0:00:12 > 0:00:15Hi, guys, Martin here with your Thursday afternoon Newsround.

0:00:15 > 0:00:17First up, parts of the UK have been getting their first taste

0:00:17 > 0:00:21of snow this winter.

0:00:21 > 0:00:25There's been lots of wintry weather - snow, winds and rain have been

0:00:25 > 0:00:28causing problems for roads, some airports and trains.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31In Scotland, some schools were closed.

0:00:31 > 0:00:31In many places trucks are putting grit on the roads and more snow

0:00:34 > 0:00:36is expected overnight.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39And don't forget we want your weather updates.

0:00:39 > 0:00:42If the snow is falling where you are, send us your pics

0:00:42 > 0:00:44or your own weather report by going online.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47Next up - a week before he becomes President,

0:00:47 > 0:00:49Donald Trump is involved in an argument with the media

0:00:49 > 0:00:53and with his own spy agency.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56It's all to do with secret files, spies and who is telling the truth.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59Sounds like a film - Ricky has more.

0:00:59 > 0:01:01Go ahead.

0:01:01 > 0:01:03President-elect...

0:01:03 > 0:01:05She is asking the question. Don't be rude.

0:01:05 > 0:01:06President-elect... Can you give us a question...

0:01:06 > 0:01:08Don't be rude.

0:01:08 > 0:01:11Donald Trump is making headlines before he starts as President.

0:01:11 > 0:01:12You are fake news.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15NEWSREADER: As the President-elect faces off against the media.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18At his first meeting with the world's media since he won

0:01:18 > 0:01:22the election last November, he refused to take a question

0:01:22 > 0:01:25from an American news station that he said was broadcasting fake

0:01:25 > 0:01:28stories about him. It was a pretty fiery moment.

0:01:28 > 0:01:32The media conference was supposed to be about what he'll do

0:01:32 > 0:01:35with his businesses when he becomes President.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38But how did we end up here?

0:01:38 > 0:01:41Well there's been lots of talk in the last few weeks

0:01:41 > 0:01:44about Mr Trump's relationship with Russia - and that is

0:01:44 > 0:01:47what caused the argument.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50The US spy agencies were given some information about Mr Trump

0:01:50 > 0:01:54and his team's dealings with Russia before and during the election.

0:01:54 > 0:01:57The evidence was shown to Mr Trump and to President Obama.

0:01:57 > 0:02:01Some of it was very embarrassing.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04But no-one knows if it is true - and Mr Trump says it's fake.

0:02:04 > 0:02:07But the information ended up in some of the media.

0:02:07 > 0:02:10Mr Trump is very angry about that.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13He thinks it was given to journalists by the US spies

0:02:13 > 0:02:15trying to make things difficult for him.

0:02:15 > 0:02:19I think it is a disgrace that information would be let out.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22It is all fake news, it is phony stuff.

0:02:22 > 0:02:26The US security chiefs say they didn't give it to the media.

0:02:26 > 0:02:30An argument like this is bad timing for Mr Trump.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33On January 20th he has his inauguration and officially

0:02:33 > 0:02:36becomes President - he wants everyone to be

0:02:36 > 0:02:40talking about THAT instead.

0:02:40 > 0:02:43Now from one kind of spy to another - if you're

0:02:43 > 0:02:46missing Planet Earth Two, there's a brand-new

0:02:46 > 0:02:50nature show called Spy In The Wild on TV tonight.

0:02:50 > 0:02:52Think furry robots and eye cameras and you've got a pretty

0:02:52 > 0:02:55unique nature show.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched?

0:02:59 > 0:03:04By a meerkat!

0:03:05 > 0:03:08Meet Huw Williams.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11He's a cameraman on the brand-new show Spy In The Wild,

0:03:11 > 0:03:15which uses animal robots to help spy on animals in the wild.

0:03:15 > 0:03:19So, we wanted to find out a little bit more about these

0:03:19 > 0:03:21rather hairy robots.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Tell us who have we got here?

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Here we have spy meerkat and spy peccary.

0:03:27 > 0:03:30There's 34 different robots, how did you make them?

0:03:30 > 0:03:33It's kind of a group effort.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35We have different engineers from around the world and some

0:03:35 > 0:03:38people do the internal robotics, whilst others do the aesthetics

0:03:38 > 0:03:41and design the skins and make them look the part.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43So these are the remote controls? Yes, they are.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46That looks familiar.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49This is almost like your average PlayStation remote control.

0:03:49 > 0:03:52But this controls the spy peccary here.

0:03:52 > 0:03:55Look at that! You are moving its head.

0:03:55 > 0:03:58That's quite realistic, the way it's moving its head.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00Yeah.

0:04:00 > 0:04:04That's the key, really, is to make these robotics look

0:04:04 > 0:04:06and act like the real thing, just to try and convince

0:04:06 > 0:04:09the animals out there and make them feel comfortable.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12Where would the camera be? The cameras are in fact in the eyes.

0:04:12 > 0:04:16All of our spy creatures are hiding a hidden camera there in the eye.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19What was the most surprising thing you learned in this series?

0:04:19 > 0:04:23There's one in particular, a spy meerkat here, the wild

0:04:23 > 0:04:27meerkats actually handed over baby-sitting responsibilities

0:04:27 > 0:04:31to our spy meerkat, and so they left these babies with him,

0:04:31 > 0:04:35whilst they went off hunting for food, which was fantastic.

0:04:35 > 0:04:38If you could create any robotic animal, which animal would it be?

0:04:38 > 0:04:41I think it would be the cheetah.

0:04:41 > 0:04:45Purely because I would just love to see a robot moving at that pace.

0:04:45 > 0:04:49But I think that's going to be the next step for us.

0:04:51 > 0:04:53Newsround's back at 7.40am tomorrow.

0:04:53 > 0:04:59Stay warm out there, guys!
