34dropped from the team - what do you think about how Wayne
0:01:34 > 0:01:36Rooney is being treated by England?
0:01:36 > 0:01:41Go online and let us know. Does he deserve another chance?
0:01:42 > 0:01:46She's won two Olympic gold medals in boxing,
0:01:46 > 0:01:48so it's hard to imagine anyone trying to tell Nicola
0:01:48 > 0:01:49Adams what to do.
0:01:49 > 0:01:51But she's told Newsround that when she was younger,
0:01:51 > 0:01:54some coaches thought she wouldn't be a good boxer -
0:01:54 > 0:02:00because she's a girl. Ayshah's got more.
0:02:04 > 0:02:06COMMENTATOR: Nicola Adams let's out a triumphant roar,
0:02:06 > 0:02:12having been crowned Olympic champion for the second successive time!
0:02:12 > 0:02:16NICOLA: It'd just be nice to have people taking over and girls taking
0:02:16 > 0:02:21over the sport when I leave off.
0:02:21 > 0:02:24I'd like to be able to sit back on my sofa one day,
0:02:24 > 0:02:26and see the up-and-coming youngsters coming through and winning medals
0:02:26 > 0:02:29for the country, just like I was.
0:02:29 > 0:02:32What was it like for you when you started out in boxing?
0:02:32 > 0:02:33Were there many girls around?
0:02:33 > 0:02:36No, there wasn't. I was the only girl in my boxing gym.
0:02:36 > 0:02:38There would be coaches that would go to to boxing
0:02:38 > 0:02:41matches and they'd be like, "Women don't know how to box.
0:02:41 > 0:02:46Women can't box." I'd be like, "Really?
0:02:46 > 0:02:51I'm about to show you something right now."
0:02:51 > 0:02:55And I got in the ring and boxed and he totally changed his mind
0:02:55 > 0:02:59after he saw me box. He was like, "Wow, you could teach my lads here a
0:02:59 > 0:03:03thing or two down at the gym!"
0:03:03 > 0:03:05And it's nice to think that these days, there's actually a path
0:03:05 > 0:03:09for young girls to follow, I'd say, I created the road myself.
0:03:09 > 0:03:12And it's nice they've got a path to follow the journey won't be
0:03:12 > 0:03:15as hard for them as was for me.
0:03:15 > 0:03:19Who do you think should be doing more to get girls into sport?
0:03:19 > 0:03:22I think it's just important that girls get the encouragement
0:03:22 > 0:03:23that they can actually do anything.
0:03:23 > 0:03:26They are not restricted to doing one particular job or one particular
0:03:26 > 0:03:28field that they have to do.
0:03:28 > 0:03:30It's important they know there's a lot of different
0:03:30 > 0:03:37things that women can do. You know, we can do it all.
0:03:37 > 0:03:40Lots of girls drop out at a certain age because they feel quite awkward.
0:03:40 > 0:03:43What would your advice be to them?
0:03:43 > 0:03:46I would say, if you do feel that way, maybe take a friend along
0:03:46 > 0:03:49for a little bit of a confidence boost and maybe you'll
0:03:49 > 0:03:51start to feel, "Hey, you know what?
0:03:51 > 0:03:56I don't actually need you, I can do this on my own now," you know?
0:03:58 > 0:03:59What's your desk like at school?
0:03:59 > 0:04:02Well a teacher in North Caroline in America has changed her classes'
0:04:02 > 0:04:05desks so that it gets her pupils more focussed and get their energy
0:04:05 > 0:04:07out so they can learn better.
0:04:07 > 0:04:10How? By adding pedals to the desks.
0:04:10 > 0:04:17Here's what the pupils think of their unusual classroom.
0:04:17 > 0:04:19It's like you're actually on a bike but you're
0:04:19 > 0:04:20working at the same time.
0:04:20 > 0:04:24I thought it was weird because I've never seen anything like it before.
0:04:24 > 0:04:27But now I've got used to it, I think it's a good idea.
0:04:27 > 0:04:32It's not just sitting at a desk doing work,
0:04:32 > 0:04:34you are also doing physical activity.
0:04:34 > 0:04:37It definitely helps motivate us to learn.
0:04:37 > 0:04:40This keeps students focused and keeps us from
0:04:40 > 0:04:41tapping our pencils.
0:04:41 > 0:04:44Sometimes you can forget that you're actually cycling.
0:04:44 > 0:04:53But then other times, yeah, it can be kind of hard to do.
0:04:53 > 0:04:53Love
0:04:53 > 0:04:53Love that
0:04:53 > 0:04:55Love that idea!
0:04:55 > 0:04:58That's all from me, Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.
0:04:58 > 0:05:02Bye!
0:05:02 > 0:05:03Bye!
