0:00:04 > 0:00:07Hi Newsrounders, Jenny here, live with all the news you need

0:00:07 > 0:00:08to know this Sunday.

0:00:08 > 0:00:13Here's what's coming up.

0:00:13 > 0:00:16Good news for some of the whales stranded in New Zealand.

0:00:16 > 0:00:18And Moana, Finding Dory or Kubo - who will win big

0:00:18 > 0:00:23at tonight's BAFTAs?

0:00:29 > 0:00:32First, good news for the hundreds of pilot whales that were stranded

0:00:32 > 0:00:33on a beach in New Zealand.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35More than 200 of the animals have re-floated themselves

0:00:35 > 0:00:38and returned to sea.

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Earlier, volunteers managed to re-float around 100 of them, too.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44But why did so many get stranded, and why is it so important

0:00:44 > 0:00:49that they get back to sea?

0:00:49 > 0:00:51Whales form a really strong social bonds in their groups.

0:00:51 > 0:00:53They're in family groups or pods.

0:00:53 > 0:00:55Because of these strong family bonds, when one

0:00:55 > 0:00:58individual becomes stranded, it sends out a distress signal,

0:00:58 > 0:01:01which means all the others want to come and help

0:01:01 > 0:01:02and protect it.

0:01:02 > 0:01:04They will come into the bay, and then also end up

0:01:04 > 0:01:05stranded themselves.

0:01:05 > 0:01:08You need to try and get them back into deep waters

0:01:08 > 0:01:09as soon as possible.

0:01:09 > 0:01:12These animals need the water to support their bodies.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15They're quite large, six to seven metres, they weigh a lot,

0:01:15 > 0:01:19so being on the sand puts great strain on their organs.

0:01:19 > 0:01:23OK, time for a quick round-up of some of the top sport stories.

0:01:24 > 0:01:26Scotland play France in the Six Nations at three o'clock,

0:01:26 > 0:01:29looking to make it two wins from two, after their impressive win

0:01:29 > 0:01:32against Ireland last weekend.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34They haven't won in Paris, though, since 1999 and can

0:01:34 > 0:01:37expect a tough match.

0:01:37 > 0:01:39There was delight for England as they took their unbeaten

0:01:39 > 0:01:42run to 16 matches - beating Wales in Cardiff yesterday.

0:01:42 > 0:01:46England were less than five minutes from defeat against Wales,

0:01:46 > 0:01:51until Elliot Daly got a late winning try.

0:01:51 > 0:01:53Yesterday's other game was a rather different story.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56Ireland scoring nine tries against Italy

0:01:56 > 0:02:00in a 63-10 thrashing in Rome.

0:02:02 > 0:02:05This week on Newsround we've been talking about selfies,

0:02:05 > 0:02:12because a Newsround survey suggested that more than half

0:02:12 > 0:02:15of 10 to 12-year-olds who use social media like to share selfies

0:02:15 > 0:02:17with their friends - and most think it's important

0:02:17 > 0:02:19to look as good as possible when they do.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22For loads of you selfies are just a bit of fun,

0:02:22 > 0:02:23but is there a serious side too?

0:02:23 > 0:02:25Ricky's got this one.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27With cameras in our phones and tablets, there is nothing easier

0:02:27 > 0:02:28than snapping a selfie.

0:02:28 > 0:02:30# Let me take a selfie.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33Looking good, being creative and having fun.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36You get likes, and you get nice comments.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38You need to get your good side.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40You need to have it high.

0:02:40 > 0:02:41I pull it in.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43I turn it so it makes an angle.

0:02:43 > 0:02:48Good lighting.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51I just put my hand up to the sky and take a picture.

0:02:51 > 0:02:53The high angle and the tanned filter.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56Would all like to look good, but how important is it to look good

0:02:56 > 0:02:58in a selfie that we share?

0:02:58 > 0:03:00More than four out of five say it is.

0:03:00 > 0:03:02# Let me take a selfie.

0:03:02 > 0:03:04But what happens when it isn't just good fun?

0:03:04 > 0:03:06Sometimes people get more likes than you, and you may get

0:03:06 > 0:03:08a little bit jealous.

0:03:08 > 0:03:10There is a little bit of pressure.

0:03:10 > 0:03:15When you post a really bad picture, people wouldn't like you.

0:03:15 > 0:03:19The celebrities, they do stuff and then they...

0:03:19 > 0:03:22Like, they wear lots and lots of make-up and it makes us

0:03:22 > 0:03:25feel like we have to do that to look good.

0:03:25 > 0:03:28I think selfies are a bit of fun, because what do

0:03:28 > 0:03:33you do when you're bored?

0:03:33 > 0:03:36When I take a picture, I take about five and before I pick

0:03:36 > 0:03:37the one, then I post it.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41When I take a picture, I take about three before I post one.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43I make it like it don't show your spots.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46In real life, you can see everything.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49But on a picture, it blurs out some of the things.

0:03:49 > 0:03:52You can blur out spots or stuff like that.

0:03:52 > 0:03:54Most of you take around four selfies before you find one

0:03:54 > 0:03:56you would like to post.

0:03:56 > 0:04:03And then most of you edit them with filters or cropping.

0:04:03 > 0:04:06But is it possible to worry too much about how you look?

0:04:06 > 0:04:08Young people feel at massive sense of pressure to make

0:04:08 > 0:04:09themselves look perfect.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12But the problem is that the pictures that they're looking out of other

0:04:12 > 0:04:13people's lives are edited.

0:04:13 > 0:04:15So you're comparing yourself with something that isn't real.

0:04:15 > 0:04:19Selfies are meant to be a bit of fun between you and your mates,

0:04:19 > 0:04:22but when it stops being fun, you need to take a step back.

0:04:22 > 0:04:24You don't need to be self-conscious of yourself,

0:04:24 > 0:04:26because you look good the way you are.

0:04:26 > 0:04:28Always keep your account on private.

0:04:28 > 0:04:32Don't be bothered if anyone doesn't like what you posting.

0:04:32 > 0:04:34Just be yourself.

0:04:34 > 0:04:36Just do it for a laugh, really.

0:04:36 > 0:04:40Like, don't take it serious.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46And don't forget there's loads more on our survey and how to make sure

0:04:46 > 0:04:50you're being safe on social media at Newsround online.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53All the A-listers will be getting ready to strut their stuff

0:04:53 > 0:04:57on the red carpet tonight, for UK movie awards, the BAFTAS.

0:05:16 > 0:05:19Which one would you give the best film award to?

0:05:19 > 0:05:22Would it be one of the animated movies, or something totally

0:05:22 > 0:05:23different like Rogue One or Fantastic Beasts?

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Go online and have your say.

0:05:25 > 0:05:29Now before I go, just take a look at these pictures.

0:05:29 > 0:05:33They're from the opening round of the Air Race

0:05:33 > 0:05:35World Championships, in Abu Dhabi.

0:05:35 > 0:05:36The aim is to fly round the racetrack,

0:05:36 > 0:05:38between the air-filled pylons, in the fastest possible time.
