:00:00. > :00:08.Happy Wednesday morning. I'm Ayshah. Here's what's on the way.

:00:09. > :00:12.The castaway who claims he spent a year at sea finally arrives home.

:00:13. > :00:18.And we put your questions to the Britain's Got Talent judges. This is

:00:19. > :00:21.Newsround. First up, the weather and flood

:00:22. > :00:24.affected areas of southern England could see a month's worth of rain

:00:25. > :00:28.fall in the next few days. Severe flood warnings remain in place along

:00:29. > :00:32.the River Thames, and there are fears flooding could spread along

:00:33. > :00:35.the River Severn and the River Wye. More than 1,000 homes have been

:00:36. > :00:38.evacuated, mainly in the Thames Valley, and last night Nel met

:00:39. > :00:49.Olivia and Hannah from Wraysbury, whose houses are metres from the

:00:50. > :00:58.rising flood water. Five. Bolivia, where are we know?

:00:59. > :01:02.This is my drive, and this is where the floodwaters reached up to.

:01:03. > :01:08.Hannah, what is behind there, where the floodwater has reached to the

:01:09. > :01:14.top? There are a lot more houses, which I completely flooded. Where do

:01:15. > :01:18.you live on this road? About two doors down. So the floodwater has

:01:19. > :01:23.literally reached a couple of meters down there, and I can see you are

:01:24. > :01:27.already starting to prepare for it. Yes, we have put sandbags down to

:01:28. > :01:32.some of the floodwater getting in the house of it comes any closer. So

:01:33. > :01:36.what has the unity been going through because of the floods?

:01:37. > :01:41.Everyone has been pulling together, because it is obviously being in the

:01:42. > :01:45.village, people have been volunteering to help other people

:01:46. > :01:50.who have been flooded. Has it affected your day-to-day life? Yes,

:01:51. > :01:54.I missed school today and yesterday, and probably tomorrow. I have missed

:01:55. > :02:04.quite a lot of stuff. Are people affected because they may never see

:02:05. > :02:06.their homes the same again, and flooding might happen next month as

:02:07. > :02:09.well. I have seen first-hand the

:02:10. > :02:13.devastation that the floods can bring. Emergency services, the army

:02:14. > :02:17.and the local community have come together to do the best they can

:02:18. > :02:20.with this situation, and to better prepare for the bad weather ahead.

:02:21. > :02:23.This week on Newsround we're looking in to the illegal wildlife trade.

:02:24. > :02:26.Later this morning Prince William will make a speech about the

:02:27. > :02:29.devastating affect it's having on some of the world's most endangered

:02:30. > :02:34.species. In 2007, 13 rhinos were killed for their horns in South

:02:35. > :02:39.Africa. Last year, that figure had risen to over 1,000 and elephant

:02:40. > :02:42.poaching is even worse. In 2012, over 22,000 were killed as the

:02:43. > :02:50.demand for their ivory tusks grows in countries like China. On

:02:51. > :02:54.Newsround at 8:15, Leah will have a special report which you can also

:02:55. > :02:58.see on the Newsround website. The castaway who says he spent more

:02:59. > :03:01.than a year adrift in the Pacific has finally arrived home. Jose

:03:02. > :03:07.Alvarenga was met by family members and officials in his home country of

:03:08. > :03:10.El Salvador. He was found washed up two weeks ago in the Marshall

:03:11. > :03:14.Islands. His tale of survival on a small boat in the Pacific Ocean has

:03:15. > :03:21.left many wondering if it was true, but details emerging from Mexico

:03:22. > :03:24.seem to back up his story. It's day five of the Winter

:03:25. > :03:27.Olympics. These are live pictures from Sochi and of the women's

:03:28. > :03:30.downhill. Team GB's Chemmy Alcott is competing and is one of 42 women

:03:31. > :03:37.hurtling themselves down a mountain faster than most cars go on the

:03:38. > :03:40.motorway. It's a packed day of action in Sochi - later on there's

:03:41. > :03:44.curling, luge, women's halfpipe, men's 1000m speed skating and the

:03:45. > :03:51.men's Nordic Combined, a mixture of cross country skiing and ski

:03:52. > :03:54.jumping. In last night's footy, Chelsea

:03:55. > :03:58.missed out on going four points clear at the top of the Prem after

:03:59. > :04:02.this last minute goal from West Brom's Victor Anichebe. The Blues

:04:03. > :04:05.took the lead just before the first half and looked set to take all

:04:06. > :04:08.three points. Last night also saw one of the saves of the season -

:04:09. > :04:11.Cardiff keeper David Marshall pulling off this remarkable save

:04:12. > :04:17.against Aston Villa during their 0-0 draw.

:04:18. > :04:21.The stars of the small screen were out in force on the red carpet last

:04:22. > :04:25.night for the launch of the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent. Our

:04:26. > :04:27.very own master of all things showbiz, Ricky Boleto, put your

:04:28. > :04:35.questions to them. Here's what they had to say.

:04:36. > :04:39.Stephanie says, how you ever one singing talent competition? No,

:04:40. > :04:45.because I can't sing a note. I clearly have no talent! Jessica

:04:46. > :04:51.says, will there be any on the show this year? Simek are any cats? So

:04:52. > :04:57.far there hasn't been, and honestly, I don't think there will be.

:04:58. > :05:00.If you wants to see more of the judges, head over to our website,

:05:01. > :05:03.where you can catch Ricky's full report right now.

:05:04. > :05:04.That's all from me, Newsround's back in
