:00:00. > :00:09.Do you want to hear from a top Paralympian about Team GB's
:00:10. > :00:12.mega-success so far at Sochi? And do you want to meet the robot helping
:00:13. > :00:18.kids with autism? Then you're in the right place. I'm Ayshah and you're
:00:19. > :00:22.watching Newsround. One gold, two silver, one bronze.
:00:23. > :00:25.There are still four days left of the Winter Paralympics in Sochi, and
:00:26. > :00:29.Team GB have already smashed their medal target. This morning visually
:00:30. > :00:33.impaired skier Jade Etherington came second in the slalom. 15-year-old
:00:34. > :00:39.Millie Knight, Team GB's youngest ever competitor, came an impressive
:00:40. > :00:43.fifth. The Winter Paralympics have never been so big. So how can we
:00:44. > :00:46.make sure the future Millie Knights and Jade Etheringtons get the best
:00:47. > :00:49.chances? We've got a Paralympic star with us
:00:50. > :00:55.- it's wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft who won two golds at London
:00:56. > :01:02.2012. It's been brilliant stuff from Team GB in Sochi.
:01:03. > :01:05.What's your favourite moment so far? Millie Knight, being so young and
:01:06. > :01:09.carrying the flag and every single medal afterwards, running back more
:01:10. > :01:15.memories. Is there a winter sport you'd like to try? One of my
:01:16. > :01:21.competitors in wheelchair racing is currently doing Nordic skiing so I
:01:22. > :01:27.can do that, to! Do you feel it's a good time for British Paralympic
:01:28. > :01:30.sport? This is an amazing time, our success in Sochi is adding to the
:01:31. > :01:35.success in London and we are growing as a sport every year. Incredible.
:01:36. > :01:39.Are there enough opportunities for kids to get into Paralympic sports?
:01:40. > :01:44.There are more chances than before London, we have the playground
:01:45. > :01:49.podium, coming through schools and Sportsday, going around the country
:01:50. > :01:53.so everybody can try out every single sport. If kids are watching
:01:54. > :01:58.thinking, this is for me, what's your advice? Find a sport that you
:01:59. > :02:02.love and that is a first step. Thanks, Hannah..
:02:03. > :02:07.Next, to more of your fantastic robo-designs. Grace designed this
:02:08. > :02:12.amazing robot that can tidy up. Craig's cool Springbots hang out the
:02:13. > :02:17.washing. And Florrie and Heidi designed Robot Rex which looks after
:02:18. > :02:21.your dog when you're not there. Keep sending your designs to the
:02:22. > :02:24.Newsround website. But what about a robot that can help kids with
:02:25. > :02:27.autism? People who have autism can have problems relating to others and
:02:28. > :02:30.making sense of the world around them. Now British scientists have
:02:31. > :02:43.come up with some high tech help. Here's Ricky. Meet Casper, he might
:02:44. > :02:50.look unusual but this humanoid robot is helping young children living
:02:51. > :02:53.with autism. For children with autism, sometimes even the simplest
:02:54. > :03:00.things, like knowing when someone is happy, can be a challenge. The
:03:01. > :03:04.condition can make it very difficult for them to talk and play with
:03:05. > :03:07.others. But at this special school in Hertfordshire, they have a
:03:08. > :03:14.robotic teacher helping children to learn. Four-year-old Ireland gets to
:03:15. > :03:24.play with Casper every week. Shall we say hello? Scientists in children
:03:25. > :03:34.with autism like a simple features and repetitive phrases. Does he talk
:03:35. > :03:39.to you? Yes. He says hello. You cannot they can. You have to be
:03:40. > :03:48.careful. Do you like talking to him? Yes. I love to. Can you make Casper
:03:49. > :03:53.have a happy face? Teachers here say they have noticed an improvement in
:03:54. > :03:59.the way some children communicate. And researchers are working hard to
:04:00. > :04:03.further develop Casper. Engineers in Hertfordshire are using the latest
:04:04. > :04:07.technology to bring these robots to lie. They are even using a 3D
:04:08. > :04:14.printer to correct these plastic body parts. 20 new robots will be
:04:15. > :04:17.given to parents and schools later this year over the UK and it is
:04:18. > :04:21.hoped that Casper will help children with autism make new friends, go to
:04:22. > :04:25.school and understand the world around them a little bit better.
:04:26. > :04:29.We're robot crazy this week on the Newsround website. As well as your
:04:30. > :04:33.robot designs, you can watch Ricky spend the night in a robot house and
:04:34. > :04:37.meet the robots of the future. Plus there are stacks of fun quizzes and
:04:38. > :04:40.weird videos to keep you busy all afternoon.
:04:41. > :04:44.That's it, guys, we're out of time. I'm back just before 7pm with your
:04:45. > :04:46.last Newsround update of the day. See you then, right here on CBBC.
:04:47. > :04:52.Bye!
